This just seems like such a silly link for me. The equivalent of saying "Chelsea is interested in Neymar," or "Chelsea is interested in Mbappe." Just an impossible transfer due to the money involved.

Having the base of our midfield being Rice + one of Kante, Jorginho, or Billy would be immense. And if we are indeed after Rice I pray it's as a DM. It's where he has played for all but 1 of West Ham's games since the restart. He looked mediocre in defense but has looked great in midfield.
-
I think Barkley's future is more at stake than Ruben's. Havertz is what Barkley was always hyped up to be since he was a teenager. I could see Barkley staying until January and then moving then if he doesn't get many games. And I think we could milk quite a large fee from a midtable side like West Ham. Hell, maybe even this summer as part of a deal for Declan Rice.

Oh, wow! Now that's an update I like to wake up to! If it's true that he has spoken to Frank, it's almost in the π Ornstein says in his tweet that there may be "a short wait in case of other options" or something like that, so I'm guessing he's giving Real Madrid and maybe City one last chance? Either way, it seems now like it's just a matter of how we pay (structure of add-ons) now.
-
I know he's had a few howlers this season (like every keeper will once in a while) but what do you guys think about a cheeky bid for DDG this summer? Their fans all think it's time to move on from him with Dean Henderson waiting in the wings. Several high profile pundits and former players think they should move on. I think if we went to them with a reasonable offer we could nab him. Still only 29 so young for a keeper and still world class when focused and in form. I'd have him in a heartbeat.
-
Same for Arse. Let's see how Arteta manages them with EL to deal with as well.
-
Wolves will not make it easy for us by any means on the final day. Would be an unreal feeling to somehow get 3 points against Liverpool so we don't have to shit ourselves going into Wolves.
-
Hopefully that's a dagger that demoralizes Leicester.
-
Pinning my hopes on a club famous for bottling it to not bottle it is torture. For the love of God, Spuds. Don't fuck this up!
-
Said it a couple days ago and I'll say it again now, Arse will get nowhere near the top 4 next season. These two fantastic results (getting battered in both but still winning) are great for them, but they are a million miles away from being a top team. And they're skint just like Spuds so will only be able to slightly improve their team. City, United, and ourselves will be considerably stronger next season. Arse will be a bit better.
-
Pep must be going supernova inside. At this rate he may spunk City's entire budget on defenders. π
-
Atleti isn't even a massive, globally supported club. And LΓ‘ Liga payouts aren't nearly what PL payouts are, right? How can a club pay wages like that then?
-
Jesus. I didn't know Atleti could pay those sorts of wages. I always thought of them as sort of a medium sized club like Spuds that pay decent wages but nothing crazy like the very big clubs do.
-
Oblak is impossible. And after a mega outlay on one failed keeper I doubt we'd ever do that again. People need to get Oblak out of their hands. Even if we did want him he's at the absolute perfect club right now under the perfect manager. Doubt he has any desire to leave. Just go for Onana. Ajax are an easy club to negotiate with and he'd cost a fraction of Oblak.
-
Cantwell has midtable mediocrity written all over him. Everton or Wet Spam will probably buy him. I think Grealish is overrated as hell too and if he goes to a top club he'll be decent at best.
-
I watched Mourinho's pre-Leicester press conference and he seems ultra motivated to win their last 2 matches and get a Europa spot. Like, he seems borderline desperate for his club to get a EL spot because he thinks it'll be fantastic for their development. He says that he has been really hammering home how massive 3 points would be for them in training. With Leicester's injuries and with the pressure they'll be under, let us hope that serial bottlers Tottenham can squeak one out for us. We need a Mourinho miracle! ππΌ
-
If 2-3 of these players we're linked with come off I certainly think we'll be a title contender next season. Not the favorite, not even the second favorite, but I'd back us to finish within single digit points of the eventual champion. A genuine threat. With the caliber of players the top teams are buying and linked with, I don't think there's any chance any team pulls out of sight of the pack like Liverpool have done. And if Liverpool don't invest a bit and freshen up their team they could take a step back.
-
I know. π Just gotta hope the Scouse bastards are still out of sorts like they have been lately and that the Wolves players are down having been ruled out of the CL running.
-
Really kinda fucking sad that in no scenario we have been discussing as possible do any of us give us a chance against Liverpool. We're basically all just inking that in as a loss. Which is fair considering our defense. We need our lads to summon the spirit of Napoli/Barca/Bayern 2012 for these last two matches. ππΌππΌππΌ
-
Rodgers apparently confirmed that Maddison and Chilwell are done for their last two matches. So if we can get a Mourinho special and United beat them on the final day we'll be good.
-
No chance am I having OGS as a better manager than Frank. Ole has been there longer and spent an absolute fortune adding to his side this season. And they're STILL behind us, however small that gap is. I don't think it's even fair to really properly compare them until the end of next season when Frank has his own signings in. OGS definitely deserves credit for his buys and for getting them very organized defensively, but that's what happens when you buy some of the most expensive defenders out there.
-
I'll hold my hand up and remind you that I really wanted him. Thank fuck our club were smart enough to shy away. He has been shocking this season. Think a big part of that is because he has been angry that a big move didn't come off, but still. Massive bullet dodged.
-
I haven't bothered watching United for weeks now because they've been nearly automatic. Won't start today. We have to hope the good Mou/Spuds show up now rather than the shocking one. If Leicester win that I think it's over for us.
-
Mourinho was already complaining that his players were spent during their game yesterday. So watch those bottlers allow Leicester to beat them this weekend. Its not panic time yet. But it will be if Leicester beat Spuds. Because United and Leicester will 100% play for a draw and fuck us on the last day.
-
Every small team treats us like their cup final. They unfortunately can't summon those levels every match. Bastards.
