It won't be since he is a regular for the Brazilian team.

What about Fernando Torres' first year at Chelsea ?
Joker10 replied to SeB's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
tbf this is the best Torres article/thread. For me i wasn't really excited over the Torres signing, because i was considering the opportunity cost. Aguero should've been signed. I really don't consider Torres past his best, i saw it from the beginning that he would struggle in our playing style, but obviously not to this degree. I truly still believe if he was still with Liverpool or another counter attacking team he would still be considered one of the best striker in the world. If you are going to invest 50m on one player, then at that point you should try to accommodate to his playing style. -
Yeah he flopped against Barca, but seriously that is not news. There is a reason why even Kalou has the same amount of goals in the CL as Higuain.

http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/willian/profil/spieler_52769.html According to this site his contract expires in the summer of 2014.

The problem with 4-2-3-1 is that doesn't suit Ramires at all. He won't have the same freedom to make those runs he does from midfield, and that is his biggest strength. Midfielders in the back two has to be tactically disciplined and have good positioning, and Ramires is piss poor at both tbh.
-
I like Jovetic a lot, and no doubt he would be priced a lot higher if he wasn't injured all of last season. He was a beast two years ago in the CL, almost singly handily knocked out Bayern Munich. Would've advanced if the game had a fair referee.

Sturridge is definitely better then Nasri, i don't think that is even debatable. Nasri is extremely overrated, ffs he was only good for 3-4 months in his entire Arsenal career. He is not even a regular at City, and not even missed at Arsenal. Well maybe he is right now since Gervinho is injured. Balotelli and Sturridge are on the same level. They both have the same amount of goals in PL competition, 2 of those goals are penalties, and Balotelli is surrounded with better talent. Maybe i am overrating Sturridge, or you are extremely underrating him. But most likely is a little of both. I should remained you Sturridge has only been playing regular since last February, and less then a season playing out wide. You are being way too critical of him. Mancini gave him high remarks, and i believe he was being genuine. Also Ashly Cole has given big praises to Sturridge. Here is what he said in the summer: "I knew what he could do, I've seen him in training and he's honestly one of the hardest players I've ever had to mark, his movement is unreal, so the future here is with the young players and hopefully when he comes back next season he'll see more opportunities and bang goals in for us like he has done for Bolton.” That is big praise, especially by one of the best LB of his generation. Mata is better then Hazard, Gotze, Sanchez and Di Maria, especially for this team. You talk about Mata being inconsistent but seriously how can you rate Hazard higher, when he is definitely more inconsistent. People on this forum seen way too many youtubes videos of Hazard. He might have a higher celling then Mata, but atm Mata is better. Why exactly do you think Di Maria and Sanchez is better? btw I don't think Mata is a top ten forward, but it doesn't matter he adds much more to this team then most of those players you listed. He is perfectly fit for this team, so far his debut season in the PL has been on par with David Silva first season if not better. Silva took major steps this season, and Mata can certainly do the same. Mata is not world class right now and David Silva wasn't either last season.

Sturridge would start over Nasri and Dzeko first of all. Him and Balotelli are on the same level. He would probably not start every game then again even Aguero rotates in City attack. I think you are underrating him and our rivals would love to have him. Mata has to do a lot for our lack of midfield because no one in our midfield can connect more then two passes in row so he has to drop back a lot , he would naturally perform better and be more consistent when our midfield is resolved. Same goes for Sturridge. btw no way is Luiz world class, i think he has been unfairly criticized and i am a huge fan but just no.

I am quite baffled by this thread. I can see where you are coming from with the Ramires comments. But seriously disagree with you with Sturridge and Mata. I want to start with Sturridge then get to your comments about Mata. I don't know what you are on about but Sturridge would definitely start for any team in the Premier league, including Man City and United. In fact Mancini has stated the following: "If Sturridge was here today, he'd be in the first team. I've watched him many times and know him well." He would definitely start over Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young at United. Sturridge has been playing shitty lately, but remember this trend is pretty recent since Ivanovic got injured. Bosingwa is single handily doing his best to ensure Sturridge is ineffective, he plays much better with Ivanovic. Mata is not on the same level as Xavi, Iniesta, Ronaldo, and Messi obviously. But no way is Rooney, Aguero, and Silva on the same tier as them either. There is not much of a difference between Silva and Mata, and Mata is doing a lot on the wing to compensate for a very poor midfield. Aguero had a great month in his debut, but since then he has pretty much had a lot of inconsistent games like Sturridge and Mata. Aguero is a tad overrated.

I haven't seen much of him, only seen him in the CL. But the only player i have seen that constantly gets the better of Dani Alves. btw Did he sign a new contract recently, because i thought he in the last year of his contract?

I say we should stop sanding our non-english youth players to english clubs, because clearly they have no interest of playing them. Intended or untended prejudice but clearly they are not given a fair chance. Posters here mention our rivals most successful loan transfers; Wilshere, Walker, Welbeck, and Cleverley. Sturridge was our most successful loan transfer, and it seems to me only english players are given a fair chance on loan in England. Can anyone name a few or even one non-english player that thrived on a loan to another english club? This season our most successful loan stories are Kalas, Courtois, and Bruma. Pretty sure none of them would've gotten a chance at a english club.
-
I don't think either of those players would really want to be at United either. Does that mean United is not a super club? Barca also rejected Erikson at age 15 and so did other clubs. Personally i favor Erikson over Gotze, he perfectly fits our 4-3-3 flat formation.
-
Tim Krul and Joe Hart are also in the discussion, but for me is Vorm. He has been benched.
-
Vorm has been the best keeper in the PL this season, no chance he would come here as a backup.
-
Gotze is not a CM, he is neither a Iniesta or a Xavi. He is more like Ozil, Silva, Mata, Jovetic, Hazard, etc. Players who can play on the wing or behind a striker. We have the best chance with Hazard. Gotze is a year or two away from moving, Neymar is Real or Barca bound. As talent and potential goes i rank them in this order: Neymar>>>>>>Gotze<Hazard.
-
McEachran and Mata.
-
Neither Madrid or Barca are keen on Hazard tbh, pretty much believe City is the bigger obstacle Zidane wants him at Madrid, but he is not a big influence with Mourinho and Florentino Perez at the table. Perez wants Neymar, but Mourinho likes his current squad a lot and may only make an exception for Neymar. Because Neymar is that special of a talent, a player you have to sign and especially since your eternal Nemesis are hard after him. There is no need for Hazard at Barca either, with Csec playing so much forward. Sandro Rosell seems to have a hard on for Brazilian players and would definitely make Neymar a priority in the summer. So in short Barca and Madrid are eyeing a bigger fish.
-
Ivanovic is a much better RB then CB, even though he wouldn't admit it. He hasn't been quality at CB for a while now, while he puts in quality performances at RB. I don't think it should be a priority to get a RB in this transfer window, this season is almost lost and i hope AVB experiment with Hutchinson and see what we have in the youngster.
-
I think you are underrating Ivanovic at RB, while extremely overrating him at CB.
-
With the exception of Adam, all those players you listed are DM's for their team. Wouldn't it be more fair to compare Ramires to Anderson, Wilshere, Cleverley, Arteta, Modric, and Yaya?
-
I still believe Lampard is a better option then Meireles.
-
Podolski would be a massive signing for arsenal, hopefully he stays in Germany.
-
Our midfield has been total shit for the last few games, i seriously can't imagine being any worse with McEachran.
-
I am not expecting big changes, my concern is finishing outside of the top 4. We need a major signing to qualify for CL next year.
-
How do you know our interest was legitimate in Vargas? The media proclaims there is chelsea interest with almost every player.
