  1. Sleep and passing. Sleep is holy, passing is necessary. Social life? Optional.
  2. Something I really don't get - why would you take off players who provide you width when you're down 1-0?! If anything you should bring on more players who can put in crosses so you can widen the pitch even more. United have done this for years and they've been proven successful with strategy.
  3. The lack of activity in this thread compared to others is shocking. Especially after such an embarrassing performance by Ash.
  4. Hazard against 4 players, Jesus fucking Christ!
  5. Our centre was completely blank, obviously he had to settle for the "in-between option". Covering as many passing options as possible is what you expect your defensive midfielders to do when Mata's playing in front of them and that's also why you expect your wingers to track back!
  6. That's your worst player in Europe at converting chances right there...
  7. Did anyone actually expect Mikel to score there anyway?
  8. Wow, Barry with the save of the year!
  9. I missed that probably. Are you and your family safe? I mean you see and hear a lot about Syria here on TV and my parents went through war so I know a bit about it, hence I've been wondering how you're able to be online on TC?!
  10. True that; I used Bayern just as an example though, most quality teams are set up similarly.
  11. I swear, everytime people are bored or something they start rioting either in this thread or in the Torres one...
  12. Depends on your tactics. In a team like United they're necessary (though United always use just one traditional winger, AFAIK) but in a team like Bayern that uses its inverted wingers as a sort of playmakers that play the through balls from the wings traditional wingers wouldn't even be half as effective as their inverted counterparts.
  13. In an age of teams focussing on the passing game (and thus wingers having the stronger foot inside to be able to play more accurate passes) more than ever, traditional wingers aren't as necessary as they used to be.
  14. Imagine it starting a new "football wave", like when Spain won the Euro 2008. Just instead of teams trying to replicate the tiki-taka, they'd go full England aka "Just get the ball from the back to our stiker", lol.
  15. Some posts in here are worse than what the media usually produce...
  16. Hm, you have a point there, though, I don't think that England's current individual class is good enough to compete with the very best in the world. I'm not saying that all players are shit but except for 4 or 5 players who are either world-class or have the potential to become world-class England's squad is really average/slightly above average. They could still do damage to the likes of Brazil and Germany, even with that squad, if they had a good and modern-day coach, not someone like Hodgson, but we know that's not gonna change any time soon. (I must say though that England's problems shouldn't only be reduced to lack of quality players and a poor manager. It's the whole footballing culture (or lack of it) that England has suffered from during the past decade. Whether that'll change, we'll have to see.)
  17. Wilshere - Carrick Walcott - Rooney - Ox Sturridge Personally, I think that's the best offense that England has to offer atm, which still is not really that good at all compared to teams like Spain, Germany and Brazil.
  18. Yeah, they did. And they lost when it mattered, as per usual lol.
  19. Who are you to tell me that my opinion and assumption is some animal's shit? If you actually read what I wrote you'd know that I never stated that those people, who've been a part of this forum for a longer time than the others, are superior to the rest or in any way better than them, smh
