It was an insane price at the time for someone so young, but after years and years of service it looks cheap. He can only get better.

Never understood why players don't hand in transfer requests when it's blatantly obvious to the whole world he wants out. What does he have to lose, a small "loyalty" bonus? I think that going into the season, regardless of who our rivals sign, we'd have to be considered favorites. We have the best manager, a group of players that know what it takes to win it all, and our team is totally settled. All of our rivals' new players will take time to settle (Di Maria and Özil are two high profile examples of world class players who took a long time to settle) and get on the same page as their managers.

Alexis is on a different planet than Pedro. Pedro doesn't/can't single handedly dominate teams or carry his side when they aren't playing well. Sanchez is a genuinely world class superstar. Pedro was a very good player but never at the level that Sanchez has shown over the past couple of years.
