  1. If I don't like them? Half the posts I moved were my own! I brought up MVG to highlight Josh's passing abilities. Some responses came about MVG only and I replied to them about MVG only as well which means they have nothing to do with this thread. So I moved them to Marco's thread because I felt that the discussion will go on for a long time. I did not want this thread to get derailed. Unfortunately you seem intent on just that.
  2. My point was more about why are we loaning Josh out. Yes he is better defensively than Josh, but Josh is a much better passer. They're not really that far apart in terms of ability and personally if I had to chose, I'd chose our academy product. Neither of them is comparable to Ramires.
  3. I brought him in comparison with Josh and moved the posts that were only about Van Ginkel to his thread so that this one won't get derailed.
  4. I don't care who wrote that. I saw the two games and this is my opinion. I've expressed it, and I've explained why and I'm going to find a video of his performance and point out the incidents I'm talking about. If you think otherwise then feel free to explain why. "You're drunk" is not really an intelligent counter-argument.
  5. Van Ginkel's passing has been terrible in both games. Fist he's very slow at it and often needs an extra touch or two before releasing the ball. Second, his technique is awful, meaning even when he does make the pass it is often either behind the player or difficult for him to control; meaning the receiver often has to take an extra touch which also slows down the play. Moreover, his vision is bad; he seems only to be able to make the 'obvious' pass and when a defender blocks that angle he looks unsure what to do and often goes back to defense. And finally, he seems to struggle with passes more than 15-20 meters away and often misplaces them. It's still way too early and I'm not passing judgement, but I have not yet seen how Van Ginkel is good at everything else. I'm going to move those posts because this is not his thread.
  6. Yes it's only preseason and yes it's only for fitness. But I couldn't help but wonder today, why in the hell are we sending this guy out on loan but keeping Van Ginkel who looked like he was struggling with some basic passes?!
  7. Chelsea youngster, Josh McEachran is could take some part in our game against Malaysia XI tomorrow after recovering from injury. The 20yo midfielder had missed the first preseason game on Wednesday after he tweaked his groin in tarining. But it seems he is on his back from injury after tweeting that his "Groin feels alot better! Back very soon :)". This comes among speculation that the England U21 international is set to leave the club on loan again. Josh had spent the whole of last season on loan at Middlesbrough and is expected to have a similar season this time around after the Sun's Rob Beasley tweeted, after a chat with Jose Mourinho, that Josh is going out on loan. The destination of the said loan is yet to be known. It will be interesting to see if the club can get young Josh a PL or if he would be heading back to the championship. In other Chelsea loan news. The club today announce that Sam Walker would be returning to Colchester on loan till Jan. The young keeper had spent the second part of last season there and had played an integral part in helping the Essex club avoid relegation from League One. Click here to view the article
  8. Going back to Colchester till Jan: http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3322333/title/walker-returns-to-colchester-on-loan He did well there last season and it seems the club is sticking to what worked.
  9. Good interview with official site: http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3322451 I love that last part
  10. Barca would actually be perfect for AVB's "philosophy". Doubt it would happen, though.
  11. LOL He meant Terry by 26. He said there is news about a defender as well and then tweeted "At least CLL is taking it like a man". CLL as in captain leader legend. On any account it is either BS or something completely unimportant.
  12. Apparently the news that Rob Beasley has been teasing about all day is related to Torres and JT. The "Torres" news is supposed to be bad for him because he tweeted "Poor Nando". Let me be the first to call whatever the news is BS before it is published.
  13. Oh. They still make it to the EL if they lost the CL qualifiers, right?
  14. Hope you don't mind I added that last sentence, mate.
  15. Wasn't he the one that reported that we've signed Falcao back in December and that Pelligrini will be our manager this season among other things?
  16. Rob Beasley may be a Chelsea fan, but he is an absolute cunt. I wouldn't a word he writes.
  17. No, my personal favorite is "Rooney is lazy". LMAO
  18. Did they lose any of their players from last season? Or was last season just a "one-off" from the group of players they have?
  19. Unless you're willing to pay his wages yourself, I can't see how that is possible
  20. last thing you want in preseason is an injury. Luckily we have a great medical team.
  21. But the point is, Chalobah can develop well anywhere, because his main assets can be valuable to any team. Josh on the other hand needs good players around him to be at his best. On any account, I think both will be going on loan as Jose only talked about Kevin, Romelu and Kala when talking about players returning from loan and joining the first team. I think it is best if Nathanial goes out on loan again. He still has a lot of room for improvement and he will be behind Mikel and Essien in the pecking order here.
  22. I'm going to make a thread in the General Chat and pin it so that we can discuss who does the match previews each week. PS: Not sure about your counting, though... EDIT: Here is the thread.
  23. Well then at least Napoli. I'd bet my house (I don't have one ) that Gonzalo won't end up here this summer.
  24. What's the motivation for him to lie? Like you said, it weakens our negotiating position for Rooney. If the truth is that we are in for other players then he really should have said that. Jose has been completely honest since arriving here. He said he'd only make 2-3 signings and he has. He talked about FFP and that we won't spend silly money and we haven't. I believe it's true because it makes a lot of sense and is in total coherence with everything Jose has been saying since arriving. Jose wants to play 4-2-3-1 with inverted wingers and a deep number 10 (so more of a 4-3-3, really). He practically said so since arriving. He's also said that he thinks our squad is ready, on many occasions and I fully agree with him. If we can get Rooney, it would be a good deal since he is great player who is very versatile; he can offer something different than what we have; give us an extra option. If not, then our current squad is enough for next season. It wasn't a surprise that Jose said on Wednseday that it's either Rooney or bust because he's been saying a lot of stuff along the same lines since arriving. We might sign a youngster and send him on loan like Bruma for example, but unless we come across a great transfer opportunity, I doubt we'll be trying to add anyone to our team bar Rooney.
