I think calling him a "choker" in big games is harsh. When a side specifically goes into a match trying everything in their power to shut him down and he's got a man marker or two with every step he takes he's hardly choking when he's ineffective. We do it to almost every world class player we go against. We did it to the world's best striker last season in Suarez, we've done it for years against Messi, we've done it to Sanchez and Di Maria in recent matches this season. It's what good managers do. Identify the oppositions biggest threat and neutralize them.

Can't compare us with City at all, blue tinted specs on or not. We were a respectable club fighting near the top of the table. City were completely irrelevant.
