The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the club intentionally didn't mention anything about his rumored injury as to not take the shine off his signing right away. You hear nothing but "Chelsea signed a fuxking crock," from everyone. Instead we'll quietly mention it in a few day when he links up fully with the squad.

As long as a striker is in great physical condition and can clearly still play at an elite level for a few more years I don't care about their age. It's why I would take Aguero no questions asked if it were possible even though he's just about 30. I mean, we just saw a 35 year old Zlatan easily play in the PL and could comfortably do so for another couple of seasons if he hadn't picked up that freak injury.

What's more annoying is every article related to Chelsea claiming how angry Conte is with everything or how he's fuming at this or fuming at that. They make him sound like he's the Incredible Hulk rampaging around Cobham 24/7.

All the stuff I'm seeing from journalists that actually cover City say there's no chance. It's a non starter. Unlike the Alexis Sanchez situation, Aguero has no real reason to leave City. Unless Pep sees Jesus as the first choice #9, I suppose.

Conte's system and coaching made Victor Moses look class in a title winning side. In a position he was t even familiar with before last season. Don't see why anyone would be against this. If he doesn't return to his Porto quality then at least we'd have decent cover at RWB. If he does, we have a big upgrade on Moses. It's a bit of a "no lose" situation in my eyes.

Injury prone I agree with. Don't agree with the others. He's still miles better than Jesus, imo. When fit he's still world class and the best striker in the league. Can score world class goals with his head, his feet, great in the box, great from long distance, and draws lots of fouls in great positions. Man City would be unbelievably stupid to sell him to us. He'd be the focal point of our team whereas at City under Pep they like playing slow, tippy tappy football and try to walk the ball in the net. Aguero would win us the title.

I agree with people saying he says a cunt. One of those players you despise when he's against you but would love him on my team. Pep would be an idiot to even consider selling him here which is why it won't happen. But if we pulled off the impossible and signed him and he can stay fit for the majority of the season we're winning the league again. Aguero + Hazard would be like playing with cheats.

Not sure that matters as Mahrez isn't a RWB. It's Willian and Pedro he'd have to beat out. Or maybe play on the left when Hazard needs a rest or is injured.

I'd take him without a doubt but wonder if he'd want to come here where there are already 2 quality players in his position. He can probably go to a club that's a level or two below us and be the main man and lock down a starting spot.

I know Just not sure if he and Mendy know each other well. Mendy and Baka seem to be great friends and I think I've seen pics of Bats and Mendy hanging out together as well. Having Hazard, Courtois, Kante, Baka, and Bats who all speak French could help him easily settle here. Even David Luiz speaks fluent French from his time in Paris.

I think he's certainly going to City at this point but if we came in with a late offer I'd imagine he'd seriously consider it. Lots of French speakers here including some of his friends like Baka, Michy, and I would assume Kante. I'm sure any player would prefer London to Manchester. He probably won't make the £150k a week City will offer in desperation but he'll make good money. Alex Sandro clearly isn't happening now and Mendy is probably the next best available.

I won't start worrying about the striker situation until we actually start the PL season. If we haven't signed our new marquee #9 by then I'll start shitting it. Would be better to have them get a good preseason in, but if he's a top class player he should be able to adjust quickly.

Reading around just about all our rivals forums and they almost all think Baka is a bum basically and that Fabinho is much better. Because Conte would've asked the club to pay £40m and make him our undisputed #1 midfield target if he was shite. We could've easily signed Fabinho if we wanted him.

He looks massive in the video the club posted! Poor N'Golo can't catch a break with his midfield partners!
