  1. "Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has made 19-year-old Brazilian striker Neymar his number one transfer target." Just Sayin With AVB at the helm the players we are targeting, bar Pereira (who I can't judge because I haven't seen enough times) seem to be bang on the money. I may be mad for some, but AVB needs to collate the new squad he was effectively promised. Change requires time and money to be manifested. With the players he's promoted i.e. Sturridge and signed in : Davilla, Courtois and those whom are subsequently playing (Romeu, Mata) we're only at the birth stage. Fundamentally, to prove we have learned from our mistakes we must give AVB time.
  2. Yeh no doubt lol, I just noticed this article on BBC gossip: Liverpool eye Ozil - LOL! Guarantee there will be some comments on Ozil videos saying Welcome to Liverpool or something on those lines.
  3. Vandamme (Lille's academy director) said "Chelsea has been following him the closest." Pinenaar was a fail for sure, and Benayoun too but by going after the likes of Neymar, Hazard, Vargas it seems we are learning from our mistakes.
  4. Good points but here's my take on some of these aspects: Good point in hindsight but when Scolari came we were meant to be the new brazil. Remember that Chris Cohen song on Scolari ROFL. Cech today isn't really as potent as Cudicini was back when we signed him in 2004. Courtios is by no means a signing borne out of a yearning to replicate our cycle under Mourinho but one that is integral to healthy competition for the GK spot. Cech has made some costly mistakes this season for sure. Transfer targets? Vargas, Hazard, a potential raid to both La Masia and Madrid youth academies. And his signings give me no reason to doubt them. Meireles I'd admit I was skeptical, and perhaps we could've avoided it but it hasn't turned out too bad I guess. Undoubtedly we should've had a more thought out plan for alternatives if we failed though. Their are some times when our pursuit for some players go dry. i.e. Silva, Aguero. And hey I remember when I thought Hazard was more of a dream but wouldn't you know it we're apparently the "closest club".Granted some perplexing names have appeared at times but a lot of them aren't too be taken Seriously. And like RZA said, spending 40 mill on a player isn't a problem if we think it out.
  5. Agree with the second part. As for beings far worse than Scousers I agree with this: Scousers genuinely see themselves in for all the biggest talents in the world, Neymar, Hazard etc. There a ton of videos on Youtube regarding young talents which say 'Welcome to Liverpool' as the top comments. I also remember seeing this one video made by some typical fat scouser talking about how Liverpool will get Mata or some BS like that That in itself makes them very laughable.
  6. A) High-line was redundant today. B )This was the same selection that beat City - who would've forseen us play so poor! C) His subs: - Kalou for Romeu - After our lethargic performance in the first half we needed an attacking player. I know we probably all cringed at his app, but it exemplifies our need for a dynamic player like Hazard, Vargas or Pato. At this point a defensive player was rendered useless as a result of how Martinez set up his men. - Mikel for Mata - In looking too attack Wigan and their 5 man defense we probably didn't lookout for us scoring rather paradoxically. Logic dictated the sub but for Mata? I was thinking Meireles. In this sense Martinez 5 man defense was a shrude move. - Malouda for Sturridge - This left me perplexed. Drogba should've been coming off for Torres. Malouda should never of been introduced. All in all Wigan were 18th and we were 3rd. We can always find a way to see the game as a "banana-skin" but we should've won. We played poor and a draw was frustratingly enough, fair
  7. With Sturridge and Mata off what chance do we have in finding the creative spark needed to score. *Sighs*
  8. Sturridge! Still this game exemplifys the need of more dynamic players like Hazard, Vargas or Pato.
  9. AVB only Manager in EPL to use all 3 subs in every game? Interesting.
  10. Hoping this is a champions-like game. Play way below standard, still get the win.
  11. Really? I don't think so. It would have hit Brano in the body anyway. I thought he tried to get them out of the way - nothing he could have done and their was no intent because it wasn't advantageous imo.
  12. These commentators Determination is apparently what's lacking from Torres's game.
  13. He is special. We can exploit the situation with Tevez and even his injury problems. Anyhow he's not going to come cheap, Milan fans absolutely love him they all call him their "Messi" - nevertheless a versatile striker like him will never come cheap. We already missed Aguero, Neymar, Silva etc. and I don't want us to make the same mistake with Pato. Waiting may be wise for some, but if we wait too long we'll have to face competition from the likes of Barca and Madrid inevitably.
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8784205.stm Live football focus. Taking of young managers - Villas Boas etc.
  15. Pretty much what most people are saying its between Mata, Sturridge &Ramires - really hard to pick one - they've all contributed really well. Romeu would be my honorable mention - If he had played more games than he would certainly be in the mix IMO.
  16. Balotelli v Richards in Pictures: ROFL at Mancini when spotting the cameras
  17. Wait guys now that the mickey mouse draws are out of the way its time for Europa: Anyway: Ajax vs United Porto vs Citeh Citeh and united could even go out of Europa
  18. Honestly I was fearing this tie, but actually confronting it I still think we should come out on top (The home advantage being key). And with the right re-enforcements in January we can only get stronger. Slightly off topic but I couldn't help but laugh: Pastore: I want to play for a bigger team http://www.goal.com/en/news/90/france/2011/12/16/2805121/paris-saint-germains-javier-pastore-says-he-wants-to-play To late bro
  19. Let's sign Cavani, Lavezzi, Hamsik & Inler in January so they can't face us
  20. I think the key for us here is that we have home advantage.
