Should we even risk it against Everton? Not sure I would.
-
Exactly. What he really means: "Give us more £££"
-
True.Basel would've been trouble for Liverpool last season but they've sold all of their best players. I'm actually going to back City to top their group over Bayern who I feel are massively overrated. Arsenal should go through fairly comfortably too, maybe even topping that group.
-
So how many will Real Madrid put past that awful Liverpool defense? Those games should be a joy to watch. A part of me actually wants the 3 other English sides to progress so they have more games and fixture congestion.

Everyone on twitter saying we got the Europa League draw. Nice!

Nice. Lots of travel for City. -
Wondering the same. Everyone seems pretty excited about the prospect of us signing him but to me that's more excitement of Torres going than Destro coming in.I'd never even heard of this guy before we were linked. Is he really Chelsea quality? To be honest, I'd have signed Balotelli for £16m.

Press conference today or tomorrow? Having a brain fart here and can't remember how it worked last year.
-
It's pretty embarrassing that a club of our size and with our ambitions was banking everything on a single top quality striker who has a history (a very recent history at that) of injuries. Now we're left with an old, past it Drogba and the corpse of Fernando Torres. Many of us were questioning from the moment we signed Costa what the hell would happen if he got injured early in the season. We're about to find out.
-
Just our fucking luck. Could've used Eto'o right about now.
-
Guys, I simply meant what he would bring to the table personality and football wise not wages or transfer fee. Obviously I know the money aspect is totally different. If José indeed wanted a veteran presence on a very short term deal to possibly bridge the gap in a "win now" season before MvG or one of the young players became a regular, then I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Alonso on a Eto'o type of deal. He was a free of course, but 10m is peanuts for such a player. Don't think he'd be demanding 200k either. Very comparable situation to Eto'o, really. A player José knows very well having worked with him so they both know exactly what to expect from each other. Edit: Moot point, anyways. Seems he wants Bayern. Because they need more midfielders, right? https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/504726523749101568

We should be all fucking over Xabi if he's available and at such a cut rate price. If we were seriously considering the veteran presence of Tiago a couple of months ago why not him?
-
Sanchez fitting in well at Arsenal I see. Diving like he's been sniped at the slightest contact just like every Arsenal player.
-
Seems like every Dutch player is.RvP, Robben...they all come off as total cunts.
-
If it's only a loan I find it a bit hard to get excited. As long as he's on our books at all he's a hindrance.
-
Benzema is one of those players who I think is very fortunate to be at Madrid in my eyes. I think he's in that bracket just below Real Madrid quality. He'd be excellent as the main focal point in a very good side but when he's in a team full of superstars he looks a bit average and goes missing quite a bit. If he was at Arsenal for instance I think he'd have massive statistics.
-
De Gea best keeper in the world according to that lot.
-
So, if Torres' massive wages go off the books and with the £28m we still have from Lukaku why not set r sights a bit higher than Destro? I'm sure we still have money left over from the other sales as well. José has openly talked about using a 2 striker lineup on multiple occasions so why not try to bring in a top drawer player? We could probably afford Cavani pretty easily and he and Costa could both play together frequently. Even if not, we'll be playing so many games this season like we always do and he'd start plenty.
-
Glad it's Everton and not Liverpool. He'd have scored loads there. Good signing for them, though.
-
Fucking cunts.

I've definitely made fun of Welbeck at times in the past but at times he can look like the best player in the pitch for United. Consistency is what he needs to work on.I think he'd get plenty of games for us and there's not a chance he's worse than Torres. He's not the best finisher but that's what happens when you don't play often. Having a look over on RedCafe a few days ago when the news broke that they'll sell him and the majority of them are pretty angry that he may leave. They'd rather sell Hernandez. Anyways, it's a moot point as there's not a chance they'd sell him to us. Even though we sold them our best player I doubt they'd even consider it.
-
Actually wouldn't mind Welbeck myself. Still young and can be improved by a manager that makes him feel special like José. At United he's been in and out of the team and would go long periods without playing at all. When he finally did play he was shunted out wide. If he's played where he should be played I think he has a very high ceiling. Plus we could really use a young, homegrown English player.

Wonder if this place is gonna crash if he's finally sold.
