First off, much respect to what Juve did last season and i am in no way undermining their achievement, but we all know Europe is another ball game, just take a look at City last season....And why do everyone keep saying their midfield is only second to Barcelona?, what do you base this on?, they havent played a game in Europe in forever and we dont know how that midfield that was a beast in Italy would fair in Europe, AC Milan had a great run the season before last in the Serie A, but they couldnt replicate it in the CL...I think it is disrespectful to Bayern and Madrid's midfield to say Juve's , mid are second best in EUROPE, Madrid battled and won Barca a couple of times last season and Alonso and Khedira were brilliant, and the Bayern midfield stood firm against Madrid in the CL semi-final, well that is what i am basing my opinion on... I am in no way stating that Juve's midfield cant rival them, but until they prove it outside Italy, it would be only right if we compare them to Italian teams...I am pretty sure Obi and Ramires (i hope he is dropped back to is natural position in a 4-3-3), would give them a run for their money, Obi and Ramires(from RW) gave the Barca midfield a run for their money and we have evidence to prove that.... How long has Bamford been with academy again?...Definitely not longer than Lukaku, and anybody that watch Romelu with the reserves could clearly see he was above that level, didn't he score like 5 in 3games one time? From the games I saw he was pretty good for the reserves, I haven't seen much of Bamford who just came in January... I am not trying to over hype Piazon or nothing, but him, Nathaniel and Feruz were stunning in the FA Youth Cup race, he plays well for the reserves also, and played well and scored in preseason for the first team, playing less than in CF as ladyboy...I think he gradually proved himself to managers through the ranks in a short time and should be given a shot if the opportunity arises...I believe the Kaka resemblance leads to people giving him unfair criticisms, because they expect the see a performance from an 18yr old resembling that of a former Ballon D or in his prime...Was there any player in the entire Youth Cup that was better than this kid?... He definitely need to play the Next Gen Series and the U18 and U21 league, but I don't think he is a going on loan anytime soon...If I recall correctly, he said chelsea doesn't plan on loaning him out, in an interview.. Sorry if I am derailing the thread further...But I gotta say, Hutcho_Cfc is in no way a bully, a Torres fanboy maybe;), and he never backs down from an argument...I have had several with him about a new striker and Torres and in no way did I ever felt bullied... Back on Eden, well everyone has their opinion on him, and he is yet to either confirm or disprove any so I am open and waiting.... To those saying he might be the next Messi or better, take a chill pill...And those also saying he wouldn't, remember when imagining a better footballer than Rolandinho was impossible?...There is always gonna be someone better, and I am open to the possibility that we might have gotten him or maybe another SWP...haha
