There's going off the boil and then there's this. Two utterly SHOCKING performances in a row against teams missing key players. We look totally out of ideas and that's compounded by nearly our entire team woefully out of form suddenly. Werner in particular has been horrendous and looks shattered. We are in serious trouble during this winter period now. Who would've thought that after the Sevilla match. This is awful. How do we go from the Leeds and Sevilla performances where we looked incredible to this!? I think we'll struggle to make top 4 now.

Pulisic, Chilwell, and Mount were dominating in the first half. Now this half they've all barely touched the ball in the Wolves half. WTF are we doing?
-
Both fullbacks embarrassed there...
-
You look at how Son plays at Spuds. Very similar skill set as Timo. Why does it seem like whenever Son receives the ball he is in acres of space to run into and get shots away whilst Werner never does? Is it due to teams being terrified of Kane in the middle and are drawn to him? I just don't get it. Why are we struggling so badly to involve him?

That's a ridiculous header from Zouma! So unlucky. Its so fucking weird and highly concerning that we can't even create opportunities for Werner, nevermind have him scoring. Not getting him in channels, not getting him isolated 1v1, not getting him on the shoulder of the defenders to spin in behind. Nothing. The entire reason we bought Havertz and Werner was to get the former on the ball in the middle with the latter running in behind. And we're not doing it at all. We didn't look bad at all in attack that half but it's nowhere near good enough. Lots of half chances only.
-
It was clearly the gameplan as the commentator said to overload the left side and we're getting plenty of joy over there. But we haven't got Werner, James or Havertz involved at all whatsoever. Frustrating.

For the love of God, we cannot lose this. All of the good vibes and positivity will be gone within the span of a week if we don't win here. Need a major response after that shit show and big time performances from Kai, Werner, and the rest of our attack. I feel like if we lose or draw here our season is going to go the same way it went last time. Desperately scraping for 4th until the very end.
-
Win our group comfortably only to draw the toughest possible opponent. Cheers, lads. Honestly, it's all going to depend on how fit we are when this comes around. Atleti aren't an attacking juggernaut like Bayern who will batter you with beautiful football. This isn't an impossible matchup at all.

I can't even bring myself to laugh at them after yesterday's abomination.
-
Without that pace and threat of our wingers we are nothing. These players mask the shortcomings of the likes of Tammy and Giroud who are average. That sight of Ziyech or Pulisic, or CHO combining with our fullbacks scares the hell out of opponents. Take that away and we're painfully short of ideas and easy to contain as we saw. And up next it's another midtable side who is struggling with form and also missing some of their best players. Great.
-
Picked a hell of a time to put in our worst performance of the season. Doing so against a top team or a team with dangers all over the pitch is acceptable or at least understandable. To do so against a team missing so many players and in dreadful form is embarrassing. And we barely even looked like scoring from open play. Chance to go top squandered in pathetic fashion. The form of our two Germans has to be a huge worry now. Both did less than nothing today. They were in fact a hindrance.
-
How in the fuck is that a pen!? HE leaned INTO Chilwell!
-
Havertz looks like his confidence is at rock bottom. Almost nothing he's doing at the moment looks good. Simple 5 yard passes left short over and over again. We're seeing NONE of the rampaging, Lampard-esque player we watched at Bayer. Not even attempting to run with the ball and attack the goal. Sad to watch.
-
I would suggest it's time to move Werner back up top but then our already shocking width gets worse.
-
Probably our worst half since West Brom. It's as if we didn't expect this sort of setup from Everton. Just lobbing in cross after cross and hoping Giroud gets his head to one.
-
Our defenders and midfielders are looking more dangerous than every attacker. Not one of our front 4 has done a damned thing. Shocking. This is we here we desperately miss the running in behind by our injured wingers.
-
Pure shithouse tactics from Everton that are working just as they've scripted it. Diving, rolling around, winning cheap fouls. And the ref is obliging as you would expect.
-
Everton's entire gameplan was to make this as choppy and annoying as possible. And we've played completely into their hands and let them. This is a Chelsea performance from last season. Dreadful opposition on a terrible run that's missing loads of their best players. And we choke like fucking dogs.
-
Extremely sloppy start here. Can't control a football and misplacing simple passes.
-
If we're going to be genuine title contenders this is a match we have to win. Can't play down to the quality of the opposition like we did at times last season and under Sarri. Please let Timo score....
-
Midfielders will have to work their asses off to make up for the lack of pace on that right side.
-
Feeling less confident than I was. Should have plenty of quality to beat this injury ravaged Everton who are in poor form, but Pulisic's pace and dynamism would've wreaked havoc here which I was counting on. Lets hope Kai can step up.
-
Pulisic out injured again... Suddenly we have basically zero attacking quality to bring on of for he bench with CHO, CP, and Ziyech all out with hamstrings. 😑😑😑
-
Wan Bissaka is world class in 1v1 defensive situations but is utterly shocking at everything else. City can't get past him at all.
-
City look straight up disinterested. Another £200m spend incoming next summer methinks.
