Good. Much as I love Willian, he doesn't necessarily terrify defenders like Hazard does. We need Eden in top form to remain ahead of Spuds & City.
-
Great...
-
Unless they offered £150m there's no way Levy would sell him to United. Not with the new stadium on the way. He's their only real source for goals and without him they be nowhere near top 4.
-
So much for Everton making a late surge towards top 4. They're shocking here. No service to Lukaku, midfield slow and awful, and defenders all over the place. Alos, I just cannot stand Harry Kane. Don't know what it is about him. Maybe it's the brain dead expression he always has on his face, maybe it's the 3 sizes too small shirt he wears, I don't know...he's just annoying. Absolutely deadly finisher, though.

Everton look dreadful. I think Spuds will continue winning for the remainder of the season so we must do so as well. They're still our biggest danger I think.
-
Yep. I love him as a player but for silly money like that we could easily get Sanchez who's better anyway.
-
One of those players who's linked with moves away every year but will never leave Dortmund.
-
I don't know. Spurs are kind of a concern for me. Not in Europe anymore so can focus only on the PL. Hoping the CL causes City to fall away.
-
We should have people behind the scenes communicating with his people constantly. I think he can definitely be persuaded to come here. We go to Arsenal with a big offer (40m) and we'd get him, imo. Don't think Conte would have set, rigid positions for our attacking players with Sanchez added to the team. He, Hazard and Costa would be fluid and constantly interchanging. Hazard and Sanchez swapping sides depending on the opposition and both can even play as the most advanced attacker like Hazard is doing now on occasion. He should be our priority attacking target. Zero chance any PL side could stop that potential attack. Think he'd all but guarantee us another title.
-
Decent result for us to ensure Arsenal don't threaten us late with their annual end of season winning run, I suppose. Liverpool are so hot and cold that I'm not too concerned about them catching us. Lets hope Everton can get something against Spurs tomorrow. I expect City to hammer Sunderland about 4-0 so not even gonna bother watching that. Could be a fantastic weekend all around if we win and United, Arsenal, and Spurs all drop points.

I'd be absolutely shocked if Zlatan gets banned retrospectively.

This is a banana skin match for sure mainly because West Ham are such an unpredictable side. They can look decent one week and embarrassingly poor the next. If our defenders switch off for even a moment Lanzini and Carroll are going to get opportunities to score. That's really the only area I'm concerned about - the defense. Think we'll be fine in midfield (I'm expecting Matic to come back in as it's an away game) and I don't think they have the quality in defense to deal with our attack. All about how we deal with Carroll. We dominate midfield and starve him of service and they have basically no goal threat with Antonio suspended.
-
They looked atrocious against Watford yesterday and that was with Antonio playing. Without him we should really be easing to 3 points. I actually think Swansea in current form are a more dangerous side.
-
I honestly couldn't tell you who won the League Cup last season. That's how completely irrelevant and insignificant the trophy is. I'm seeing people calling it a "major trophy" on Twitter. Give me a break. We'll forget they even won it come the end of the season.
-
Give the man whichever targets he desires in the summer and keep hold of our key players and we'll be right in there with a chance for the CL trophy. Just imagine how good we'll be with slight upgrades in a few positions... We'll have an insane amount of money to spend, a manager who gets the best out of even average players, and the lessons learned from the last time we won the title and didn't invest. He deserves to get whichever realistic targets he requests if he delivers a title in his first season, dramatically outperforming our target of a CL place.
-
Pep described him perfectly recently: he's a killer. Fantastic scoring record for a wide player. I bet Guardiola would kill to have Pedro at City. He's what he thought he was getting with Nolito.
-
Wonderful finisher and predator in and around the box where he can just use his instincts but so frustrating when he tries to dribble or has too much time on the ball to create something. He also doesn't know when to give the ball up at times and just holds it for bloody ever.
-
I noticed that Andy Carroll didnt play today. Wonder if he'll play against us. If not, both he and Antonio would be out who are their only real goal threats. Same team as today, please!
-
I believe we have 3 matches remaining against what I would consider good sides: City, United, and Everton. Cesc should start all but those 3. We look a completely different side going forward with him on the pitch as the playmaking general. With Kante behind him just destroying everything in his sights we can afford using Fabregas against every "small" side.
-
Diego's touch and control in tight situations is indeed awful. The strange thing is that some games it's superb and others like this it can be shocking and Lukaku-like. He needs to sharpen up big time if we want to hold on to win the title.
-
Need to smother them again just like we did in the first 45 and press the hell out of them again, too. They get a couple chances on goal and we'll get sucker punched again.
-
I was just starting to type how the only negative that first half was that we didn't add another goal or two to our dominant football and then we concede in the only possible way they're scoring there. Unbelievable. Now they'll come out with belief that they can get something here when we should be out of sight.
-
FABREGAS IS FUCKING DOMINATING!!!
-
Let's fucking go. High energy, dominate the ball. Strange to say with our 8 point lead, but this is a must win game. Come on, boys!
-
At home, everyone fit and well rested, and playing a side near the bottom of the table. Normally I'd be very confident but we have to be very weary of Swansea and not think we can just breeze by them. I think we'd be in real danger of the wheels coming off if we lose this and give everyone behind us belief that we can be caught. Just please don't give away any stupid free kicks around our box, ffs. Sigurdson is such a huge threat both going for goal or aiming for the head of Llorente. We must be machine-like killers here and put them away. Hopefully Hazard and Costa can return to form.
