  1. I've always like Remy, but I'm not sure that he fits our system and style of play at all. He relies too much on his pace and movement and doesn't really have any hold up play.
  2. I know, mate. It was just a joke that I hope Ryan would see
  3. Problem is, till now, all the signs indicate that Jose sees Rami as a starter and a key player as well.
  4. He also said that Kalas would get 20 starts this season and that Thorgan might be with the first team next season...That's just stuff he says to please supporters, don't take it so seriously. Plus, even if he did mean that, he said it before the nightmare loan to Forrest and the average at best loan to Boro. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.
  5. I know, but since having Nathanial is a hypothetical situation, it really should influence the stance on signing Tiago.
  6. Unlike Frank, Tiago can play in a pivot. Plus, he's still performing at a higher level and more importantly doing so consistently, the think that Frank has struggled with most. As for Chalobah, let's not kid ourselves, he won't be a part of the squad next season regardless of whether or not Tiago or anyone else joins.
  7. No, I meant last season and in Jan. He made it clear he wants to stay. I'd imagine that has changed this summer.
  8. I think it was more that Shaw was always the one reluctant to leave.
  9. Merged with the existing Tiago thread. Surprising, but wouldn't be a bad deal on a free. He's experienced, has played at a very high level for very long, and showed this season that he can still be perform very well despite his age. Plus, he scored this goal...
  10. Exactly, Frank can move to a Galatasaray or a Zenith (he'll be reunited with his bro, AVB, there! ) and still play CL football. Or he can go to the states if he wants to make the big money. Why would he want to move to a relegation fighting team? I personally think that Italy would be perfect for him and he can play there 2-3 more seasons at a high level. That said, I'm almost certain he's staying.
  11. Our homegrown quota is suffering with Ash leaving and will suffer much more if Frank and Ryan leave too. So basically, any team that has an English player that we want can blackmail us for twice the price that the player would usually go for. There just aren't enough good English players around. I mean Shaw aside, what English player would be a useful addition to our team? Rooney and Sturridge? Barry and Milner if you want to stretch it a bit? Now, how many of those are realistic transfer targets? None. That's why the homegrown status adds 10-15m on the price.
  12. We don't NEED to sign every single player that scores against us!

  14. While I agree with you, I honestly can't see Conte giving up on 3-5-2, even if just in Europe. He's done wonders with Juve, but he isn't exactly known for being tactically pragmatic which is a large part of why the team has not done great in Europe or even in the Coppa Italia.
  15. Watched only the second half and England were awful, but Nathanial was certainly one of the better performers. His ball retention skills shone against a high-pressing Brazil side.
  16. Saved Enland's arse today. I mean who loses to Scotland?!
  17. My change report was terrible which isn't surprising seeing as I missed more games the last season than I have actually prepared for.
  18. No, I'll just go with conspiracy and corrupt UEFA. It makes me look less stupid
  19. How did they pass FFP? That's what I'd like to know!
  20. Can we please get back to talking about the player and not other members? Thanks.
  21. Well he's in the top 5 highest paid managers in the world so he has to be pretty good!
  22. Still, you're so good looking, we just have to include you in the list!
  23. Dude, you can't seriously compare Real's CL win to ours! They completely out-played every single opponent. Yes, they choked in the league but in the CL, they were by far the best team in the tournament and have thoroughly deserved it. Their defense which everyone called the weakest in the QFs didn't concede a single goal against Bayern in the semis and only conceded from an amateur mistake by Cassillas yesterday. In fact, I can't remember Athleti having a single chance yesterday. You have to give them credit and admit you were wrong about them.
