  1. A bit too much to ask from a striker don't you think? Its not as if never tracked back...And when midfielders like Mata and Hazard fail to do the same on occasion, its a bit hypocritical to single out Sturridge.. I've said it myself a couple of pages back, he's gone and there's no point in moaning about his departure. But there's no need to bury the guy when he did more good for us than harm.
  2. Its not a surprise. Those "comments" were unprofessional, and not what you would associate with someone like Klopp.
  3. They're probably desperate to get him back in the national team..
  4. Lampard has had quite a few games this season where he's gone invisible, but today was far from one of those. Granted, a few of his passes didn't meet their target, but he tried as much as possible to keep the pressure on that Swansea defense.
  5. Not too mention, he was pretty good before that knee injury. I don't think we had too many defenders that could go up against the likes of Messi and the likes,..definitely not the WORST RB.
  6. Hmmm.... a "blue" smurf with a "red" cap?..Fitting I guess...
  7. Because only we know what it means to have a "complete" forward. Everyone else will be satisfied with a Chicharito.
  8. Apparently he had the chance of becoming an American player...but I don't think they saw his potential! Lol..I guess some of the American members here can elaborate.
  9. Tbf..when they talk about the best in history, people are referring to Pep's Barca...the current one, with players like Alba, is a couple of notches below that one... All good teams eventually decline.
  10. Probably,.it would be natural for him link-up much better with Luiz and Ramires, but he does link up equally well with Hazard (for example their one-two's) and Mata on occasion. Its cliche', but it goes to show that the language of football is more powerful than anything else on the pitch.
  11. Hopefully its just a loan deal like it was speculated
  12. He was clearly resting him for the Europa game midweek. Wrong priorities again....
  13. Other than providing the assist for the equalizer, being generally unplayable, and hitting a shot that rebounded off the crossbar? .... Anyway, there's no point in crying over spilt milk. He's gone and he will play against us again in the future. I'm just happy he had the decency to not celebrate his goal against us.
  14. True, this season's kit will go down as a classic. The new kit is a lot like the 10-11 kit, but without the red on the collar. Still, it looks good and I like how similar it is to Steve's blue Bayern design. As for the G/K kit, I hope Cech just wears the full-sleeve version like he usually does.
  15. Yes its odd when you don't see it happening, when Torres makes a good run. Apart from Luiz, and Lampard/Mata on occasion, no-one seems to notice the runs he makes. The worst thing is his head begins to drop when this happens, and he becomes invisible for the rest of the match.
  16. Honestly, I felt it was one of those games where the goals didn't have much to do with the general level of performance. After the 2 goal lead from the first half, the team slowed down the tempo in the second period (good decision without a doubt). The strong performers today were Luiz, Terry, Ivanovic and Ramires. Lampard didn't see much of the ball in the 2nd half, Hazard couldn't keep possession, Moses couldn't make the right decisions, and Torres only got scraps to feed on. Mata had a couple of good crosses (namely the assists) but otherwise nothing remarkable. But overall, am satisfied with the substitutions and the result. Hopefully we can see a better performance at Anfield.
  17. Doesn't deserve to be compared to Kalou, but his decision making can be a lot better.
  18. Drop Oscar, play Ba and Torres together.
  19. I think its always useful to have ONE established in-form CB that is part of the starting eleven in every game. And, make rotations in the other CB position. Back then JT was the first choice CB, and everyone other CB got used to his playing style. That way you can establish some sort of consistency to the back line and prevent weak pairings like Cahill-Luiz. The downside is when the first-choice CB becomes injured, in which case you have to start the process all over.
  20. Yeah, agree that he should have been subbed. I don't think the last few minutes did anything for his confidence.
  21. It happened when he was pushed into an advanced role, after Mikel came on. His passing became wayward. As a CDM, he was solid
  22. I think you can get off your high horse now...
  23. Have to admit..I am as well. Its not the fact he scored, but the way he dribbled and showed pace. But I guess we'll know more in the coming weeks.
