  1. Everyone already knows my view on Oscar. repeating it will be like kicking a man/boy when he's down
  2. Even florentino is not that stupid. On second thought, he might just be, given his track record of awful decision making.
  3. Why wasn't the patience and age argument used for kdb who wasn't given enough opportunities btw. Where is the fairness is all im saying
  4. Finishing? That will imply that we are actually creating clear cut chances which isn't the case at all. This is what clear cut chances and bad finishing looks like. I had actually be a whole lot more positive and optimistic if our players have been having chances like to ones in the video posted to score from.
  5. There are 4 players i genuinely despise and he's one of them. The other 3 being Nasri, van persie and pepe
  6. read my mind. The desperation to see Courtois displace cech is real out here. every decent/average save and performance by him must be hyped up to ridiculous levels.
  7. sturridge deserves the YPOTY though. He has better productivity/stats and impact than arguably every nominee for the category and that's despite the injuries he's battled with all season.
  8. The award immediately loses its credibility with the exclusion of premier league's best midfielder, David Silva, who has been utterly unplayable all season. from the list, Toure probably deserves the POTY award on the basis of consistency (suarez has been anonymous in most of the big games, a flat track bully basically) and it's a tie between Hazard and Sturridge for the young player award. And why is shaw on the list but Seamus coleman and azpilicueta aren't.
  9. I had to quit my job to clean toilets and stadiums for 180k per week.
  10. It's their own fault for being little tiny horses deprived of milk and nourishment. We don't have any stallion in the academy.
  11. While I agree that stability is key. The manager must also be committed to the youth development mandate otherwise it's pointless and I have major doubt Mourinho is the right man to bring through the youth. This was suppose to be a transition year yet no youngster/youth player have been awarded minutes on the pitch. He's a master tactician and a winner but a believer in youth development and nurturing he ain't.
  12. Unfortunately RLC is the Chalobah of 2 years ago the same way Chalobah was the Mceacheran of 4 years ago the same way josh was the Jack cork of 6 years ago. It's a never ending vicious cycle. unless we change our attitude of being overly cautions and prioritizing only on established players. nothing will change.
  13. ermm criticising team mates (the controversial lack of creativity accusation interview), constant moaning at refs, unprofessional mannerism when things aren't going his way, the Munich farce, throwing a fit over being subbed off amongst other things aren't attitude and character traits often associated with "nice guys". this myth has to stop.
  14. Easier said than done. We have only won 4 or more games in succession ONCE this season. just to give you an idea of the uphill task we face.
  15. Wait I thought RLC was the highest paid player from the academy. also there's no justifiable reason why Christensen should be on higher wages than Nathan ake.
  16. If all else fails, the ref will just award them another soft penalty for yet another stevie G special.
  17. The grass is always greener on the other side. It's funny because if RLC was playing for a premier league club with the combination of his size, athleticism and technical ability, the same people will be calling for the club to splash the cash on him. It's amazing what EPL experience can do to a young players value.
  18. Premiership experience aside. Is the gap, talent wise, between barkley and Loftus cheik so huge as to justify paying the ridiculous sum that he will likely go for rather than just nurture RLC into the first team. I have seen enough of both players to know the answer is no. IMO ofcourse.
  19. Whenever I need a good laugh I go to the first couple of pages of this thread and compare it with the most recent posts. how times have changed. some (not me mind) were utterly convinced we have just signed Europe's best striker who would take over from Drogba and lead us to the promise land.
  20. The wankfest and my hatred for lfc is the very reason I was rooting for man city to get a result at anfield. While we are capable of beating them (which will be an almighty task), that win pushes them closer to clinching the title and I simply cannot support any result that enhances the scousers chances of winning the league. if we lose at Anfield then what? would you all still see the city loss as a good result?
  21. I was just messing with you. however there's sufficient evidence to argue that signing league proven players doesn't necessarily increase the chances of a transfer being successful. transfer is just as much about luck as scouting and solid decision making.
  22. Like Torres and Demba ba . . .oh wait
