Just fucking win. Don’t care how ugly it is.
-
Another knock for Estevão? Not even in the squad. He'd have been ideal against the inevitable low block here rather than Garnacho.
-
So is Sarr a ball playing CB who can pass comfortably between the lines or is he more of a no-nonsense, “classic” CB? I haven’t watched enough of him to know.
-
Would be pretty funny if after all the “he ONLY wants Chelsea” or “Rennes close the door completely in January” stuff he ends up at Liverpool this weekend. Would explain why we’re trying to recall Sarr.
-
Recalling Sarr makes the most sense since the coach knows him well. But if we aren’t sending Anselmino there to replace him then again, this whole situation is pretty fucked up for both Strasbourg who were screwing over once again and for Anselmino who was happy where he was. Wonder what, if anything happens with Jacquet now. Pre agreement?
-
This is why I’m really wondering if the reason we want Jacquet so badly is so that we can switch mainly to a back 3 with him in the center. Maybe that’s why we want so many damn CB’s on our books. To have depth for 3 spots instead of 2.
-
LOL! I seriously didn’t even realize I was doing that 🤣
-
There was a time when it felt like we had 500 attacking midfielders in our team and now it’s going to be CB’s. The Sarr stuff seems like bullshit if we are also still going to push for Jacquet. How does that make any sense?
-
We should be fucking off Tosin, Badiashile, and Disasi and replacing them with Jacquet and Anselmino. But it’s far too late in the window for most of that to happen now and Rosenoir seems to genuinely rate Badi.
-
The Anselmino situation is some absolute clown shit. Why the FUCK would we cut his loan short with no plan in place?
-
More footage I watch of this kid Barco the more I want us to bring him. The fact that he’s already at our sister club and worked under our current manager is very fortunate. Should give us a free run at him if we actually want him.
-
At least Paqueta is no longer there to score a random worldie from nothing like he did last time. Really just have to shut down Bowen as he’s their only consistent danger man in attack. Really HAVE to win this run of “easier” fixtures we have coming up because it’s going to get much tougher afterwards. I know West Ham have had a bit of an uptick recently but if we’re focused and up for it we should be winning this at home comfortably. They’re probably going to sit deep and compact and try to use Bowen’s pace on the break. So against a deep block we should definitely be starting either Palmer or Estevão on one wing and Gittens on the other. Pedro Neto and Garnacho would be useless without space to exploit. We need dribblers who can beat players.
-
Sounds like nobody remembered to ask Rosenoir about Anselmino at the press conference just now. 🤦♂️ Are we going to use him or what?
-
Would indeed be a great move for him.
-
Yeah, I definitely get Verratti or Vitinha vibes from watching him. Small guy with huge aggression and also silky technique on the ball with a great ability to pass between the lines. Could be a super smart alternative in the summer to Anderson or Wharton.
-
I’ve seen this kid’s name before but have never really seen him play. After just watching some highlights I’m kind of shocked by how impressed I am. He looks class on the ball and like a tiger without the ball in typical Argentine fashion despite his small size. Looks very well suited to the PL.
-
Legitimately wouldn’t shock me.
-
Or out of nowhere Ornstein will tweet that we’ve agreed to sign the most random player possible on loan that nobody heard even a faint whisper about beforehand like he did with Bounanotte.
-
Disasi and Sterling’s wages suddenly off the books. Wonder if we may actually push ahead with a signing in these next few days.
-
That would be pretty fucked up. Uproot Anselmino from Germany midseason where he was happy and then dropping him in yet another country as a makeweight. Just treating human beings as chess pieces moving around a board.
-
Seems the only way Rennes will agree to sell him now is if a club pays them £60m or wherever it was to eclipse the Doku sale. That’s like £20m more than what Fabrizio reported that we wanted to pay. Guess we’ll find out within the next couple of days how badly we want him and how highly the directors rate him. Because if they pass now and wait until the summer he’ll have who knows how many suitors pushing. I’m still skeptical about him and puzzled that we brought Anselmino back.
-
I personally hope we don’t play any PL at all in the UCL. Just kind of boring. At least until the Final if we were to make it all the way.
-
Nah, that’s literally what they’ve agreed to pay!
-
£50m for Strand Larsen to Palace. Fucking hell! I couldn’t tell you one thing he’s ever done and he’s going for £50m!
-
Subs changed the game completely. Imagine that….playing a CB at CB is smart! Trev instantly made us comfortable at the back.
