  2. Yeah that has happened quite a few times this season, and I can't really understand why RDM/Benitez haven't rectified it. Granted its Torres that's receiving and he'll most likely squander the chance, but its better than nothing. Like you said, its probably the case of players not trusting him but these guys are supposed to be professionals.
  3. Would agree with those, but I think its likely to be Ramires for Marin
  4. When Demba scores a hat-trick the game goes BA-BA-BA-BOOM!
  5. Yes his form has been quite poor in the last few games. But I don't see how that warrants a place in the transfer list for summer.
  6. Nevertheless, why should it matter if Ba scored a penalty to get a hat-trick? Hat-tricks are just for headlines...a lot of strikers score hat-tricks only to go into a slump a few matches later. I don't need to give examples for that...
  7. Yeah the media twists stuff, and there are some people who even believe in the crap they put out. That's why there are still quite a few who think Chelsea LET Drogba leave, when it was the player himself who opted out of a contract renewal.
  8. Honestly, don't know the answer to that one. We can only wait and find out. I believe Mourinho did state that he wanted him to stay,..its just that he would not guarantee regular playing time.
  9. I would say that the heartbeat is JT himself, but its all a matter of opinion I suppose.
  10. True, but there's also a difference. Raul wanted to leave, as he didn't want to become a mere squad player.
  11. Doubt it. The shot had so much power behind it...similar to a Lampard penalty.
  12. I only caught the last 5 mins of this game, and was disappointed to see the lack of effort to even equalize. It reminded me of the CWC final where our primadonnas seemed to underestimate their opponents. Were they that terrible the whole match? And its not the result (we could have lost at Everton away, easily) but the fact it was against THAT team, in OUR backyard that leaves a terrible taste. Hopefully we'll sign someone in the 26-29 age group for our midfield, to do that. Someone like Schweinsteiger or Vidal. And a manager who can build a team, would also help.
  13. Will be voting for one of Sheva, Muzchap or HutchoCFC. I just like how they keep their discussions civil, and also how they're open minded to others views.
  14. Disagree... Ramires was no Moses, but he held Baines in check and drove the team forward on several occassions. He was also the only player to not lose his head in the first 30 mins, and fittingly grabbed the assist for Lampard's goal.
  15. Yeah, that aspect is rather annoying. Today was a prime example. Played through by Oscar in the 90th min, when he could have sealed the game..but took 2 extra touches, allowing himself to be tackled by Dystan.
  16. I agree...Drogba's my favorite Chelsea player, but even he would agree that during the period between Mourinho and Ancellotti's tenure his form and more importantly, attitude were way below the mark. And yes, Torres' inconsistent form in front of goal has probably cost us a few crucial games this season, but the goal stats are there to back him up. A lot of people make him out to be the biggest problem in team atm, but they couldn't be farther from the truth.
  17. That's true.., if you want to take bring in another striker and put him on the wing you might as well bring back Kalou..at least he won't grumble (not as much anyways)
  18. Don't agree.., if his finishing was better he could have competed for the golden boot this season.
  19. Solid most of the time yes..but will be very glad when JT gets back. I don't think Ivanovic can always cover for Cahill's mistakes.
  20. The only point I agree with is that our midfielders sometimes fail to spot some of his runs. But, you cannot convince me that he still has the same pace. He has to struggle a lot more these days to get past defenders.
  21. Its impossible to find fault with him in matches like this...He made quite a few runs, but the midfield players weren't able to spot them quickly enough.
  22. His positioning is still off, especially when he has to be the more attacking member of the pivot. He sometimes wanders up the pitch to positions he shouldn't be in..like the wing for example. When he slips into the more defensive role, its not that bad.
  23. If he becomes anywhere near that good, we should keep him. Adebayor's shortcomings have more to do with his attitude than his lack of ability. On his day he can be deadly.
  24. I would love to have a new striker in Jan, but its unlikely Napoli will accept an offer midway through the season. I doubt Athletico will either... considering their position in the Liga BBVA table.
