  1. Already signed for Dortmund from what I read yesterday.
  2. No, no. You're plan 'Z', we only keep you for apocalyptic emergencies!
  3. I wouldn't get my hopes up, that Palmeri guy has been writing a lot of BS lately.
  4. Definitely an old pic, from what I remember AVB and Jose don't talk to each other anymore.
  5. I think it's his inability to close down players before they cross is what frustrates people the most when he plays at RB.
  6. I think Rafa found the solution for that when he tweaked the formation to something closer to 4-4-1-1 towards the end of the season with Juan playing right behind the striker. I think that is Juan's best position and where his future is, but unfortunately that will need Hazard to be on the ball less often and put in more defensive work. We'll also need another winger because Moses can't be a starter.
  7. Probably because I have absolutely no idea what that means Seriously though, the season is over and there is no actual football to discuss so people tend to create threads like this and this stops the forum from being too inactive.
  8. Can't see this happening, tbh, although it would be amazing. But I think Stevan wants to stay in Italy.
  9. But it's not just that game. He's been invisible all season. First people were blaming that on his issues with Zeman, but Zeman has been gone for 4 month now and De Rossi is yet to show some glimpses of his old self.
  10. No I completely agree. Petr has maybe lacked a bit of motivation because there really hasn't been anyone pushing him for his starting position in a very long while.
  11. From what I've seen from clips from Cobham, he's usually training with the players rather than training them. But of course you could be right. It's just the first thing that occurred to me was "Why not give his job to Paulo instead?"
  12. Yeah he isn't allowed to sit in the dugout unless he gets his badges. And it's not like he is exactly loved by the players or the fans!
  13. Well you can have a rule (I think we already have one) but good luck making people follow it!
  14. Sorry to bump this, but I'm hearing that he's still at the club despite Rafa leaving which makes absolutely no sense since he doesn't even have his badges to coach here!
  15. Torres has improve his linkup play in the last two months, but even during that period he's had games where he had me pounding my head against a brick wall. I hope that this form continues, but with Torres, I can't help but be skeptic.
  16. That doesn't really conflict with what I said. I'm not saying that we should throw Thibaut away, just that at the moment it makes much more sense to keep Cech and loan Courtois out because Petr is still the better keeper. At the end of next season we can asses the situation again and make a decision again. PS: I'm not sure what mistakes you're talking about. You can literally count the 'mistakes' Cech has made this season on one hand.
  17. I'm not disputing that Thibaut is a good keeper or that he is capable of pulling off world-class save, I'm just saying that he can't do it as consistently as Petr. Cech is still the better keeper, especially when it comes to positioning and decision making, which is only natural because those things come with experience. But that could sometimes be the difference between 3 points and no points. Not sure how Barcelona come into the equation. They have Victoe Valdez i goal, there is absolutely no comparison.
  18. I'm not comparing Courtois to Cech when he was his age, I'm comparing then right now. And at this instant, Cech is the better keeper and if we want instant results and short time success then Petr should be in goal for us next season.
  19. Well I disagree. I've lost count of the times this season that Cech has came up with an out of this world save to keep us in a game. It almost happens every single game but we are so used to Cech that we don't remember anymore. If we want to just build a squad for the future next season and settle for a top 4 finish then we can sell Cech and recall Courtois, but if we want to challenge for the tittle then we're going to need the likes of Cech and Cole and JT.
  20. Ba can go on a 10 year goal drought and still offer to the team much much more than Torres. First of all, he's a target man, unlike Torres, so he offers us the option to lump the ball forward when our midfield is having problems and you can bet that more often than not he'll get to it first and get a knock down to a teammate. Secondly, he is a great physical presence; he can keep both CBs occupied unlike Torres who usually just runs away to the wings. Ba also actually gets involved in link-up play and make passes and create space behind him for Mata to run into unlike Torres who likes to just run into defenders whenever he gets the ball into his feet. There is no denying that towards the end of the season, Torres went on a decent run of form in the EL while Ba was off form but that does not erase the horror show Torres has put on in the past two and a half seasons or the great work Demba has done with the team. And let's not forget that Ba came into the team midseason which is always extremely difficult. So let's just wait for Demba to have a proper preseason with the team and see how he performs next season before we send him to League one.
  21. The problem for Thibaut is that Cech is still by far the better keeper and definitely in the top 3 keepers in the world. You can't replace someone like that even if he's getting old. And you can't rotate keepers like outfield players, that's just a sure way to ruin both. Right now, it's pretty clear that we should keep Cech and loan Courtois. A loan to a PL club would be the best for his development, imo, but it would be unfair to not let him play in the CL after helping his team get there. At the end of the next season we have a look at the kind of season each of two keepers have had and make a decision again.
  22. We won 4-2 at WHL Alot of important games, but I think the away win at OT was a big one. Took all the pressure off us and put it in Spurs.
  23. Too bad there's absolutely zero chance any of them will leave Juve in the foreseeable future
