Honestly, I think a big part of the appeal for Hazard is the fact that he won't have to shoulder so much of the load anymore. It won't have to be "give it to Hazard and hope for some magic." Life will be much easier for him there. He'll finally be surrounded by players of his ability and for a side that will show up on the pitch 99% of the time as the vastly superior team. They'll probably completely refresh their attack this summer and be competing for the Liga title.

Looks quite embarrassing for the club to have made Eden the star of the new media campaign. Face of the new kit launch, plastered all over the outside of the Bridge in the new kit, etc. They've known he wants out for a while. Hell, so did he so I wonder why he'd agree to do it.

His mind was made up after the World Cup when he came out with those initial "it's been a wonderful 6 years..." quotes. Think he would've gone then if it weren't too late in the window. Oh well. Pleasure to watch him for all these years and good luck to him. I expect he'll dominate in La Liga even more so than he did here. Must be an exciting prospect for him to play for his dream club under his boyhood hero. Hopefully the club don't allow us to fade into midtable mediocrity after they sell him.

I just hope the club are exploring some of Real Madrid's other players that may be off and not just using Kovacic as a bargaining chip. Haven't there been rumblings of the futures of Kroos and Modric being uncertain? I'd love either here. They're after Pogba apparently.

It's always a risk, but he's got the perfect skill set for the PL. He seems like the complete center forward. Good in the air, good with his feet, he's got that powerful, stocky build like Aguero that can sustain the physicality. He's also good with both feel and can score from distance. Really not many options out there. I just don't want us to take any more punts on oldies who are past it.

Expecting a repeat of that cryptic shot he said a while ago. "I've made my decision and will talk about it after the final." Though it wouldn't shock me if he came right out and said he's going.

Thing is, if we're able to sign players this summer there's a chance we can take a massive leap in quality. Just 3 signings in a few key areas and we're a different animal. That's what I'm holding out hope for. If his rumored move to Real Madrid isn't done yet, we should be going all out trying to make Luka Jovic our next #9. That would immedietly elevate us a level. Add a new top class wide player and top class fullback and we can compete with City and Liverpool.

If Sarri is fine with having a striker that scores once in a blue moon I'd just assume we recall Tammy or Bats. At least they be desperate to impress and offer more in open play. Higuain scores the occasional class goal but is infuriating to watch almost every time he receives the ball. Looks chunky as hell again, too.

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 CAS, you're our only hope. If for no other reason than so we don't have to ever see Higuain, Kovacic, Willian, etc in a Chelsea shirt next season. Imagine Higuain leading our line for an entire season. With no Hazard and the same stale team around him. 😩

Kinda sucks that City now have more titles than us. 😒

I think Pedro has misplaced every pass he's made today. Second utter shocker from him in as many weeks.

Our players look like they're already on holiday. Pretty pathetic effort, this.

Sort of a preview of what we'll be like post Hazard if we don't get a freeze on the transfer ban. Average players like Willian, Pedro, and Alonso running around being totally ineffectual. We simply have a whole bunch of players who turn up once in every 5 matches. The rest of the time they're midtable standard.

We as fans despise Spurs and would love to see us finish above them. But I'm not sure this particular Chelsea team has the mentality that cares that much. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Not that finishing 3rd instead of 4th matters anymore, but our last match here will likely be much trickier than Spuds'. They're playing Everton who I think I read will be without about 4 of their best players. This being Leicester's final match and it being at home they'll want to put on a show and they'll be really up for it. Wouldn't surprise me if our lads just go through the motions today since there isn't much to play for.

Yeah, I know. And he seems grumpy every time he's subbed out as well. Wonder if he's fine with this same bench role again next season.

Wonder how much pressure Sarri will be under to throw him straight into the XI considering how much we payed for him. To pay £60m or whatever it was for a bench rider would be madness. Guess a lot depends on Willian. Pedro seems okay with being a squad player but Willian doesn't seem so keen. Especially since he knows he could move to another big club.

I really like Phil Coutinho's game but I don't think he's a wide player. He's best right behind the striker. Seeing as Sarri doesn't deploy a traditional #10 I don't think we'd even consider moving for him, and certainly not at the prices being thrown around. Barca will have to take a massive loss to dump him. He's got Man United panic buy written all over him.

I don't even think they use the Hazard money on a direct replacement. Pulisic will replace Eden, Willian/Pedro for the right side, and Sarri will use Barkley as an emergency LW backup like he did a couple of times this season.

I'd be fine with giving him a new deal if it meant he wasn't a nailed on starter. But we all know he will be. 😔 Guess that probably rules out bringing in a new CB. Maybe Zouma will indeed return instead.

If I was confident the club would reinvest the Hazard money in a player capable of becoming world class I'd actually be pretty excited to see what the post-Hazard era is like. But knowing our club they'll be thinking Pulisic is the Hazard replacement and that Willian & Pedro are enough.

I think the only players in our XI that should be 100% safe going into next season are the midfield 3 of Kante/Jorginho/RLC, Rüdiger and Kepa. Hazard is going and I'd happily see everyone else either be sold or made permanent squad players. As sad as it is to see with two of our fan favorites, Luiz and Azpi have declined dramatically this season. Players like Willian and Pedro should also be bench players as they would for any of the other top clubs. If we can sign players we need a striker, at least 1 new fullback, we need a commanding, ball playing CB, we need a Hazard replacement, and maybe another midfielder. That Sarri says we need maybe 1 or 2 new players is scary as fuck.

Jorginho's quality on the ball is well known. Past few games and today again he has been ridiculous at winning the ball back and playing out from deep. Big strides next season for him.

Kepa and Jorginho were fantastic. Everyone else was horrific after halftime. Pedro and Azpi may have played their worst ever matches for Chelsea.
