Thiago is an annoyingly fantastic signing for Liverpool and one who makes them easily the heavy title favorite. If they weren't already. Can see them performing similarly to last season where they only lose a few times the whole year assuming they stay fit. He adds a new dimension to their team and allows them to play in a different way. I'm just glad he went to a team that's already dominant rather than United who he would've taken up several levels.

Finally, the elusive beast has been spotted! Could see Frank waiting one more week to throw him in. May feel tossing him in against that front 3 having only trained a couple of times just a bit too soon.

Dele is barely good enough to start for Spuds (and probably wouldn't if Lo Celso was fit) so it's crazy if Real Madrid wants him. He's absolutely bang average. He's a midtable caliber player.

Bale's highly athletic, explosive playing style means he's always going to get injured. He'd be a decent punt for Spuds but I can't see him reigniting his form from years ago. I'm sure he'll score a few awesome free kicks that make the British press soil their trousers, though.

I don't think Mendy is being thought of as a stopgap at all. The €25m we'll pay for him isn't massive, but that's decent money for a keeper. If we wanted a stopgap we'd have gone for someone like Ben Foster or something. If Mendy does well he's our long term solution.

I'd prefer to see Callum on the right than Kai. Let Havertz be involved more in the buildup and using his through-ball vision from the middle. With runners like Callum and Werner either side or in front of him he can be more influential. Let's him keep his game simple until he gets up to speed.

Lamps is going to have a hell of a hard time deciding who will partner Silva. We know he really fancies AC (and tbf he was excellent today) and Zouma has been great for a while now. Rüdiger gets a lot of hate but I want to see him get a shot as well.

Well, that was dire. As a team we looked miles and MILES away from sharpness. Werner and the two CB's were the only ones who looked up to scratch so far. We desperately need these new players fit ASAP. Play like that a week from now and we'll lose by a handful.

The Ziyech injury is huge as it forces us to play mediocre RLC. We'd probably be pinning them in and forcing them to sit deeper with him on the right and Kai in the center. Ruben offers no real threat. Pulisic and Chilwell marauding down the other side will be a dramatic difference as well. Alonso is useless in a back 4 and Mount is wasted out wide.
