  1. Delighted luiz is playing. Suarez and Bellamy against jt and Alex wouldn't been suicide
  2. Very risky to just chuck drogba in after his injury and shit form this season
  3. Cech bran luiz jt Cole ramires mikel lamps drogba Mata malouda
  4. They can't know that for sure, though. I don't think the team hands in the sheet til an hour before kickoff Very interesting if that's really the case though
  5. Team news won't be out for an hour or so
  6. If he has a bad game today - which is very possible if he's up against Suarez - then everyone's going to be all "JT affected by racism claims" and all that crap which will bring even more pressure to AVB and the team
  7. How do the CPO shareholders that were opposing the vote feel about Battersea?
  8. I'm not saying "I'm only going to remember him for this and the Bridge scandal" Everyone appreciates what JT has done for the club and he is a legend but that doesn't mean that if he allegedly said what he's supposed to have said we should just forget about it and let him off scot free There's a difference between completely negating what he's done in the Blue shirt + only focusing on the shitty stuff, and respecting him as a leader, winner and the great player that he has been for us but still recognizing his personal flaws I understand the argument Liquidator made about him being in the "media spotlight 24/7" and I've often thought of this. but JT is a "celebrity". He is a role model and more importantly, the captain of his country. What he does and what you do is different. Not that it's any more wrong or right, but simply that it has more people are impacted on by his actions. This debate is only going on because it's still not known what is going to happen. Who knows how long it will take to get it all sorted - if there is a trial it could take months, right?
  9. Sorry, I edited my post. Didn't read yours properly before replying Not sure if it's true but it's on Paul Terry's wikipedia page (not the most reliable source, I know)
  10. Edit: yeah I remember reading about the suicide thing re: his brother Screwed up family lol
  11. Was just making a general comment, not just at you. And like I said, I too don't believe he's a racist. He's just a really really dumb person. He should know that being captain of his club and country, being a "role model", he needs to keep his emotions in check. Yes I know his emotion makes him the player that he is, but if he really did use the word "black" then it's really really stupid of him to do so and there is no excuse. Use the word cunt or wanker or whatever but when you bring in a person's race or sexuality or whatever of that nature, it's crossing the line. Even if it's just said without actually meaning it, it's still wrong and should be stamped out Still support him until there's been a decision made either way. and he will still be a legend in my eyes for what he's done on the pitch, which you've already described Do think BB has taken it a bit too far with the JT abuse
  12. Told myself I wouldn't judge him til it was proven, but some of our fans' blind faith in him is crazy. Like I said, he isn't a racist. But that doesn't mean it's ok to say what he's allegedly said
  13. I really thought that it was just a media witch hunt, which is still is, but with this latest rumour that he's going to get charged by the police... it's disappointing. He's let the club down again if true We know that JT isn't a racist, but he should not be saying this shit at all, let alone in a football match watched by millions.
  14. Stats are unreliable. Stats back up Kalou, Malouda, Bosingwa (which claimed he's a better defender than Ashley Cole) but would you honestly want them in your starting 11?
  15. Yes sorry I meant we should stick with him til the end of season, not end of the year I really hope he gets it going. He's never going to get back to his "best" the way he was in 08/09 but he still can be a reliable 20 goals a season player That red card against Swansea really screwed everything up. He definitely would have gotten a few more goals against Everton and Bolton
  16. But we are going to get rid of them.. I'm 100% sure none of those will still be a Chelsea player come 1st September 2012 I get your point but if he doesn't come into consistent form by the end of the year then he has to go. If he isn't scoring he's kind of useless because he doesn't have the workrate that other players e.g. Rooney have, so that even if they aren't scoring goals they can still contribute their fair share. Yeah Torres gets a few assists here and there but it isn't enough. Anzhi or PSG will probably be willing to pay 25m for him
  17. Yeh his performance there was really good and scored an excellent goal too. This one will be different though because you know the LFC fans are going to scream all sorts of things at him and last season he just seemed to collapse under it but now he has to show that he's moving on with that crap
  18. Agree last couple of games he was poor. This match against the dippers will be a big test. I'm really interested to see how he performs. If he wants to get back to anything close to his best then he has to start with it. It's no point scoring against Swansea and genk. If he plays well this Sunday, even if he doesn't score, then I'll be much more optimistic because it'll show he's left all the crap in the past and it doesn't affect him anymore.
  19. Mr. Sexwale can fuck right off. He is innocent until proven guilty. If he's found guilty, then by all means, sack him as captain. But shut the fuck up until there's any proof.
  20. If he is charged then he shouldn't play for us until the trial is over. It will bring too much negative attention to our team and it will affect the players. Perhaps just give him a leave of absence.
  21. I agree, his performance against us was due to our awful defending, not wonderful play by him. He's a headless chicken most of the time. We made him look world-class
  22. And LFC fans still use the "things were on the way up for us" argument, saying that Queen Kenny's appointment had uplifted the club and why did he still decide to leave?! Well then this proves that he had been fed up for quite some time. Can you imagine being the world's best striker at one point and then having to play in the Europa league against awful opposition while all the best players (and best mates) have already left the club, watch your one-man team again have to fight for a Europa league spot in the league when Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are just so far ahead of you. How frustrated must you be, watching all your Spanish team mates win trophy after trophy and you've won jack squat when it comes to club honours And you're absolutely right dodojojo, his real loyalties lie with Atletico, not Liverpool FC. But of course, how can anyone expect those deluded cunts to realize this.
  23. The way Liverpool reacted to the whole thing was pathetic. They made it seem as if it was a last minute betrayal and they weren't given any time, whatever. It's a FACT that Torres was disillusioned with the club during all that Hicks and Gillette nonsense. He was promised many things by them and they didn't deliver. They let their best players in Alonso, Arbeloa, etc go. He probably wanted out at the beginning of the 10/11 season but decided to give it some time. Then he was managed by Roy Hodgson... I mean come on! The boardroom saga went on for soooo long. He was suffering injury after injury. And you know what? One of the few decent games he had in 10/11 was against us at Anfield. I've got this feeling that that performance by him, was a message to Roman to buy him and that he's still "got it". Why the transfer was so last minute: Liverpool were trying to sign Suarez for 20odd million and if Ajax had known that they were sitting on 40 or so mil (which would have been the original transfer price if Newcastle hadn't demanded 35m for that lump of shit), they would have asked for much more. Queen Kenny also must have blocked the transfer til the very last minute, as he wanted the LFC supporters to turn on Torres so as to justify the transfer. "He bottled it, he betrayed us" yada yada Y'know what? FUCK THEM. I've never hated anything as much as I hate Liverpool Football Club. I want them to burn and I hope it begins on Sunday with a Torres hattrick.
  24. And he hasn't even done anything. Rooney, Torres etc at least they've won loads!
  25. Good to hear. Are there any highlights?
