  1. I think everyone can draw their own conclusions from the images of the PMs I posted. But I think you're going to need a better excuse than that! The point behind this thread? You seemed so convinced that you are more of a fan because you go to SB to the point that you found it laughable that I claim that I am as much a fan as you are, that I thought we should have other people's opinion about this to see if they agree with you, or me.
  2. Why? He had the guts to say this to me in private as an attack. Why shouldn't I expose his opinions about international fans to other members? If he cannot defend his opinion in public, he should not be making it in private, especially as an attack.
  3. I posted the exact PMs that you sent me, I think people can clearly tell what you meant by it. Yes, we did have a disagreement but it had absolutely nothing with the PM you sent me. You sent that to me as an attack, as I stated in the OP. And it's not the first time you've done that. You seem to often imply that the international members that do not agree with you are not true fans. And how am I the spineless one? You are the one who can't defend his claims in public. If you do not have the guts to say what you said in that PM in public, then you should not have said it in private.
  4. Hey guys. I was having an interesting 'discussion' with @The only place to be, via PM about who are Chelsea fans, and since we were disagreeing, I thought we should make it public and get all members' opinions on the matter. Yes, you guessed it, it was the old "Only people who go to SB are true Chelsea fans" argument. And so I won't be accused of putting words in anyone's mouth, here is the exact conversation: Now as you can clearly see, in this PM, which was supposed to be an attack on me, TOPTB is making a point that only English fans are true Chelsea fans while the rest are only good for buying shirts. Personally, I find that hilarious since he is saying that while enjoying this forum that has a widely diversified demographic base and despite having some terrific English members, would just not be the same without the international members as well. But perhaps there is some reasoning behind this claim that I have failed to grasp and that someone can explain to me. So what do you guys think? Are the English fans that can go to SB the only true Chelsea fans? Now I realize that I'm probably being a jerk by posting the PM he sent me, but I've had this argument a few times with a couple of people and they always make this claim when talking to international fans but hide their opinion in public among other English fans. So I just wanted to see if he can defend his opinion in public rather than just attack me in private.
  5. Would rather send Piazon there, tbh. He has much more potential to be something for the club in the future.
  6. Except absolutely nothing in my post has anything to do with Mikel, you idiot. :lol2: I'm sorry you have to attack my posts in order to feel secure about your opinion and I'm sorry that you have to try to take my opinion out of context and make it seem something it is not in order for you to attack it, but I won't be posting about Mikel before the new season because I see no point in doing so. So you'll have to find someone else to attack whenever he posts something to help your pathetic ego.
  7. Very few people will read that because it is more than 5 lines. I know from experience that people around here very rarely read long posts. Sorry to disappoint you, but I was praising the analysis of the managers approaches not the part about Mikel. The brilliance about it is that I've never read anyone make a similar analysis about the styles. he offered a completely different view point and backed it with his logic. You don't have to agree with it, but at least he did something other than repeating the same things that everyone else says. Few people do that.
  8. As far as I know they're very similar except at the end. Schurrle is pronounced with 'le' while surely with 'li'.
  9. How much time do you reckon before people start using "Schurrle" instead of "surely" like they us "Mata" instead of "matter"? Schurrle it won't take that long!
  10. I've had some criticism for this deal, but now that he is here, I wish him the best of luck and all the success in the world. Welcome to the family Andre :cfc:
  11. Is Sky sport Germany reliable? Not a big fan of Schurrle, but I'm happy as long as KDB is not part of the deal.
  12. Brilliant analysis mate about our managers. Too bad very few people will actually attempt to read that because it's truly a top post. Thanks for that.
  13. Moved to the transfer talk section. As it stands it looks likely that it will be Van Ginkel. Although it could be that we already signed Markovic except everyone seems to have a different story about that!
  14. Again, I can't see the connection. We are under new management. Mikel, as you said, will get a chance, and if he proves himself in training and on the pitch, he will get a starting place. I'm sorry, but I still can't understand how a few performances from last season come into the equation.
  15. I'm still not buying the Cavani rumors, so I don't think he's going anywhere.
  16. So, what do we do with him? With De Bruyne almost confirmed to be returning, and us looking likely to sign Schurrle, I can't see him getting any game time here next season. I think the best we can do is loan him out and hope he can rediscover him self again.
  17. Doesn't he have something like a 1.7m/yr deal here? He's not going anywhere anytime soon.
  18. Ah, the transfer window at it's confusing best..
  19. Palace won't be a bad move for him at all. He can get regular game time there.
  20. From the right hand, yes. From the left, Hazard rarely fails to hit the first defender.
  21. I'm sorry, but you just can't say Moses is not Chelsea quality then go on to defend Marko Marin in the same breath. I was one of the people hyping Marko up, but he just failed to deliver. On the other hand, Victor is a great squad player who, despite having a bad end of season, still managed to score 11 goals for us this season. That's an excellent return for a squad player. The difference between Moses and Marin is that if Victor is having a bad day in attack and things are not clicking for him, he still makes up for it with his work-rate. Unlike Marin, Moses defends superbly well and tracks back all the time. He really give a lot of defensive solidity to the flank he's playing on. That is why he was picked over Marin, because what he brings to the team is much more than what happens when he's on the ball. So, Victor Moses will probably never be regarded as world class, so what? He's young and can only get better, he's homegrown, he's on low wages, and he is the type of player you want sitting on your bench as second/third option. You can have 10 "Messi"s and an Oliver Kahn in your team but you still won't win anything if you don't have squad players and depth in your team.
  22. Thanks Easy. Start using Chrome Firefox is dead and buried in the 'Browsers War'.
