No chance of that happening, though. The club clearly love him and see him as one of our future poster boys.
-
He's good enough to be a cog in an already good attack. He's not good enough yet to be the main man who we depend on for goals. Big time Lukaku at Man United vibes from him today. Touch like a brick wall, body control like a little kid who suddenly took control of an adults body.
-
Just not true. He was awesome when he first came here and was one of my favorite Chelsea players. He was a beast. Not until this season has he started repeatedly making schoolboy errors.
-
We need to go out and get an on-pitch general of a CB. A proper captain. VVD instantly became their general who organizes the whole team. Maguire became captain of United as soon as he came in and they keep clean sheet after clean sheet. We need a commanding, beast of a CB or we will be like Wenger's Arsenal or Rodgers's Liverpool next season scoring for fun but also conceding for fun. And you can't win the title doing that.
-
Rudiger is such a gutting disappointment. I honestly thought he was one of the best CB's in the league before he got that big injury pre EL final. He had all the physical tools and ability on the ball to be our JT successor. He has regressed massively this season and regularly commits David Luiz esque errors and gets whipped for pace which never used to happen.

I think the best we can hope for now is 4th when I look at our run in. United will finish 3rd. It's an all out battle between ourselves, Wolves, Leicester for 4th. Maybe even Arse and Spuds who are both suddenly picking up wins. We have the worst defense out of all of them so you can't say we're favorites.
-
Antonio isn't even a natural CF. He isn't tall or good in the air. Yet he won seemingly every ball played long to him even with AC or Rudiger man marking him. That's completely unacceptable. VVD or Maguire dominate in those scenarios. VVD in particular would've totally shit those situations down. Our CB's BOTH get bullied by him.
-
In good form, opponent in dreadful form and haven't scored a goal since the restart, results go our way with a chance to go 3rd to hold off two rampant chasing side behind us. And we totally shit the bed in the most embarrassing way possible with amateur hour defending on all 3 goals. And how can we have ANY confidence at all that anything will change in games to come? None. Every team knows they have us on toast if they get corners, set pieces, or quick turnovers. We better pray that City's ban is upheld and that Wolves and Leicester slip up.
-
We won't finish top 4 now. Not with this calamitous defense. It's done. Wolves and United can both defend. We can't. Done. And we deserve it.
-
Is Jorginho injured?
-
This is such a typical Chelsea game this season. Playing a horrendous relegation area side in dreadful form and hand them gifts on a plate over and over. Commentator said West Ham haven't won a game when conceding first in 22 matches. Then Chelsea comes to town.
-
I'm speechless, honestly. We have the worst defense in the top half.
-
Why is our shortest defender defending the far post on corners against a midfielder that's way taller than him? Why? That's coaching. Azpi was beaten for their first goal and they did the exact same thing there and Azpimis defending it again and gets beaten.
-
EVERY. FUCKING. SETPIECE. Every one we look like we've never worked on it in training. How is that seriously possible at this level of the game?! Rudiger looked like his brain turned off there, too. Unreal.
-
Rudiger???????????????? ANOTHER CORNER!!!!!!
-
Just embarrassing from Azpi. Our fucking captain doing that...
-
More humiliating defending at a set piece. What in the FUCK was that!?
-
Barkley is totally not suited to a game like this either. His touch and ability in tight spaces is wank.
-
When teams set up like this (massive block of bodies behind the ball) you can't play walking pace football like we so often do. One of our biggest issues this season.
-
These are the sorts of games and opponents Tammy sucks against. Zero space so he can't get involved at all. Has he had a single touch?
-
Wow, the serial big game bottlers Everton managed to win a big game. Lets not fuck it up, then! Which would be typical!
-
Have to just assume Frank doesn't want to change up the midfield that has done well since the resumption and that's why Jorginho can't get back in. I hope he isn't being frozen out. Been one of our best players this season. I would've started him, but I suppose it makes sense not to now that I think about it because West Ham will surely set up to counter attack us.
-
I wonder which dreadful Wet Spam player who hasn't scored in months will pull off a once in his life worldie tonight. In all seriousness, I wonder if we'll see Jorginho from the start finally. Go for as much midfield control and ball dominance as possible with he, Kova, and Kante?
-
One thing is for sure, with the progress ourselves and United are making under our managers and with the buys (and prospective buys) we're making, there's surely no way Liverpool will have it as easy next season. It should be extremely competitive at the top of the table. Both Chelsea and United are only 2-3 more players away from mounting a challenge to Liverpool and City. And honestly, Liverpool are going to need to reinforce their attack because they can't just assume Salah and Mané are going to luck out and not get injured for a whole season again. As dominant as they've been they're a lot more vulnerable than people care to admit. An extended injury to Mané, Salah, or VVD and they aren't nearly as strong.
-
Spot on. I've watched AWB plenty of times this season and he's been a donkey going forward. Looks almost like Kante when he's near the box when he's in possesion. Like he's not quite sure what the do with the ball. Its a perfectly fine trade off for a player to be poor going forward as long as they're world class defensively. It's what Azpi has been for years.
