Yep, and if you watch his YouTube highlights that ball is basically his signature move. He executes that pass perfectly time and again. Now imagine Pulisic or Werner getting on the end of that pass. Mouthwatering.

Playing Ziyech centrally in our team seems like it'd be a total waste of his most dangerous assets. Probably 90% of teams we'll be playing against will pack their entire team in low blocks surrounding their box right in the area where he'd be if we played him centrally. Perhaps in more open games against the big teams where we have more space he can play there but I hope Lampard is primarily going to use him on the right.

Ziyech will have a better season than Sancho. We don't need him anymore. If Havertz doesn't happen invest that cash at the back or maybe even Oblak if that's remotely possible.

Meh. They looked hopeless and barely touched the ball up until the VVD mistake. They probably don't have the funds to buy all the necessary players to compete. Don't see them getting near the top 4 once again next season.

If we are indeed even after Havertz and the rumors haven't all been bullshit, I wonder what the alternatives are if we can't land him? His profile is pretty damned unique when you think about it. Or would we just say forget it and dump all that money elsewhere, I wonder.

I truly cannot even remember who won the FA Cup just 2 years ago. That's how quickly the memory of that trophy leaves my mind. We miss out on the CL and it hurts us for years. We go full strength and fatigue our players (thus harming our CL hopes) for a trophy people will forget about in a year just isn't worth it in my eyes.

Attack and midfield performance were very lethargic but honestly, I'm not super pissed overall. I think our defense had to make only 1 important tackle the whole match so I suppose that's an improvement. Thought Willian and Pulisic looked completely gassed as the match wore on which is why our attacking play really suffered. Honeslty, fuck the FA Cup. I would heavily rotate for that one. Put out a competetive side, yes, but the last 2 PL matches are far, far more important. We need Willian and Pulisic as fresh as possible.

Giroud has maybe been our most important player since the restart after Pulisic. He may fluff a few chances with clumsy footwork, but he is a true focal point. If he were 5 years younger he'd be our undisputed starting #9 next season.

Norwich have look hopelessly disorganized and all over the shop all season long. Now they look like an excellently drilled side as soon as they play us in a game that's meaningless to them.

Makes sense if he a smart kid. If you are 28 or something then CL football might be the deal breaker. But at 21 it should be all about a long term project and development. Chelsea is the perfect place to come and be a part of a club back on the up with a great mix of experience and youth. CL footy is a bonus.

I seriously don't know what I'd do if we somehow drop points tomorrow or lose. Is Maddison done for the season? If so I think they could legit lose all 3. Sheff United and Spuds are so inconsistent that you never know which side will show up, but I could easily see Leicester losing to both of those. And then it's United on the last day which, if it still means anything by then, you'd back United to win.

We now pray for ourselves to handle business and for the Leicester collapse to continue. Our boys have to summon a couple of Herculean efforts against Liverpool and Wolves and hope like hell that we catch them out of sorts.
