  1. Here's the thing. ancelotti has proven over the course of the season that he 1) Cannot motivate his team 2) Lacks tactical awareness and the ability to read his opponent/game and devise a strategy accordingly 3) Ability to change a game when it's heading towards a draw or defeat 4) Over reliant on age and experience even at the detriment of the teams performance and result Why do people want him to stay given all this glaring weaknesses besides winning the double, after all wenger also won the double with arsenal but as remained trophyless for 6 seasons in a row and counting. are we contempt with mediocrity all in the name of stability.
  2. Considering his performance over the past 13 months or so, I wouldn't be that confident if I were you A player likely to improve or return to form will always show indications and glimpses and that he has failed to do some players peak early and die off early(Ronaldinho,Robinho, torres, kaka) while others age well like a red wine (Giggs, maldinni,Zanetti)
  3. Gbam my sentiments exactly :goodpost:
  4. I hope he returns to his best next season as well but he's been like this :fainthv9:since last season.
  5. sack carlotti now and avoid further embarrassment and heartache We don't need Ganso, alexis sanchez and neymar to beat newcastle comfortably at home and on the last home game of the season for that matter
  6. dear or dear. folks there you have it. Like I said before. unless something changes significantly over the summer, we can expect more of this next season.
  7. Results can be misleading. besides can you honestly say Blackpool haven't played better than us this season, from an attacking standpoint
  8. @zansnake. why must you use the league's poor standard this season to justify our abysmal performances? That other teams have not performed to their potential doesn't excuse anything. our standard as fans shouldn't drop so low as to accept this lifeless displays
  9. @ eldo really. The same way we are playing newcastle off the park in this match  Let's face it. we have been mediocre this season and given the players we have, we are certainly capable of better ps. everyone knows blackpool have been one of the most attacking teams in the PL. men lie, women lie but numbers don't
  10. Heck Blackpool have a vastly inferior sqaud/first team to chelsea and yet play a far more superior football. That argument of buying creative midfielders and wingers to solve the problem doesn't fly with me we have sufficient quality players to play decent footie. this is unacceptable. period
  11. This is how we have played for majority of the season and that includes some game we won. we can expect more of this shambolic display next season as long as Lotti remains in charge
  12. @ Kez Going by your logic rafa benitez must be a great manager too right? after all he has the UCL and la liga title to his credit
  13. @ Kez. This is a manager that cannot get his team to give a decent display on the last home game of the season. There's no point highlighting his many tactical deficiencies I would like to know the logic behind your confident support of him
  14. Do you guys still have confidence in ancelotti to turn things around next season ?
  15. Torres has never been a technically gifted player who could beat defenders with ease and create chances out of nothing. That coupled with the fact that he's been a shadow of himself for the past 16 months = £50 million down the drain. what was Abramovich thinking?
  16. The formation clearly isn't working. benayoun can never function on the right wing and lampard - josh combination is off no movement from torres upfront and anelka is dropping to deep leaving us empty in attack. we must move the ball more quickly and make better movement in the 2nd half
  17. After watching this drab and lifeless display, are you guys still confident about next season Last home game of the season and this is the best they could offer the fans.good lord
  18. @zansnake I disagree. his movement in this match has been static as usual. look how uninterested he was to run into the box to receive the ashley cole cross few mins ago and you say he's been sandwicth. more like he has lost the ability to hold up play or beat his markers.and if tht's the case, he should simply keep things simple and release the ball on time
  19. Torres playing like he can't be a'rsed and this is the striker we plan to build the team around next season can't even make a decent run into the box. smh
  20. Adding a 29 yr old player who is injury prone and looks past his prime to our growing list of aging squad surely cannot be a wise decision from any standpoint It's time to adopt a long term and sustainable strategy. that's the only way forward. one would think RA and the board would have learned their lesson from the sheva and veron situation
