They don't really have a glaring weakness at the moment. They have a couple of areas that the other top sides can target (Blind, Jones if he keeps his place, and using pace against Matic) but against these smaller sides like West Ham, Swansea, and basically every side below the top 6-7 they'll probably dominate. The talent gap is colossal. Their starting XI isn't any more impressive than City/Spurs/Chelsea/Arsenal but with the way Mou sets his teams out tactically is what makes them scary.

They're now 6 points and +9 goal difference ahead of us after just 2 matches...

Matic is once again dominating and controlling this game just as he did last week. United so fortunate to have such an easy opening set of fixtures to ease him in. He looks like he's been there for years already.

I think Hazard and Bakayoko returning and being nearly ready have eased his mind a bit. Or he's just accepted that it's very unlikely more quality is coming in and has come to grips with it.

Doubt (hope) Hazard isn't risked for this. It'll likely be a fiery, physical match where he'd be targeted. I'd keep him out a bit longer.

We've left it so late that clubs either won't sell their best players due to not having time to adequately replace them or we'll just have to pay way more than a player is worth.

Not when they're bankrolled by actual countries like City and PSG. They've literally got infinite money. But smaller, midtable sides like Everton being able to spend £45m on an average player or small clubs like Southampton or Leicester being able to ask tens of millions for their players now is the most staggering thing. In order to compete for the title in the PL going forward you'll almost be required to spend mega money every summer.

£40m for Deinkwater is about as laughable as £45m for Siggurdson. Think about the class of player you could've bought just a few short years ago for this amount. Staggering how out of control things have gotten.

He's a decent player so I wouldn't be super upset if we sign him but I think we should be aiming slightly higher. Especially since the reported price tags on Cancelo and Aurier aren't even high.

At this point I'm so desperate for quality that I'd gladly take a punt on Aurier. If he can be kept under control we'd have one of the best RB's in the league and for a relative bargain when you see what Walker and Mendy went for. Unlike Costa, I don't think Aurier literally has mental issues. He's just an immature kid. Under a manager who takes no shit like Conte I think he can be turned into a top player.
