Don't have a good feeling about this one to be honest.
-
Jason Cundy just tweeted that it's the same team but with Mikel in for Matić.
-
City are well and truly hitting their stride and still have Silva and Dzeko to come back. They also have a ridiculously easy set of fixtures coming up after Everton which I can easily see them winning all of considering the form they're in and momentum they have. Can be very dangerous if we drop points here and they beat Everton. Could dent our confidence and boost theirs like mad.
-
Mikel to start and score.
-
Yep, called it their World Cup final as well.
-
"Some teams see the Chelsea shirt and play the game of their lives. Then the next game they play like they're in a friendly." LOL! Direct shot at Sunderland there. Play as well as they'll ever play against us and then roll over against City.
-
Not sure why this thread is even open still. Just signed a new contract, plays for the world's biggest club, is very young and surrounded by somewhat aging CB's. He's going to be the rock at the back for Real Madrid for years and years. Zero chance we can get him. This is almost like the Messi thread. Pointless thinking it's possible.
-
Precisely as I predicted, really. Nice, comfortable win. Slightly concerned after half time when we appeared to just stop playing and allowed Spuds to stroke it around like Arsenal but we were still under control. Fucking sucks that Matić misses out in what's sure to be a tough match. Hopefully we pack the midfield to make up for his loss.
-
Why the hell are we just allowing them to dominate this game? Passing it around at will.
-
For the love of God, don't come out in the second half thinking the game is won. Keep playing exactly as we have been and go for their throat. Oh, and fuck off, Sunderland. You just knew they wouldn't match their performance they had against us and bend over for City.
-
For fucks sake! Making Harry Kanelook like prime Drogba! WAKE THE FUCK UP!
-
Have to avoid conceding free kicks within shooting range at all costs. Eriksen is ridiculously good at set pieces and that may represent their best chance to score against us.
-
Fuck off and join an Atleti forum then.
-
Yeah, wouldn't surprise me. Can see a labored start with one of our usual second half blitzes.
-
Think we'll see two up top for a large portion of the second half.
-
Don't personally have an issue with Didier starting but I'd have liked to see Luis and Ramires start. Maybe Schürrle.
-
Has Ramires done an Asley Cole and gone to an Arsenal party?
-
Still no Luis or any rotation at all. Hope we don't pay the price.
-
Yeah, I agree that wen won't dominate and destroy them, but I do feel we'll win convincingly enough. 2-0 or 3-1.
-
Can't see them beating us unless something ridiculous happens like we go a man down. Spuds don't really have the personnel to park the bus like all the small teams will try to do to us and aren't prolific or talented enough up top to cause us too many problems.Much more worried about our bogey side Newcastle. If we do lose today, however, I'm probably going to stay off of the internet for a while.
-
Before their game against Everton, each time I've seen Spuds I just thought to myself "man, this lot are so poor." They didn't look great against Everton either. Some shirt defending and tiredness won them that game. Feeling very confident that we'll win in a convincing manor.
-
This is what we'll see but I'd be a bit upset if Azpi starts again instead of Luis.Drogba will hopefully batter that soft Spud defense for 60-70 minutes and then Remy will come on and attack their tired players with his pace.

He wasn't at all. I think he was just as puzzled by the lack of intelligence in the questions as I was. Usually when there's a big London derby involving the top team in the league there would be a load of questions about it, but the journalists didn't feel like doing their jobs this morning.Instead they ask stupid questions like "what do you think of the girl who got nominated for the FIFA goal of the year?" Or "did you know Gary Lineker was the last Spurs player to score against Chelsea and lead them to a win?"
-
I honestly think that some of them are scared to ask José certain things because they know he'll embarrass them if it's a stupid question. Like you never hear journalists ask him things like why he went with a particular player or what would he have done differently if something goes wrong. You never really hear the English media ask many, if any confrontational questions like they often do with the likes of Wenger or Rodgers becasue José will tell them straight to their faces that they're an idiot or don't know what they're talking about. That's one reason I think they often ask these moronic questions.
-
My goodness, that may have been the worst press conference I've seen. These blockheaded journalists asked the dumbest, most irrelevant questions. This is a huge game against a rival and they ask no pertinent questions? Fucking hell!
