I don't like criticizing other teams much, but honestly just compare how AVB has dealt with this transfer, and Mancini claiming to sign Nasri within the next 48 hrs...

Look, we've seen Hilario in a lot of games and if its one thing he does have it IS confidence. Sometimes too much of it. Last match we nearly had a hilarious moment when he came charging off his box all the way to the half-line to pick up a ball that Ramires was going after. If that had gone wrong I'm sure he wouldn't be getting so many votes today. I don't mean to undermine him, but yesterday's performance was what you would expect from him. Nothing spectacular.. But I guess that's more than what a lot of people here were hoping for anyway in Cech's absence,

I'll admit he pulled off one or two good saves to keep it at one-nil,but it wasn't like he was bombarded by shots throughout the game...He was fairly standard and good enough for a stand-in goalkeeper.. Anelka was brilliant in my opinion...In the second half he was the best part of our front three, showing flashes of his (now mostly forgotten) incredible pace...

Totally agree...I remember one instance when Kalou was dribbling in front of the d box, he could've threaded a pass to Fernando, and instead proceeded to take a shot...I could even see Torres cursing in the background.. Am a massive Didier fan but felt he came in at the wrong time,and shouldn't have been in for Torres...Might be a nice idea to play Didier as a sub-winger in 4-3-3 rather than change the system to 4-4-2 and confuse the rest of the team when both play together..Josh/Yossi should've come in at some point.... He got the win though, so I can't complain any more....

AVB no doubt played his part in turning this game around,but I still can't figure out why neither Josh/Yossi are getting any playing time.... When the emphasis is on more vertical passes, why aren't these two guys more involved?

Normally when one of our forwards make a run, there's hardly any support from the other two... If Mata can provide that support, then yes it will make a BIG difference

I hope AVB isn't facing the same selection dilemma like Carlo...You can tell Torres didn't look too happy when subbed.. The press is sure gonna ask bout Kalou and Alex Alex wasn't even fit... and I think AVB himself realized starting with Kalou was a mistake... Just glad about the result...it could've been a lot worse...

Its not Torres fault...AVB play Drogba please...this team doesn't have a clue without him... Also play McEachran/Benayoun...I don't care who AVB removes from our midfield trio to include them

Stop moaning about Kalou already... He's obviously being used as a stand-in for Sturridge.... Moaning about Kalou now will be like moaning about Hilario/Turnbull when they stand between the sticks for the next few weeks...There's nothing you or AVB can do about it

Hilario seems to be playing with purpose after the contract extension, so we can take comfort in that... But now there's no question... We have simply got to start scoring in 2's or 3's if not fours sixes or sevens....Even with poor support from mid, we have enough strike-power in the squad to accomplish this...

Its ok to have a pragmatic approach but do you really think anything we expect or post here is actually going to influence the outcome of the match? We put 6 past them last season, and also beat them away when Roy was in charge. Plus it was with the same squad. So whether I'm smoking something or not I'll still keep my hopes up for a rout.
