Pace is overrated. He isn't an out and out winger anyways and I doubt he'd be playing there for us if we signed him.Look at players like Cazorla or Iniesta. I probably have more pace than they do but they are fantastic dribblers and can ghost past 2-3 players with ease. Arda has that ability. Agree that his age would slightly concern me as would a huge fee. Not doubting his quality at all though.

Brilliant close control and dribbling, intelligent with the ball, big game player, experience in a top team which has won major honors, at his peak, great defensive contribution. Really nothing not to like other than end product. Depending on what we pay for him I think it would be a good signing. One of those players who I feel will really win supporters who are against his signing over after they see him playing for a couple of months.

Similarly to last season, if Courtois picks up an injury or just needs a rest for some reason we wouldn't have to worry at all.

Just doesn't seem like the player we should be signing at all, as good as he is. We already have one impotent attacking midfielder in Willian. We need more goals from that position. He's definitely a Mourinho type player and would be perfect if we didn't have Willian.
