But you'd have to admit that was it a pretty good goal he scored for them...

Just so you stop mentioning that in every post you make, I'll have you know that I do watch games, and almost all of them for the whole 90 mins + injury time. Now, in our most recent games the play has become more fluid and there is a lot more thinking involved in the build-up play. In the earlier games (I take it you have seen them), especially during the last days of the Carlo's management, there was a lack of imagination in the build-up, and most of the time the play ends with a random cross into the box, especially before we scored the first goal in the match. And whenever the ball moved to the right side, Bosingwa would be the one to whip it in, to usually no avail. Whether there's a better RB out there...I'm not saying that's false, but you're quick to criticize the one we do have and that too for the wrong reasons (In my opinion).. As for insults, there's nothing personal regarding anything I've posted..If you get upset by words thrown around on an internet forum then its your problem...

Ahem...don't most wingers (at least the good ones) fit that description? Maybe you want Jose to play as a good CB as well..If that's the case I apologize...I didn't know you had no idea what you were talking about About his crosses... You want to know why his crosses look so bad? Because he puts in so many and he lacks the consistency (which is why he's a wing back and not a wing forward) And why does he put in so many crosses? Because there's no one else on the right to do so on a regular basis. Tell me the name of one good right-footed winger, apart from Drogba or Anelka (who don't exactly fit the description) on our team.

Mata? Behind the two strikers? Don't want Sturridge to lose his position though...
-
Since his first priority is being a defender, I'd say he did do good against a major opponent when he prevented a certain Ashley Young from making a "big (positive) impact". I can't believe you're talking about horrific final products when his lone goal and assist have helped us seal two games this season for a win. I'm not asking for Bosingwa to painted in gold, but most of the criticism on this thread is unwarranted...season's only begun...

Lamps time maybe drawing near, but its ridiculous to doubt his commitment to the team and its cause... Quote: " It was the first time in eight years that Lampard found himself fit but not selected for a Premier League game as Chelsea brushed aside Swansea. Reports Lampard stormed away early after failing to come off the bench were wide of the mark. He spent more than half an hour after the game warming down on the pitch and came back drenched in sweat. Most of his team-mates were already showered and heading for home. " Rest of the article

Liverpool next up in the League Cup!

For a plus point, Torres will be available for this, seeing as he wont be involved in anything else for the coming weeks... -
For a B-team that was a man down and still creating opportunities at the other end? I don't think disappointing describes it accurately...
-
I think his defensive abilities are a bit under-rated.... IMO, he's probably one of maybe two people in the team who, if he puts his mind to it, can go one on one with any winger and actually stop him...whether it be a Messi or Ashley Young for that matter...
-
Yeah..already thoughts are on a Drogba-Torres front two, with Mata behind... But for now, I'll just take a result like this whereat least one of them,if not both, is on the scoresheet

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

I think was clear from the first couple of match conferences this season that AVB doesn't give a shit about the press or their opinion...so I don't see why we should care about their opinion on him... Journalism has become disappointing of late. They're supposed to observe and report. Now they have their own opinions on everything and twist the minds of simpletons to see what they want to see...Bunch of c**nts.. -
Just goes to show that when the situation (being down to ten men) called for it, he turned it up a notch. If he can show that kind of defensive performance on a regular basis, he's certain to start every match

I think it includes PL fixtures as well

Finally got to see Lukaku in action for the whole 90 and another 30 minutes as well. Decent performance, with great commitment. However, what he does need to work is his technique (crossing mainly) and his jumping. For such a tall guy, its a wonder that he couldn't get his head onto some of the good crosses played into the area; In short, he needs to work on his fitness. (Remember the cramps as well?) But what amazed me today was his speed. He could indeed become a deadly weapon if honed properly. But to work in this Chelsea team he'll need to become a better all-round player, and a more complete center forward.

Lol...now we know for sure we're not like Arsenal... Their B-team would've crumbled with the OTHER side reduced to ten men!

WE ARE GOING TO WIN THE CARLING CUP!! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT....THE SIGNS ARE ALL THERE!!!

LOL@ Kalou doing a Kalou

I hate to say this but: but its true ... PVA+Bertrand = Fully fit, young Ashley Cole Mikel+Ramires = Fully fit, young Michael Essien.. PVA has to improve in his defending, while Bertrand..he's ok, but doesn't have the pace of Ashley Cole or Bosingwa
-
LOL @ Sturridge doing a Nani... Hope he's fine though..didn't look bad on tv..must have been a precaution to sub him

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Yeah..couldn't he get some kind of stupid ban from the FA if those comments go public? -
Really? Thought he played ok when hugging the touchline against Bayern. Judging from Malouda's reaction after the game, it seemed as he was happy (from a sense of justice) that even Lampard and Terry would also lose their places to squad rotation. I think he always carried a slight grudge against certain players, Lampard especially, for retaining their starting 11 spot game after game even if the performance didn't really warrant it. Now he probably feels the coach is unbiased and rotates as when he feels like, so there is a chance we could see a decent, if not spectacular showing from Flo this season

We aren't making the most of our chances..that's a trend that we've picked up since last season actually...
