When both are at their best there isn't much between them. I'd take Hazard hands down, though, because he can effect a match in more ways. People always say that Reus is a better finisher (which he is) but it isn't really as big of a difference as you'd think. Hazard has scored the exact same number of league goals as Reus has. Reus did it in fewer games but Hazard is playing in a much more difficult league. Imagine having both at Chelsea...

These quotes make me a bit more confident that we'll eventually sign Stones before the end of the window. José will make him his marquee, Sterling-like signing and tell Roman and the board that the club have earned the right to splurge after all the good work they've done financially.
-
That's a laughable statement. Even coming from you who regularly posts ridiculous things.Anyways, how rich are Dortmund? Could they turn down £45-50m for Reus if a foreign club really wanted him?
-
Shaw and Sterling will lock down their respective positions for their clubs for a decade potentially. As with players like Rooney and Rio Ferdidnand, their prices were thought of as insane initially but after years of world class service they look like bargains.
-
Times have changed. They'll change even more next summer. There's an unprecedented amount of money being thrown around now. Comparing Stones' potential fee to Costa (who had a release clause or would've otherwise cost £60m) or Hazard who was leaving a tiny club in a shit league. When Shaw costs £30m and Sterling costs £50m then I don't see how £34m for Stones is so outlandish. Just the way it is now. And if we don't pay it one of our rivals will happily pay it and we look like idiots. To your point about clubs raising their asking prices when we become involved, that already happens.

Even if we lose I can't see us getting humiliated. I say this without having seen the starting XI yet.
-
He's much more polished than Zouma is currently. Much better on the ball both in possession and passing.Don't understand why you're so opposed to this signing, especially worrying so much about the money. When you see City spending £50m on a player and bidding £50m for another, who gives a shit about transfer fees anymore? FFP obviously means fuck all. Signing a CB doesn't mean we can't also sign a midfielder. If José WANTS Stones then he clearly thinks we DO need him.
-
Why not have both? Why can't we have a system that just so happens to have 2 top class CB's?I'd have Stones over any of our CB's other than Terry at this moment in time and think a Terry/Stones partnership would be unbelievable. A Cahill/Stones partnership would be fantastic as well when JT needs a rest.
-
Strikers and midfielders are a dime a dozen. A top class CB (who also happens to be only 21, English, and homegrown) is exceptionally rare.
-
Can only see him getting even better with world class superstars around him at City. That's the last place I want him going.
-
Hopefully he waits for another season and a proper big club like Bayern come in for him.
-
https://twitter.com/HLNinEngeland/status/632544435801161728 So FFP is officially done, then? Absolutely fucking ridiculous! How can they possibly spend this much?
-
Sunderland are truly diabolical. Hope this is the year they finally go down.
-
Yep. Was just as good last week too but just made that one mistake that led to the goal. He's so fucking good already at 21. Looks like he's barely exerting himself and makes it look easy and effortless. Just an elegant, modern defender who's super comfortable on the ball. No way can we afford to let him go to a rival. We MUST buy him. He'll be the best CB in the league within the next 2 years. Stop fucking around with low ball bids and get him.
-
Wonder what happens if a big club like Arsenal or United come in with a bid this window. Him and his massive ego and ambition surely wouldn't say no? After seeing Rooney stink it up in their first two matches I wouldn't be surprised if they went for him.
-
Two nice finishes, very poor defending.
-
Hopefully this is his last game for Everton.
-
Of course it's US that has to choose the one young English player who's happy enough to stay at his current club.
-
Let us hope that one last bid will be enough for him to ask to leave.
-
Unless something crazy happens like a bunch of our best players get injured for long periods then them finishing above us would be pretty embarrassing. We're stronger than they are in just about every area.
-
They obviously won't care because they got all 6 points, but United have been FAR from impressive. They were outplayed for the most part by Spuds and only an early OG saw them through and they didn't exactly beat Villa convincingly either. Villa had absolutely no quality up front to trouble them. Few things that United would have been punished for against better opposition too. Would make it pretty concerning if we remain 5 points behind them after the weekend before they've even clicked as a team.
-
United have looked totally blunt in attack for a game and a half now. Memphis has done fuck all either. He looks pretty lazy to be honest. Of course, now that I've said that they'll probably score 3 or 4.
-
Let's see if Tactics Tim will be able to steal a point from United. Doubt it.
-
They know now that money won't be an issue for them with the TV deal kicking in next season. They no longer need to sell in order to balance their books.

Think it'll be: ---------------------Costa----------------------- Hazard----------------------------------Willian -------------------Fabregas--------------------- ----------Matić--------------Zouma------------ Azpi---------Terry--------Cahill---------Ivanovic --------------------Begović----------------------
