You couldn't be more wrong. from the late 80s and through out the 90s brazil was my second team mainly for their flair and attitude towards football (people probably know by now that I love entertaining football very much) and the great players they consistently churned out. players like Romario, Djalminha, cafu,Carlos,Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Mauro silva, dinho et al were an absolute joy to watch. However it's my opinion that the conveyer belt of talent production in Brazil is no where near as functional and productive as it used to be and I don't see players like Oscar,Luiz and ramires as a starting material for a team aiming to become an European elite. Willian I have no problem with, he just needs to become more decisive and productive in the final third. Regarding the topic, I think it's a brilliant idea.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/02/jose-mourinho-chelsea-eden-hazard-not-for-sale "We had lots of matches, and long periods this season, where we produced excellent football but we weren't the killer profile" Seriously jose?
-
This is what does my head in. Where did he get the idea from that we ever played "stylish" football at any point in time under him. He said something similar at the start of the season. if the struggle, bootleg version of counter attacking football we were playing earlier in the season is his idea of "stylish" football then . . . . . .

"I have a dream, that one day, my club will become drama free and have a great football philosophy which will be well implemented and that the youth shall reach the promise land". Then I woke up.
-
Yes it was a beautiful bit of improvisation. we need to see more of that from him next season. He plays it far too safe most of the time. Luckily for him, he has the ability to be creative on a consistent basis so it's more mental issue
-
Torres was and has never been a Chelsea player. figuratively speaking. in his actions and words he's always had more compassion for the scousers and atlei. so why's anyone surprised?
-
They taught us footballing lesson. Hope Jose and the players were taking notes.
-
Roman wanted result at all cost that's why he hired Jose. I don't expect much to change next season in terms oif playing style. I have become accustomed to shit on a stick football that we have been playing since 2010/11 season.
-
The blame has to go to Jose for picking a player who isn't match fit to start such a crucial game. bad judgement.
-
And you know the depressing part, they didn't need to spend £200m plus to achieve it. That's what appointing the right manager, excellent scouting, faith in youth and great planning can achieve. I expect us to spend another £100m plus on technically average players in the summer and back to square one. . . . . . . .

I have got to say that for all the reputation Atleti has, they do keep possession and create clear cut chances incredibly well. kudos to simeone. that's what a rugged, well balanced and well coached counter attacking team should look like. He should win manager of the year for sure.
-
He might as well have, with the team he selected. what's the fucking point of picking 6 defenders to play ehm open/attacking/counter attacking (whatever you want to call it) football?
-
Torres. William was superb there
-
No he wasn't. He more than held his own in the few apps he made for them. He wasn't in the inter manager's favour so had a restricted playing time. The same way Kovacic's minutes are restricted to just a few apps and minutes here and there. Doesn't mean they are shit just that the manager prefers experience and defensive minded players or tactically aware players. It's Italy afterall.

I made an honest mistake as I had forgotten about mikel's suspension which Belgianutt pointed out in a matured and civilized manner.

I have found the forum far more enjoyable and easy to navigate with the ignore function. good way to weed out some rude, unintelligent and overly sentimental and emotional idiots.
-
My ignore list keeps growing by the day.
-
Yes like Coutinho. he's a natural playmaker.
-
For anyone that can create and make play, basically execute the functions of a playmaker to a certain level required at the top level. anyone that can even do it at bare minimum or satisfactory standard is instantly an upgrade on oscar. he's not hard to replace at all.
-
Btw I don't ever want to see Luiz take any direct free kick tonight. Set piece could be our only method or opportunity to score tonight so it shouldn't be wasted.
-
fair enough.
-
TBF he didn't use the all important words "consecutive" or "in a row" so that stats could very well still be accurate. . .
-
This is far too defensive. seriously where is the balance? Where will the creativity come from, Ramires, luiz and azpi in midfield on paper looks quite ridiculous. And why has Rami been chosen ahead of mikel who was arguably motm in the previous encounter and given the season the Brazilian has had. . . . Not happy with the selection at all.
-
As it should be because he's simply not good enough
-
What's our obsession with Brazilians honestly. I could understand if it was their golden era in terms of producing genuine quality footballers which is long gone. Paulinho has been absolutely terrible since joining spurs.
