If we by some miracle manage to offload Torres this summer then UEFA should create an award for "Best Transfer Window." Torres, Luiz, and Ba out with Cesc, Costa, and Filipe Luis in. Absolutely mad.

It's apparent straight away that Cesc is going to almost be attached at the hip to Torres every time we see pics of him traveling or in training just like Mata was. We'll have constant reminders of our worst ever buy and one of our best (hopefully) in the same pics over and over.

Lukaku has said numerous times that he's modeling himself after Rooney or CR7 and wants to be the main man and undisputed, first choice striker. Even if he's told that he'd get plenty of playing time here that just doesn't seem enough to satisfy him.

Imagine the shit we'd get if we sell him to Everton and he out scores Costa. I think it's looking more and more likely that Drogba will be back as our 3rd striker. I hope not, though. We need a striker that offers something completely different than what Costa does. Thing is, who that's good enough would come in knowing he'd be a backup? Why not just give Eto'o another 1 year contract?

It would be a huge mistake to permanently sell him to an English club. Not only could he take points off of us (like Everton always seem to do anyways) but we'd look like complete mugs if he realizes his potential and slays the PL just like Sturridge did. Either loan him to Everton or sell/loan him abroad. We shouldn't even consider selling him to an English side.

If we are done buying then at least for the first time in years we can say that we aren't starting the season thinking "all we need now in the next window is this." We've addressed all of our needs. We don't NEED any other starting XI players.

Yes, Luke Shaw is significantly younger, but the fact that we have just bought a MUCH better, win now player for literally HALF the fee is insane. In his prime, league winning experience , plenty of European experience, and well used to going against the worlds best players. The perfect signing in nearly every way.
