  1. I would rather us look at other leagues and scout these types of players (I don't mean kids, but rather the 20-25 year olds who are established in their leagues). English players are simply not good enough. Not on the same level as Spanish, Germans, Italians etc. And they cost much more than European players because they are so over-rated.
  2. looking forward to it I'm just happy that we're in the draw
  3. Seriously? Joe Allen? He's a good player and I like him, but we really should not be aiming for these level of players. That's what Liverpool did and look how shit their team is. The only reason they're doing ok this season is because Dalglish manages to get them fired up for the big games and hence they've gotten positive results in most of them. These players may be alright as back-ups but we should aim for better imo
  4. Frank/JT co-management? Or will they turn on each other and try to get the other sacked? lol just kidding I've never seen JT as someone who could become a successful manager. Maybe he'd do well in the lower leagues/with a smaller club. Hope he proves me wrong though. Frank definitely has the intelligence, and he's great with the media side of it too. Always knows what he's saying, what impact it'll have, etc. He comes across as extremely diplomatic but he knows exactly what's going on. JT could be a disaster with this, lol. Not sure how tactically-aware he is?? I'm sure both will get their coaching badges once they retire.
  5. Usually when Torres attempts a dribble, it either bounces off him and rolls away or he runs into the defender and loses the ball. He attempted quite a few dribbles against Napoli and most of them were successful. It was a positive performance from him, but he has to keep this up.
  6. ^ thanks for that link about Sheva convincing Ivanovic to stay. I'd forgotten about that!
  7. Ah! Didn't think of that! But that's weird, right? lol maybe they're best friends or something. Anyway yeah Sheva was at the game. He also went to the after-party, I think. There are pictures of him in Ivanovic's car as they're driving off from the stadium.
  8. LOL. Fuck off Robbie Savage. One of the biggest cunts ever. Why are people even sending this brainless idiot questions???
  9. It's not his performances that I have a problem with, it's his attitude! He throws a fit every time he gets substituted. Doesn't argue with the manager, yeah, but his body language is horrible. Always slumps his shoulders, shakes his head and mumbles to himself, doesn't look the substitute in the eye and stomps off to his seat on the bench. Really poor attitude. Especially considering he has only been playing regular first-team football for a year now.
  10. Yeah he saved us a couple of times when Napoli were about to counter!
  11. It's probably unfair to include Ramires in those statistics. He is a machine, not a human!
  12. This picture seems to sum up Torres' Chelsea journey so far Kinda pleased for the team but at the same time very unhappy for himself
  13. Not to mention a RDM-out thread with 50 pages
  14. 61 guests viewing this thread right now, lmao.
  15. LOVE this. Would give rep but I've run out. Well done BL, some great insight. And superb post, The Big Drog! :cfc: :cfc:
  16. Don't know what to make of him. It's observable that he has lost a lot of passion for football. When other players are going crazy over penalty appeals, goals & celebrations after the game, he doesn't react in the same way. I'm sure he's pleased when the team achieves good results but he's terribly frustrated and unhappy at the general situation he's in. He's just not enjoying football at all. If you look at highlights from yesterday's match, pretty much every "joyous" moment that we had, he wasn't really that enthusiastic. He's not going to get that back until he starts scoring consistently.
  17. Lets just move on. No need for this AVB-bashing and calling him wanker/cunt/etc. He's gone.
  18. Completely forgot about this - Ivanovic had arguably his worst game in a Chelsea shirt in the 1st leg Made up for it yesterday by putting in a beast of a performance, winning the penalty to bring us to extra-time and then scoring the winner. Legend!!!
  19. Haha I can't stop watching the gif of that moment. Priceless
  20. Cech Bosingwa - Cahill - Ivanovic - Bertrand Mikel - Meireles Kalou - Mata - Malouda Torres Definitely need to rest JT, Drogba, Lampard & Essien. This team on paper is still capable of beating Leicester, but I'm worried they won't be bothered to turn up.
  21. APOEL/Benfica/Marseille would obviously be nice but I think it's more important that we get the 2ng leg at home!
  22. Bosingwa didn't make any mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's how good a night it was! :cfc:
