  1. Probably true, but it might cost us a few results in the process... Still, won't forget his contributions even if he leaves. Great player to watch on his day.
  2. Bbbut....Shonex is one of the nicest members on here .... You can give the +1 like now, Shonex
  3. Against Barca, our backs are against the wall from the start..anyways, we'll see the match in a few days
  4. What about Valencia, Napoli? Those were his ( and co-incidentally our), best games this season. Plus he's our top-scorer in the champions league this season. Its in the EPL, that he seems to be disinterested.
  5. Drogba not turning up is a lot less worse than Torres not turning up. Its the champions league semi-final...don't think Drogba will snooze through this one if he's selected.
  6. Yes, it will be very difficult.( Although in our recent history with them we have picked up draws, mostly score draws, against them at Nou Camp, albeit with a stronger team). I guess we can only hope luck plays a part in either one of these 3 fixtures.
  7. But once the semi-final on Sunday is over, we won't have to worry about the FA cup at least until May. Its only the first leg of the CL semi-final and this one that really stretches our squad options to its limits. I suspect DIMatteo might go for an attacking (relatively, since none of his formations are really that offensive) line-up on Sunday, and a defensive one on Wednesday to prevent Barca from claiming an away goal.
  8. Even the media's taken notice http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4250925/Chelsea-have-added-a-touch-of-gold-to-their-traditional-blue-kit-for-next-season.html

  10. Don't agree with that part, yet, but with the rest of your post, yes.
  11. Valid points. I can't understand why he persists with Ramires out wide. Ramires as a winger is far worse than Sturridge and even worse than Kalou or Malouda. 4-2-3-1 is understandably meant to shore up our defense, but its a rather a dull counter-attacking formation when it comes to creating chances. Wish he would mix things up a bit more during matches. Also IMO, I think he's making a mistake if he believes Torres is ready to claim a starting 11 role in all of our big games. His form is still patchy, and a couple of bad games might be enough to undo all the good work done so far over the past couple of weeks.
  12. I don't know about any priorities but he's definitely a cause for worry. He plays very well against generally weaker opposition and creates an impression that he's back in form, and falters a couple of games later. I just hope he doesn't last here longer than he needs to.
  13. And guess what? Even the linesman gets the boot! Why? Because the decision was in favour of Chelsea and not the other way around.
  14. Ramires should never part of a front 3. Ever.
  15. Better to watch than Torres-Kalou these days even if there's rarely an end product....
  16. True, but hasn't this been a trend this season? In the old days, weaker teams would give up nearly all hope once the bigger side takes the lead...Nowadays they keep fighting as long as they're still in the game forcing the bigger sides to make mistakes. Having said that, our inability to hold onto a 1 goal lead for more than 45 mins is embarrassing.
  17. I see what you mean...you could try asking one of the mods to put up for you later...
  18. Hardly a surprise after the duration of his previous slump.....he's obviously going to blow hot and cold from now on, unless the team itself undergoes a dramatic upheaval in form.
  19. These should be posted in the first page of the post match threads....
  20. Ramires should never be played on the wing...and Kalou should have been subbed in the 2nd half.
  21. Just hope Ramires is never played on the wing again, nor Kalou playing the whole 90 mins... Still a useful result though.
  22. Of course there are similarities, I'm just saying we deal with opposition team visitors in a more friendly manner on this forum. They aren't looked down upon.
