Exactly the sort of player we need to be targeting this summer. Extremely technical, great in tight areas, and eye for the killer ball. He and Hazard on either side of Diego would be unreal.
-
Oh my. Messi-esque dribbling!
-
Raid Monaco for Silva + Bakayoko and that's a good bit of our business in the summer done.
-
Whatever. Sorry, but if we win it "yay," nice to add another trophy. If we don't it's not like the PL or CL or even a CL place where I'd be super disappointed. If you're Arsenal or Spuds who haven't won shit in ages or United last season who went years and years without winning an FA Cup then it's a huge deal, but I'm personally pretty indifferent to the competition. The "magic" of the FA Cup is lost on me I suppose. Guess what I'm saying is the only two competition that matter to me are the PL and CL. FA Cup is nice and League Cup is meaningless.
-
Since I'm not English the FA Cup doesn't hold much significance for me so thankfully I won't be too bothered or devastated if we were to lose this. I care only about the PL title so even if we do go out we'd have only 1 competition to focus on. Saying all that, I hope we humiliate Mourinho at the Bridge again.
-
Awwww, damn. Was hoping this would be the matchup for the final and Conte could win the trophy over José at Wembley.
-
Yes, please. There'll be loads of big clubs fighting for this guy, but he's the sort of attacking player that Hazard deserves to play alongside.
-
Think I recall this lad being heavily linked with Liverpool and was highly sought after by Klopp. This tells me that he's the type of player who would excell in the PL.
-
He looks dangerous almost every time he gets forward but there must be something strange about the right side of our attack...some sort of voodoo or black magic stuff. He and Willian are the same on that side. Get to the final ball and the move falls apart.
-
Moses transformed into Antonio Valencia that match. Smacked about 30 crosses into the man marking him.
-
Terry is past it completely, sadly, Zouma has almost zero composure or technical ability on the ball, and Aké just isn't quite up to speed yet. Pedro playing like a fish out of water as a wingback. This game just goes to show you how dependent we are on Luiz and Azpi. Also shows we 100% need to target another CB with ability in the summer.
-
That we look poor at the back is understandable since there's no cohesion or understanding between that back line and keeper. That we look absolutely abysmal in attack with all of our best players out there is concerning. If they can't handle this shit Wolves side and couldn't break down Burnley it's got to be a worry for Swansea who are in great form and have been a bogey side for us for the past couple of years. Hazard and Diego in particular look dreadful.
-
Thought initially that we were going with trusty old 4-2-3-1 but then remembered that Pedro can play as a wingback. Not surprised or upset that Costa starts instead of Bats. He's been rusty these past couple of matches and needs to play himself back into form in time for Swansea. We need him back to his best with City creeping up on us.

What's most impressive is tha Bayern barely broke a sweat and still utterly dominated Arsenal. To have what felt like 80% possession against one of the best possession sides in Europe just shows how many levels above Arsenal they are. Also, man am I jealous of Bayern's midfield trio. Vidal and Thiago are so fucking good and Xabi still runs the show effortlessly at his age.
-
A bit harsh I think because he's been a solid 7 out of 10 player for most of this season with a few really good games and a few stinkers. He hasn't been so poor that he deserves to be sold ASAP but if we have aspirations of winning the CL and going for what will be an even tougher PL next season then we need an upgrade. Vidal, Matuidi, Verratti... We'll have an insane amount of cash to spend this summer and more importantly, the lessons we learned last season about not strengthening after a successful season. We need some statement of intent type signings.
-
Luiz, Matic, and Hazard should be nowhere near the starting XI for this. Luiz and Hazard because they're tired/injured and Cesc deserves to start in place of Matic in order to get in rythm. We play about 5 straight fixtures against small clubs who will play just like Burnley just did. Frustrate the hell out of us, park the bus, hit it long over and over again, and play for knock-downs and set pieces. We need Fabregas to get minutes because we'll need him.
-
After seeing that result from us and with the form City and Bournemouth are I I think City will annihilate them.
-
He's a total Jeckel and Hyde player. Can look brilliant one week and completely awful the next. I think his biggest weakness has always been his awareness. He's so clueless at times when he's on the ball. He dwells on it far too long and always lets an opponent sneak up from behind and take the ball. He also play so many stupid, blind passes that give away possession. May sound harsh because he's been solid for us, but upgrade needed in the summer if we are going to take that next step as a team.
-
Far too many players were subpar for us to get 3 points there. Hazard and Pedro were invisible in the 2nd half and Diego was poor all 90 minutes. Matic woeful, Cahill and Luiz were clearly affected by the conditions because they kept misjudging the ball. Think Kante was the only player who had a great game. A point there isn't a bad result but the teams behind us will get some encouragement from it. City especially will be smelling blood of they win tomorrow.
-
Get Matic off, ffs
-
WHAT THE FUCK ARE LUIZ AND CAHILL DOIN!!?
-
Exactly the sort of game Burnley wanted and their tactics are working. Play it long and get the knockdown in a dangerous area. Diego needs to sharpen up. His touch has been poor so far and he keeps killing attacking moves.
-
Suffocate them and score early! Oh, I'd kill for us to batter them today...
-
Expecting a very choppy, stop-start kind of match. They'll try to do everything they can to stop us playing so I think it'll be ugly. Praying we play like we did against Arsenal where we dominated rather than how we did against the West Broms or Hull's of recent times where we allow average sides to stay in the game.
-
Fantastic result so long as we capitalize. This should fire us up even more hopefully.
