  1. Caicedo isn’t moving right out here. That’s a couple of times now that he has been slow to turn and he isn’t moving freely.
  2. Incredibly fortunate. That’s not a foul. Can we wake the fuck up now?
  3. Now 2 awful performances out of 3 to start the season.
  4. Ansolutely dogshit performance. What the fuck are we doing? How is THIS the intensity we show up with?
  5. This is a performance that reminds me of Palace so far. Fulham compact and organized whilst we play it around far too slowly and can’t get our attacker involved at all.
  6. More likely some random strike we’ve never heard of.
  7. Ah, FUCK. it’s the exact scenario we worried about with letting Jackson go. An early injury to one of our strikers.
  8. Yep. Sounds like a manager who has no real control of the situation and it’s kind of out of his hands. If we put the cash on the table I think we’d get him because Barca need the money. Can we do that within the UEFA rules is what we’ll find out soon.
  9. These quotes I’m seeing from Flick don’t exactly slam the door closed for Fermín. But with this kid from Brighton on his way in and with Jackson only being a loan I don’t think we push for him.
  10. I just want our best players starting. That’s all. I fully understand what Maresca is doing but I would just rather him start. 🤷‍♂️
  11. True, but I’d manage him the other way around. Start him, play him for an hour or something, then sub him to protect his hamstrings.
  12. I get wanting to stick with the same XI that won 5-1 but I do think it’s odd that Reece isn’t starting for 2 matches in a row.
  13. Yep. Literally equivalent to any random Twitter guy. He knows absolutely fuck all.
  14. So basically we have to hope that Jackson absolutely crushes it there. If he does and Bayern still decide not to trigger the clause at least he’ll have advertised himself for other top clubs. But we still aren’t sure whether a loan is enough for us to make one last big move before the window closes. I’m guessing not.
  15. Does Facundo translate to “fucking?” We’re signing a dude named Fucking Goodnight?
  16. I’m sure the darling of last seasons transfer window Calafiori is delighted they’ve just signed a carbon copy of him.
  17. Someone make this make sense. Why tf would we get this kid from Brighton on loan AND Fermín? This guy is already unlikely to play much. Getting Fermín in addition means he may never play. What is our club doing? Almost everything we’ve done this summer up until this week has looked good. Like we finally turned a corner with our recruitment. Now we are looking like the chaotic shitshow that we did that first summer under Clearlake.
  18. But again, Ornstein said we wanted Fermín who would’ve cost about the same as Xavi supposedly.
  19. Okay fine, but then why not use the €60m it was reportedly going to cost and throw that money at an actual established, quality alternative? How do we go from a really good player from Barca to a kid who Brighton don’t even want? It’s the equivalent of going to buy a Ferrari, the dealership saying sorry that one’s not for sale, and then going and leasing a Toyota Prius instead. Like wtf is this?
  20. Btw, why would Ornstein have dropped that report about us trying for Fermín López if we had no cash? And why haven’t we heard anything about why that move didn’t happen and we instead have to settle for a loan of a Brighton kid?
  21. Don’t think he’d struggle that much for playing time if Maresca is going to play 2 strikers frequently.
  22. As a few other have said, we may as well keep Jackson here if all we’re going to get is £12m and no obligation to buy. Do we really need that £12m so badly? Especially if George goes too?
  23. Look at the way Liverpool and City have defended to start the season. Shambolic from both of them. Neither is exactly going to be prime Mourinho Chelsea throughout this season. But what Liverpool will have is an outrageous array of attacking options one they inevitably sign Isak. So while yes, we have serious question marks about our defense and keeper, had we made the right attacking signing I truly do think we could’ve mounted a title challenge. We wouldn’t have had enough to actually win it but at least fight for it.
  24. I’m almost past being angry now. I’m more numb. Genuinely felt like with 1 more top attacking signing we could’ve become a serious threat at the top of the table and in the UCL. Now it feels like our ceiling will be 4th.
  25. On the one hand, you always want your best player on the pitch whenever possible. But on the other it may actually benefit us tomorrow in this particular match because Fulham’s game plan would’ve obviously revolved around stopping Palmer at all costs. We’re now much more difficult for them to prepare for because of Maresca’s lineup flexibility.
