I predict a lot of trademark Sterling far post tap ins for Arse. He’ll be a good depth signing for them. Martinelli can go from looking like a beast in some games to looking like a complete headless chicken pace merchant for a long stretch. So I think Sterling is a solid alternative.

It’s definitely a concern, I won’t kid myself about that. But I’m not going to panic yet. If Palace cause them all sorts of problems this weekend I’ll start to worry.

The United fan meltdown reactions are more fun than actually signing him and working out where tf he’s going to play. If it’s a loan I wonder if it’s a buy option or obligation. There are benefits to both. If he surprisingly performs like he did at Dortmund then a low obligation fee benefits us. Speaking of American sports salaries, I don’t think people who only follow UK/European sports really realize just how INSANE they are compared to footballers. These days the top NBA stars are going to be making $60m+ per year. The very top NFL QB’s make well north of $50m per year. We think these footballers are overpaid, it’s a different ballgame over here in the States.

Why would Villa let Duran leave today? They desperately need quality depth or they severely harm their chances whilst trying to go far in the UCL and PL. They’ve got nobody behind Ollie Watkins without Duran, right?
