  1. What leniency? Oscar went through 9 months of terrible form, Schurrle has been crap through out the season (bar the opener against Burnley), Salah has been beyond hopeless since we signed him, Willian is his unproductive self and the biggest example of leniency of them all Torres who earned a killing for close to 4 years of abject mediocrity. KDB was never given anywhere near enough opportunities/leniency here. not even close.
  2. Really. my bad. It's probably that whiny shit, Torres. You can't put it past him to do something like that but then he only came on for Ba in the last 6 mins
  3. There's nothing laughable about it because it's the truth. Technique reflects all aspects of football : passing, touch/close control dribbling, shooting and oscar is painfully limited in all of these aspects bar shooting which isn't great but better than average. It's no coincidence that the non technical aspect (workrate) is what people use to rate him as a good player and justify his inclusion in the first team/starting 11. You hear words like, He gives us balance, he helps us keep the shape etc. reminds you of anyone? Ramires. Mats Hummels is a superb illustration that if you are technically good, people will highlight that aspect of your game more often regardless of the position and role you play in the team. I have been watching football for a long long time (since the 80's to be precise) and have seen enough of Oscar to know he's technically limited player.
  4. If what he's saying is true then the logical answer as to be Hazard since he already expressed his discontent for parking the bus tactic at Atletico last season.
  5. The whole team is underperforming but Drogba has been 2 levels below shit so far
  6. Cuadrado was the third best player in serie A last season after Benatia and Immobile (based on form and consistency rather than reputation) and Draxler is far more productive player than Willian can ever hope to be. Also I thought we were discussing who the better players were (since you claim those 2 aren't better than Willian) and not who's more suitable to our system?
  7. Firstly everyone knows Luiz and James were massively overpriced and that was no where near their true valuation. secondly Cavani was sold off the back of 3 truly world class season where he averaged over 22 goals per season and strikers traditionally cost more than other outfield players anyway so the cavani fee was more reasonable Di maria joined Utd after a Ballon dor level season (that's how good he was last season) and if Ronaldo and Messi weren't in the equation, we are talking about a genuine Ballon dor contender right there alongide Suarez and Zlatan. coupled with the fact that United were desperate to revive their season and also appease the fans with marque signings. All things considered we could get £60/70m for Hazard (you are right in that sense and with how crazy the modern market has become ) but that wouldn't be an accurate reflection of his true value which is the point I was trying to make anyway.
  8. Draxler and cuadrado are comfortably better than Willian.
  9. All this tells me is you and the British media overrate hazard vastly. He's done nothing to justify £60/70m price tag. that's the sort you pay for genuine match winners ala Suarez, Zlatan et al. dribbling past players with ease is not enough. impact, consistency and character are equally important.
  10. Integral is taking it too far. we already have Oscar and Willian (to an extent) for the battering ram role. He's useful but not "integral"
  11. From a technical standpoint he remains a superior player to Oscar and Schurrle and it's hypocritical that the same people claiming it was the right decision to sell after the limited chances he had, which prompted him to seek more playing time elsewhere in fear of losing his place in the NT are the same people that advocate patience for other players in the team that have gone through far worse barring spells and given significantly more leniency than KDB did while he was here. Nobody could convince me that having him that we made the right decision.
  12. I guess people didn't watch him at Udinese, Barca (last season) and Chile NT given the sudden wankfest when he's pretty much always been a magnificent player (bar his dip in form in his first season at Barca). He's not some wonderkid who just had a spectacular breakthrough season.
  13. This might sound crazy to some (it shouldn't) but I will take Isco plus 15 or 20m for him if push comes to shove and he's really determined to leave.
  14. It has nothing to do with a club's current standing and financial resources, Madrid usually get the player they want. the allure of playing for the biggest club in history is too irresistible to most players coupled with the fact that they have the resources to make an offer no club can refuse which they usually do for their galatico signings. I guess Man Utd (ronaldo), Bayern (Kroos) Juve (Zidane, Canavaro and Barca (Figo, Laudrup) are small clubs with a small club mentality.
  15. His tactic could also easily backfire. What stops the fans from reacting to the criticism with disdain and boo the hell out of him?. His strategy is classless and unnecessary. whether it will be "effective" remains to be seen.
  16. And not every club in the world offers the opportunity to stay in Germany with his family and friends while enjoying the benefits (trophies, attractive wages, bigger legacy) that other top clubs like Madrid, barca et al would offer. And for every Totti,Gerrard, maldini, there are Denis law, Ashley cole, Gotze, Sol Campbell, RVP, Schmeichel and to a lesser extent the likes of Figo, Laudrup, Bernd Shuster, Kenny miller et al. The tottis and maldinis are the exception to the rule. Loyalty in football is as close to a myth as you will ever get.
  17. There are better, more civilized and more effective method of addressing the issue than humiliating the fans that pay his and the players wages technically and giving our enemies/rivals stick to beat us with. he could have spoken to the supporters group/ representatives and the club's hierarchy in an attempt to rectify the issue but no criticizing the fans publicly is the right way to do it. He dropped the ball this time.
  18. Lampard "hard too much respect for us", "Fabregas had too much respect for Arsenal", "Pirlo had too much respect for Milan" and so on. come on this is football. surely you are not that naive?
  19. Pique has been terrible for a long time but let's not act like he wasn't one of the best defenders in Europe during the Guardiola barca prime years. He was rock back then
  20. For those thinking he's inevitably madrid bound the thing is, Madrid would want to replace CR in a few years time with an highly productive player/goal machine and not a creative one (almost a like for like)which Hazard isn't. they already have enough creativity. otherwise they would just go after another flavour of the month of the back of a fantastic euro or world cup. Also Isco has been playing some of the best football of his career this season and has also added the work rate which Ancelotti criticized last season and he offers the same tangibles and skillset as Hazard. so they already have an Hazard -esque player in their squad. But then again Madrid aren't the most sensible club around and Ancelotti is just a yes man.
  21. No we don't and the costa statement is blasphemous. I'm willing to bet you any amount that no neutral observer, non chelsea fan would rate or take Costa over Aguero. from a logical standpoint, the Argentine has superior football technique (it's not even up for debate) He has a superior goals to game ratio over the past 5 seasons and that's depsite being extremely injury prone, He's proven himself beyond any shadow of a doubt in this league and has scored exactly the same goals in the league this seaosn as Costa in less minute so what are you basing your argument on? There's no way Yaya and Matic are equal, nevermind that they are different type of player who play different roles for their team, Yaya had one of the greatest seasons by any player in the legues' history last season and has been hugely influential in all of City's trophy since the takeover. don't let his form so far this season cloud your judgement. Fabregas is a genuis granted but so is silva and as a matter of fact apart from passing (long range in particular) Silva trumps him in every other department bar vision which is about equal. And individually the defence is about equal.
  22. Yes Nothing special about them. the word special means exceptional, breathtaking, something out of the ordinary and those other goals do not merit these adjectives. perhaps you are easily impressed.
  23. I said from day one that he should have taken Salah's slot as there was no need for buying the Egyptian and nothing has changed that pov. However football is unpredictable and Thorgan could have easily ended up as bad as Mo has been in the first team afterall he was voted the best player in the swiss league before we bought him. but there's only one way to find out if keeping him would have been a better decision and that's by adding him to the first team next season.
