  1. Fellaini is definitely not untouchable. He was only used out of necessity last season, really, because their forward players were so shit and Fellaini is great when Ashley Young is smacking in 50 crosses a game. Now they have proper, top class midfielders and will play Rooney in his proper position up top as well as bringing in another striker. I doubt we'll see too much of Fellaini at all in their first XI. He'll be a "plan b" and get the odd cup game. -----Di Maria------Rooney------Mata----- ---------------------Herrera--------------------- --------Schneiderlin---Schweinsteiger-------- Shaw-------New CB-------Smalling------Darmian -----------------------Keeper----------------------- Depay and Young as other wide options. They have a potentially fantastic squad.
  2. They'll have Herrera, Mata, Depay, and Di Maria for creativity.
  3. Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Depay, and Darmian. Still a couple to come in still. City have splashed huge on Sterling and are clearly just getting started. Arsenal have improved with Cech. Our preseason starts in days and all we've done is get Falcao in as a 3rd striker.
  4. I don't think Willian is an unbelievable player or anything but I think you underrate him. True, he isn't a world class player but you make him sound like he should be playing for Sunderland or something. Also, let's judge Oscar (your husband) by the same criteria you just used with Willian: Is he a great dribbler? No Is he particularly creative? No Does he score goals? Rarely Is he a big game player? No Yet you think he's this incredible player.
  5. If City can spend £50m on ONE of their targets (you know they'll sign a couple more players) it means that FFP isn't a concern for them at all. Why can't we also go out and buy a special player or two?
  6. £50m and reportedly on £200k a week. Fucking ludicrous!
  7. Hell no. That could be disastrous. Patrick needs a lower level PL loan for a season first.Would be ridiculous to sell Remy. Especially for such paltry sums that have been thrown around.
  8. Just been watching a bunch of YouTube videos of Pedro from the last few seasons. Seems like the majority of his most dangerous work and many of his goals came from the left side and with his right foot. I'd assume he'd be on our right side, though. How effective is he on that side with his left foot?
  9. Who would José drop in order for Pedro to start? That would be the only sensible reason he'd agree to come here, surely? He wouldn't trade one bench for another. I can't see Willian being dropped because he has become so valuable to the team and after José's comments about Oscar making a massive step up in his evolution this season I doubt he'd be dropped either. Only type of player I can see dislodging either of them is a superstar signing who's just miles better than either. Which Pedro really isn't.
  10. He's a good player of course, but I struggle to see where he starts in our team. He's not a significant enough upgrade to bench Oscar or Willian is he? He's not someone who will take us to a new level. As a last resort if we can't get anyone better I'd welcome him. Still holding out hope for a game changer.
  11. Terrible source judging by people I'm seeing on Twitter.Only possible way I can see it happening is if Real Madrid have their sights set of a shiny new toy that'll keep Isco out of the team even more. Vidal for example. They only seem to sell star players when a replacement is lined up.
  12. Left out of the Saints preseason squad. Move to United or Arsenal within the next couple of days obviously. Will improve anyone he goes to. We should've been in for him.
  13. Herrera can definitely control a game. I remember him bossing our midfield in the first half at home last season. Think he'll benefit the most from Schweini signing. Even more so if they also get Schneiderlin. Herrera, Schweinsteiger, and Schneiderlin with the likes of Rooney, Mata, Depay, Di Maria, Young, and Fellaini in attack. Plus a new striker to come. Won't say I'm jealous, but they'll have everything needed to push us all the way.
  14. They'll get Sterling.I'd bet on them getting KdB as well.
  15. Schweinsteiger, Depay, and Darmian all sewn up. At least 2 more signings for sure. Meanwhile, at Cobham/Stamford Bridge... *crickets*
  16. Confirmed by the Bayern president now. Again, if they keep him fit and also sign Schneiderlin they'll have a fantastic midfield. When they sign a new striker and top CB they'll have one hell of a squad. On paper anyways.
  17. He'll be 31 when the season starts and has fitness issues. Could be a good signing if he stays fit of course, but it's not like they're getting prime Schweinsteiger here like their fans seem to think judging by their excitement. Bayern wouldn't sell one of their all time greatest legends for so cheap if they felt he was still so good. Still, if they get Schneiderlin as well they'll probably have the best midfield in the league, unfortunately. Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Herrera, and Carrick to choose from. It's been reported that Van Gaal wants to use 4-3-3 this season so it'll take some doing to win the midfield battle against any combination of those three.
  18. Just what I came in here to post. Be great to actually see him play every match now.Excited to see what he can do in the PL. still think there's a (slight) chance that he can become a Chelsea player if he performs excellently in England.
  19. We aren't signing a single top player, are we?
  20. Looks far better when worn than it does in size 4x and on a hanger. Still not feeling the button-up collar.
  21. Don't think it would make any sense to sign a super expensive CB this summer. Can't see José permanently benching Cahill. Zouma would also get no opportunities at CB either. Next summer is more likely.
  22. Each and every time a report includes a specific day or date that a transfer will occur you can basically disregard it.
  23. Such a shit argument.Barca sold us Fabregas. They sold/allowed Yaya to leave. They sold Thiago recently as well who has the potential to be an unbelievable player. Real Madrid have sold the likes of Özil, Robben, and Di Maria. Guess they aren't world class because Real didn't want them anymore.
  24. Mikel is like an old sofa you can't get rid of. Linked with a move every single window but never goes.
