Genuinely surprised that we didn't make a single change from the team that finished the Wolves match. Thought for sure Frank would want to get a few others 90 minutes of CL football. Pulisic and Pedro could use the minutes.

So frustrating that we continue to pick up important injuries. Seems that each time we get one player back another goes out. Hopefully Rüdiger and Emerson are back by next weekend because they make a huge difference. I think we pretty much have to play with the back 3 again until Emerson is back because it's the only formation Alonso can play effectively in. Guessing we'll see a much different side here than we did against Wolves. Think Giroud, Pulisic, Barkley, and Pedro all come in. Kante will probably be on the bench and hopefully held out for the weekend.

Having only watched a bit of Mount when he was on loan I knew we would be getting a tidy, hard working and decent player. I was not expecting him to be as good as he is technically. He's awesome on the ball and goes past defenders with ease. To add to his ability on the ball he also has a tremendous nose for goal. What a stable of midfielders we have on our books!

So, so strange to watch a Chelsea team that can score and create chances for fun while being as leaky as a torpedoed ship. It's like the opposite of what we've been for years. Hope Rüdiger is good. His presence and recovery pace was great.

Kova in this form is incredible. Absolutely bossing this game!
-
Just by having more numbers back there we theoretically should be more secure defensively so that's a good thing I guess. I just worry about our attackers being more isolated. Not big on Mason starting out wide, either.

What the fuck...
-
Just noticed that this match isn't even televised here in America for some stupid reason. Now I have to watch a medicore quality stream...
-
My expectations for tomorrow are now at rock bottom. Another L on the way I fear.
-
No Kante against one of the best counter attacking teams in the league at their place. 😔 This could get ugly if our midfield play like shit.
-
I fucking hate international football. FUCK OFF! Thats us fucked for who knows how long with that snail Alonslow hauling his ass around the pitch like an ocean cruise liner.
-
The dream is finally dead.
-
Fucking woooow. Get a couple back from injury and then lose another. Kova has been excellent this season, too. Why was he even cleared to go on international duty?! Came off with a knock at the weekend and should've been kept back as a precaution. *Sigh* Guess that means more Barkley in the starting XI. 😩

Spuds have just invited this in the second half. Completely losing the midfield battle.
-
Arse are so, so fortunate that they were able to basically sneak in and sign both Lacazette and Auba when no other big club was after them. Perfect storm of timing. Neither would look out of place at the very best teams and I'd love either of them here. They can play like total ass and be bailed out consistently with just one sniff from one of those two forwards. Auba kills you on the counter or in open space while Lacazette has that Aguero-like ability to find perfect little pockets of space around the box and finish in all sorts of ways. Jealous as hell of those two.
-
You literally could not make it up when it comes to Arse in big games against the big 6. Just a mind numbingly stupid and naive team, no matter who the manager.
-
They look as though they've taken a step back from last season so far. Commentator suggested today that their EL fixtures are effecting them. With their best CB now suspended, that should help us a bit. But Wolves are the prototype side if you want to play against us effectively. Loads of pacey, athletic players in wide areas, a couple of great long ball midfielders, and a striker who presses constantly and will pounce on mistakes at the back in Jimenez. I fear that if Kante and Rüdiger aren't back and fully fit in 2 weeks time Wolves will beat us.
-
Wolves' best CB Boly was just shown a red in the final 10 seconds of this game and will now miss the game against us after the international break.
-
Unlike Man United who have been shite but are stuck with a thin squad, at least we have loads of injured and quality players to come back. So there is quite a bit of optimism. Because we DESPERATELY need Kante and Rüdiger in particular to be back at the same time and for an extended period of full fitness. They'll make a tremendous difference. I know it's not fair to pile tremendous pressure on a kid, but Reece James is really needed as well. Even if he makes a mistake here and there, he's got pace and crazy athleticism to recover unlike Azpi.
-
The most embarrassing thing you can say about that is that we allowed Sheffield fucking United to come in to Stamford Bridge and totally dictate the game in the second half. Think about that. A newly promoted side came in and they forced US to adapt to them rather than the other way around. We couldn't do ANYTHING with the ball in that second half. Against a side that doesn't have a single player who would make our squad and after being 2-0 up! Azpi, I love him, I finished as a starter every week. Beaten easily for both goals. Sad to see, but he's a liability.
-
This may very well be up there with Bournemouth last season as the most embarrassing result I've ever seen.
-
This has somehow been even worse than that Leicester 2nd half a couple weeks ago. Just shocking.
-
Jesus fucking Christ! We must have a pass completion of about 10%! WHAT ARE WE DOING!?
-
Now 20 minutes in and we still haven't woken up. So bloody frustrating. We can't keep the ball in their half to save our lives.
-
Seriously, what's happened to Azpi? From world class rock defensively to getting spanked regularly. He's a total liability now!
