How so? He fits into AVB's philosophy. Maybe both concur that he'd be a great signing, but I don't see AVB acquiescing to Roman taking control of our signings. After-all he was given the "manager" role unlike all who Roman previously employed (or something like that) and I have no reason to believe that AVB isn't targeting him. With Anelka's departure looking imminent and both Kalou & Drogba in doubt it's a void any competent manager would look to fill.

All good points but he's a "gamble" worth taking. By 2013 he could fully fit playing every game. He's always maintained a love for Milan and with his ability clubs like Madrid and Barca will undoubtedly be after him. Right now we still have a chance with our Brazilian contingent, AVB at the head and the Tevez situation. I'm not saying it'd be impossible but it would certainly strenuate the possibility. We took a gamble with Torres and it isn't paying off, but the difference is he was in terrible form. Pato is still 22 and, whenever I watch Milan, puts in a great shift. We're already paying(kind of) for 1 gamble in Torres, that sortve extended with Aguero as it affected our chances of signing him. But, in Pato the risks are different with ones that could reap immense benefits if it pays off.

I do agree his injuries are a bit of problem but in terms of ability he's got bags of it. The injuries isn't enough of a deterrent for me, we just need to keep him fit and we have a gem. Maybe our doctors could do something that Milan don't ( I know their renowned for their remarkable fitness) look at Torres - may not be firing goals in but in terms of fitness we really sorted him out. I just hope he overcomes his injury woes because without them he could be a world-beater.

Get in. Best news I've heard all day. Pato is a beast I think he should be our top target for a striker. Its a good opportunity with Tevez vying Milan. Like I've said many times before I really think he avails the ability to thrive in the league. He can beat players like Aguero and is unbelievably quick. He'll definitely catalyse the AVB process - he'd be like the Hulk of Chelsea which we are lacking.

You watching the game mate? Madrid should be winning this no doubt.

Sanchez goal. Great run Messi, Madrid will rue some missed chances.

Trolling Trolling is trying to get a rise out of someone. Forcing them to respond to you, either through wise-crackery, posting incorrect information, asking blatantly stupid questions, or other foolishness. However, trolling statements are never true or are ever meant to be construed as such. Nearly all trolled statements are meant to be funny to some people, so it does have some social/entertainment value. = trollface In this case, I thought that your Hernandez remark was a joke because it was so outlandish IMO.

You trolling mate? lol On topic though I really think Pato should be priority .Like I said already Pato's ability to beat a player - like Kun or even Suarez - is an asset that would aid any team. His speed is something else too - IMO he'd easily give Ronaldo a good run. I won't be forgetting his goal against Barca any time soon (Here it is for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about)

What is it with City fans and their premature tattoos. Absolute retards.

Bang on. Ability being the operative word. Cavani is definitely a natural born striker, but I'd rather spend that money on a versatile striker like Pato or Hulk. A striker who can beat players. Aguero what a miss he was, what rubs salt in the wounds is how hot our pursuit was for many years. He consistently talked big of us and he somehow ended up at City. Amid Torres capture it was rumored we still pertained interest.
-
I don't think we need a striker like Dzeko - yes we need someone who can naturally score goals but if want reach our peek we need an RVP or Aguero (reallys angers me even to this day, we should have got him). A player who beats defenders. I think Pato is a brilliant option (Injuries are his only negative). The strikers out of the league I always admired and enjoyed to watch before this season were Aguero and Pato. Pato, dare I say, is Ronaldo-esque (el fenomeno) and would IMO be an instant hit. With Tevez hot on Milans radar it is an ideal time to strike. It's not that I don't want Dzeko but it's just that I'd prefer Pato - he could add another dimension to our game. Leandro Damiao's an ideal target too, but is perhaps too young to jump into first team action (Even though I think he has all the attributes to do so) - if we do go for him another striker should accompany him - Pato ideally, and Hulk is a good option too. AVB knows Hulk aswell but I don't see Porto offering us his services at a fair price.

Really? Valencia lost to Real Madrid 3-2 the other day, and draw 2-2 too Barca. On our day, if we can bring our A game we are a match for any team. I personally felt the game against Valencia was one of our finest performances in a long, long time. If we add a few names in January like Hazard or Modric who knows how good we can be.

Just join Lukaku already!! :541:

720 minutes since Rooney's last goal. 620 minutes since Suarez's last goal. 455 minutes since Torres' last goal. Just a stat I thought many would like to know of.

The last time United got knocked out in the group stage was on Wednesday 7th December. That year a London club made it to the final. Omen?

I agree. Hernandez does absolutely nothing for large parts of games and than scores one goal, and is given like 9/10. If Kalou does the same thing he'll get like 5.5/10 max. -
haha the only time I'll enjoy a Dailyfail headline: Manchester crisis! City and United get ready for Thursday nights on Channel 5

Yesterday showed why Drogba is by far the most dangerous striker in the world on his day. His strength and touch is just such a unique combination. I stood by it when Torres was at Liverpool, and it hasn't changed today. When both are at their best Drogba wins- Torres has the speed but what Drogba can to a defense instills a greater fear IMO. This isn't hating on Torres, because we all know hes immense on his day, but just showing used convey an opinion.
