To be 100% honest, that injury probably was a blessing in disguise. Think there would have been quite a lot more interest in him this summer had he been fit, especially after the season he just had.

I would but I don't think Juve even know I exist... EDIT: Oh, you meant Sandro, not me! Never mind...
-
True but they can afford to spend. With their new stadium, dominating the league and always doing well in the CL, they're not short on revenue. Regarding Sandro, my view has been from the start that it has to do most with the player himself. Just like Bonucci, if the player genuinely wants to leave, Juve won't force him to stay.

From the money they got for Bonnuci?

LOL Of course the club will apologize if people got upset regardless of whether or not the intent was to cause offense. The aim of the entire visit to China was to get people to buy shirts! As for kenedy, if there was still any slim chance any more shots here, this has surly buried it.

Would be interesting to see if both Eden and Pedro miss the start of the season if Conte plays Boga/Musonda or if he plays Moses more forward and Azpi/New Wingback in his place...
-
Just read he's going to miss the rest of preseason with that concussion which means he's going to go into the season behind in fitness. All because of a stupid needless challenge by Ospina...
-
He REALLY wants that starting spot off Pedro, doesn't he?
-
*Phew* I was starting to think that we were going to go into the season withe Remy as our main striker Now to get some back up wingbacks and we'll be fully ready!

BREAKING NEWS: Known idiot is acting idiotically! ..."but he's still OUR cunt! "
-
That's much better. We can't go into the season with just 3 matches for preparation.
-
For some reason I just now realized that we are only playing 3 pre-season matches. What the hell are Conte and the board thinking? Have we learned nothing from the 15-16 season? We are most likely going to start the season physically behind most teams which probably means that we will have a slow start leading to panic all around.

Nathaniel Chalobah was never going to be a world class player. But he is young, homegrown, Chelsea through and through, and I would much rather have we had kept him and sold Matic. I understand his desire to leave, with my blue-tinted-glasses off, that is undoubtedly the right career move for him. But I'm furious our board and management did not do more to try to keep him here. It's a huge shame, but I wish him the best of luck.

Everything working nice and quick now. Brilliant work @Jim

I think, from the rumors from the Juve side of things, is that he wants to leave but he does not want to hand in a transfer request so that he does not piss off the Juve fans. So we seem to be stuck in that grey area at the time. But, as I've said previously, I think the key deciding factor, if this does drag on longer, is that Juve just can't match the wages he is being offered here. As for replacement, Juve have several options including recalling players they already own, so I don't imagine that being a breaking point.
-
I have an incredibly shit memory, so I might be imagining the whole thing, but didn't we loan him out to Milan? Anyway, if anything, Torres is an argument against the point that was being made in that he was given way too many chances because of his price tag even though he was painfully bad. I hope we've learned from that and would not repeat no matter the cost of the player.
-
ooooh! Look at you with the inside info, Barbs! RE Juve: They never force players who want to leave to stay. That is true historically. If he really wants to join, he will most likely be allowed to.

What heartless bastard moved this to ex blues??!
-
Can I just say, as someone who follows the Serie A weekly, some of what's been said about him is mental. I get that people will have very different opinions about players, but it's usually within a certain margin. You can't seriously say he's worse than Kurt Zouma! Now, I'm not saying he's Fabio bloody Cannavaro, but he is a German international. He's quite clearly a capable young defender. As for the comparisons with Manolas, they are very different players. Manolas is more of an aggressive traditional defender while Ruediger is more of a modern defender with great technique on the ball and a better football IQ.

I'm happy about this signing mainly for all the potential puns about his first name! Anyway.... I know a lot of people would be upset, but I'm perfectly happy with Willy coming in this early.... I'm going to log out now!

This is the first post that came up when I clicked this thread Very funny to watch it now, and also a good reminder that it probably very good that there are calmer heads in charge of the club than the average fan.

Getting pretty much destroyed by Deulofue (sp?). Keeps showing him inside for some reason! Because it's an U21 match? He's controlling the tempo for most of the match brilliantly. Did it even better against England. It's hard to find a player at his age with such flawless decision making on his passing. Reads the game very well as well.

Regardless of all the inside sources and 'reliable' journos, this transfer makes sense. We want him more than Juve don't want to lose him and Juve can't match us for wages. It would also make sense for Sandro to want to move to the EPL and join the Brazilian players in our squad. I think, logically, this is more likely to go through than not.
