Read he could face up to 6 years in prison if the charges are true.

He said in the press conference that Mikel had returned to training but before the match he was declared unfit by the Chelsea twitter account as Jason has pointed it out. And no, this is not a 'major point'. Even if he was dropped by Benitez, this has almost zero influence on the next season since we are under new management.

Yes. You do actually have to watch the football to get to rate it. I feel weird that I have to point that out. African nations have constantly made it to the knockout stages of the WC and beat some footballing giants on the way. On their day, any of the top African NTs van beat any of the top European ones. People like Mikel and Moses play better simply because the system suites them more (PS: how do you know they play better if you never watched it? ) But that accounts for vet little when some of the best players in Europe like Etoo, Drogba, Tata You're...etc have looked like average players in the AFCON. I don't know about "respect" but they certainly have quality football in Africa.

He did have some excellent games, especially towards the end of the season, but in some other games he was completely invisible, especially when Mata and Hazard where not on the pitch. I do hope he finds the consistency next season, because technically he has the potential to become a world-class player.

Thanks but I already found it and edited my post

What exactly did he say? Do you have a link? All I read was the BS started by Palmeri. EDIT: Found it. He did not say that we made a bid for him. He said we are interested and might call him (to make a bid). Which basically means we just inquired about him. That happens all the times between clubs even for players you're not really going after. And in the same sentence he goes on to say that his agent (and brother) said that he will stay at Napoli.

Can you provide a legit source that we are after Cavani?
-
That's very unfair. Mata should at least get 12! Excellent article, mate and a very good analysis. Maybe a bit too optimistic with the ratings, especially with Oscar..
-
I just wish people would actually watch the AFCON or at least have some idea about African football before making claims about it's level.. Just a minor note since you seem to be basing your whole argument on the "fact" that Mikel was dropped at the end of last season, but I thought you should know that Mikel was injured for the last 3 weeks of the season which is why he didn't participate in any matches. That being said, even assuming that he was indeed dropped, I cannot see how this is going to be problematic for Jose next season. There is absolutely no logical connection between Mikel signing a 5-year contract then being dropped by a managed that has already departed and Jose having problems with Emenalo.

He looks like he just broke out of cartoon jail!
-
No he hadn't before today. He came on in the 79th min against Italy and did not feature against Norway. That's why I was implying that your comment about him doing badly in this tournament before this match was unfair.
-
Yes he didn't set the world alight in the 10 mins he played in.
-
He literally played 10 mins before today! Been good so far. Definitely the best of the 3 central midfielders. But I have to say, how in the Pearce managed to make this side look so shit?! Completely lacking coherence especially in attack.
-
Not necessarily. Remember when we signed Falcao back in December? Besides all these Cavani rumors where started by Palmeri then everyone else was quoting him and SkyItalia as their source.
-
Well I disagree. Rooney always tracks back even to the edge of his own penalty area whenever his team does not have the ball. He also defends extremely well for an attacker. I don't think any attacker does that except may be Cavani at times. Well what are your criteria for being world class? I say he is world class because he has excellent technical ability in his passing, shooting...etc. Tactically he's great. In fact, I'd say that he's been united's most important tactical player for years, now. Physically he's good as well: he has good pace and power. As an attacker, his movement is excellent and his finishing very clinical as evident by his goal-scoring record even though he's been often played in midfield in the past 2-3 seasons.
-
Wow. The AFCON is below average?! Have you ever even watched it? Oh, and btw, the second example was about Romeu not Mikel! At least read his opinion before you completely dismiss it
-
Like I said before, I'd love Rooney here. I'm a big fan of his, especially when he plays in the n10 role. His work-rate is unbelievable and his defending and tracking back is probably the best I've ever seen by an attacker. I always say when United play with Rooney just behind another striker, they play with 12 men. He's the equivalent of a midfielder and attacker at the same time. That said, I very very much doubt we'll see him in a Chelsea shirt. First, United are not Arsenal, they are smarter than selling a world class player to a rival. Second his wages are just ridiculous (was it 250k/wk?!!) and with so many high earners already here, the board will probably be very reluctant to sign him.
-
Exactly. I'm not buying this "Abramovic gave Mourinho 100m to sign Cavani and Hulk" stories.
-
With all the players we've been linked with this past month, I genuinely think that this is the only player we've actually tried to sign. All the rest is BS rumors.
-
I think there will be more a sense of uncertainty about their new system that is bound to still have glitches. Besides they're under Martinez now, so they should start actually playing around April
-
Would love Everton. Under new manager, usually start the season slow. Would be good start for Jose especially at the bridge.
-
LOL What? Meh, probably saves us 2-3 years of paying a percentage his wages while he's on loan.
-
LOL don't get your hopes. Signing Lazar and loaning to Benfica is actually some pretty good business by the board. I wonder how much we paid for him though. Would be disappointed if we paid more than 10-12m.
-
Yeah I agree. If Cech suffers a long-term injury, I think we call back Courtois.
-
On what page did you get that?
