Most of our players are technically sound when they're in space but when they're pressed tightly they struggle. Only Willian and Kova are excellent under close pressure. Pulisic gets bowled over often and both Mount and Tammy regularly have loose touches. If we buy an attacker this month they need to be excellent in that regard. I know people here don't care much for him, but Zaha is one of those players.

Such a terribly sloppy, slow, laborious half. We win the ball back over and over and almost immedietly give it away. Willian, Tammy, and Mount can't get involved at all because the ball is given away time and again. This is why Kovacic is necessary. We need someone to keep the ball and do something with it in tight spaces. We're just giving Brighton more and more confidence that they can get something.
-
Ref already given two fouls on our players for simply being stronger than the Brighton player.
-
It seems like of the 3 Lamps thinks Mount is the one who is indespensible. I think it's Kova personally. I think we'll miss him in there again today.
-
Will our lads have learned their lesson or will yet another small team with a fraction of our talent press us and bully us? For the love of God, please don't ruin another week, Chelsea! Also, Azpi is already awful going forward on the right. Now he's on the left again where he'll be on his weaker foot. How shit must Lamps feel Emerson is if he'd rather a RB start over him?
-
Obviously, but that doesn't usually stop the English journalists from linking the big clubs with everyone under the sun. For instance, I haven't seen José's Spuds or the injury ravaged Arsenal linked with anyone and we know for a fact they need players.
-
Speaking of John Stones, wtf happened to him!? He was talked up as the next big thing and I know he's been injured, but I feel like I haven't heard his name mentioned in like a year. Anyways, it's kind of weird that there aren't strong transfer links for any of the top clubs in the PL. I don't see all the outlets and journalists buzzing with much speculation at all. Just the odd loose link. All of City, Arse, United, Spuds, and ourselves have some glaring holes that need addressed. Usually this is silly season but it feels like nothing is happening.

I'd still be happy with Zaha in Chelsea blue. Dembele makes zero sense, though.
-
He just doesn't seem good enough nor different enough to be a player we should be after. I trust Frank, though.
-
😂😂😂 Talk about a fall from the top!
-
Just watching Dembele on YouTube. Sorry, but he doesn't look anything special. Also doesn't make sense to bring in a striker with such a similar skill set as Tammy. He just looks like your standard #9. Any striker we bring in needs to be completely different and be able to do more than just be a target man.
-
Could be another Chelsea special akin to Kante or Costa if we could snag Werner for a tiny release clause. I'd rather him than the more sought after Haaland as he's more versatile.
-
The only thing Isco and Zaha have in common are that they're both attacking players. Isco just doesn't suit our style of play at all.
-
Not like Dortmund spent mega money on Halaand and now need to balance the books by selling Sancho. They spend peanuts on him apparently. Don't see why people on Twitter are going crazy.
-
Lamptey seriously looks like he's 9 years old! Like one of the little mascots won a chance to play for Chelsea or something. 😂👏🏻

VAR has fucked me up so much that I didn't react at all when Jorginho scored. Just sat there completely stone faced thinking "there's no way Arse allowed him that much space so there had to have been a foul." But wow, Jorginho turned the game on its head when he came on. Ran the show from that moment on. Arse made us look like a pub side for the first 25 minutes but we controlled the 2nd half and they didn't really get a sniff.
-
WHY. ARE. WE. SO. BAD. AT. CORSSING!!!!!?
-
With Tomori and Azpi as our second half fullbacks, I don't see how we're going to cause much trouble going forward and with both out of position defensively, I can't see us stopping them scoring again.
-
Zero chance. Even if we finish 10th Frank will not be sacked in his first season.
-
So that's now 2 games within a few days where Frank has got it completely wrong with the back 3 and then we instantly look better when we change back. It should only ever be used either very, very rarely from the start of a match (like breaking it out as a surprise against Spuds) or as a late game switch to close out a match where we are ahead. None of our 3 CB's are good enough on the ball to play it regularly and our fullbacks (Alonso apart) are hopeless when the onus is on them to use the bal effectively.
-
The worst Arsenal side in a decade is taking the absolute piss out of us. Let that sink in. Look at that back 4 they have and we can't even get the goddamn ball into the final third, much less threaten the goal.
-
How many times have we seen this exact same pattern this season? Opponent playing with much higher energy than us, winning every tackle, pressuring every one of our players forcing us to give the ball away. Over and over and over again. It's far, FAR too easy to completely knock us off our game and we simply do not come back from losing positions under Frank.
-
Cannot deal with teams pressing us at all. We're so fucking soft. Look completely rattled AGAIN.
-
Set piece defending again. Unreal.
-
Wonder how Jorginho feels about being dropped against the big teams now. Actually think he'd have been very useful against Arsenal's midfield. You know Özil's lazy ass wouldn't have pressed him.
