Benayoun is only part of the answer IMO.... when he's fit and playing he's good to be in the first 11, but staying fit throughout the season isn't something I've associated with him... We need an extra attacking mid. Period.

True...and if I remember correctly he also said making the combination of Torres and Drogba work is a headache best saved for later.. His current objective is to get the entire team ticking...once he does that, then he'll worry about keeping his strikers happy....

This is the real challenge now that Essien is out. When he was there, he used to perform the B2B+DM roles single-handedly, thereby leaving room for an extra attacking CM in our 4-3-3. Now that Mikel is the only available person in DM, the decision to be made is to whether to play Ramires (a box-to-box) or an attacking CM

OFF-TOPIC: Its ok except for Rambo in holding position....I don't think he'll cut it as the sole holding mid... The question is do we actually need another box-to-box mid...Previously the Mikel( DM) and Ramires (b2b) roles were taken on in a on-man show by Essien..This gave room to incorporate an extra attacking mid in 4-3-3.. Now since we won't be having that kind of luxury for a while, I think we should forget about that kind of role and concentrate on just going for the creative mid. Hopefully this new mid will also be a b2b (highly unlikely). If he isn't, we just use Ramires as and when the situation calls for it...

Agree with that the fact our 4-3-3 needs only one holding mid at a time, and other two need to be attacking...Don't agree with you current choice of players though...
