If I were a betting man living in the UK I'd put money on one of Luiz or Willian scoring against us. Willian has been shocking all season and their fans hate him. But he'll want to stick it to us here. I bet one of them will score a worldie from a free kick. 😂
-
I'd actually feel good going into Arse after this result if both our fullbacks weren't out.
-
Holy shit. This is some Man United style flukey luck. 😂😂😂
-
Have we done any training at all recently? I mean seriously, we look like we don't know what we're doing out here. Aimless, bottom of the table sort of football. Our players all look like they aren't even bothered either.
-
We look fucking horrendous all over the pitch. My goodness. Literally poor in every position except for Thiago Silva.
-
We just look like a side all across our midfield and attack that is completely fatigued. Even after a week off. And we aren't even into the absolute worst of the fixture congestion yet. Hugely worrying. Seeing none of the sharpness and creativity from Werner, Mount, or anyone else that we saw just a couple of weeks ago. We're awful to watch now having been arguably the most exciting team in the league up until Leeds and Sevilla.
-
Werner is waiting and waiting for the pass and Pulisic could've played him in 2 or 3 paces earlier than he did and onto his right foot. It was 100% not the ideal pass. A fully sharp and confident Werner puts it away but that's still not a tap in.
-
That's on Pulisic there. Played it way too late and on Werner's wrong foot. Timo should do better, yes, but that was poor from CP.
-
Azpi just had a 5 yard head start there and let Rice get to the ball ahead of him...
-
We've gone totally flat and awful since the goal. Werner struggling to even control the ball once again. 😣
-
Another CB corner goal! But now BOTH starting fullbacks injured....my god.
-
No Antonio who is their most dangerous attacker and they have 50 year old tortious Mark Noble in midfield. If we don't bounce back and win this at home, after two embarrassing results, and with a full week to rest up then the whole team should be sacked.
-
Where is this "poor midfield" stuff coming from? This is now twice in 2 days you've said this. Our midfield has been class up until these last two matches just like the rest of the team. I agree that this will probably be an annoyingly tough match because WH are in great form but you're going a bit overboard with underrating our players. I'm much more worried about the workhorses Antonio & Bowen than I am about the midfield. They'll be under instructions from Moyes to sprint at our CB's as often as possible.
-
Not having that at all. They're not better man for man than our players. Fernandes is the only one of their whole attack I'd have to replace ours. And their midfield is poverty. Fred, McT, Matic etc are shite. Our team is just woefully out of form. Just a couple of weeks ago and the the United fans were saying their team was shit and ours was perhaps the best in the league.
-
The table just makes for embarrassing reading right now. To spend £200m and have the likes of Everton, Southampton, and Leicester (Nevermind Spuds and a United side their own fans have been slating all season) above us right now is ridiculous. If we don't win our next few on the bounce and get ourselves back on track then Lamps' job has to be on the line. We have the deepest squad in the PL packed with quality. Any manager would dream of having this squad. If Frank can't get them playing we'll have to get someone who can ASAP to rescue top 4.
-
United have been horrendous for 90% of this season and are above us...
-
Teams don't park the bus against Leicester like they do us. Vardy often has acres of space to sprint into whereas almost every team packs their team behind the ball against us.
-
We better beat West Ham because you know how the next match goes. Arse will be on the brink of sacking Arteta, in relegation form, their fans calling in meltdown, losing game after game in humiliating fashion, missing key players. You all know what that means whenever Chelsea plays a team like that. 😂
-
Been a pattern all season. Get important player back from niggling injury, another important player gets injured. Unlike Liverpool we don't have a world class coach with an incredible system in place so we will feel these big injuries much more. If RJ is out for a lengthy spell our opponents will be delighted. Such a massive factor defenses have to worry about will gone. They almost don't have to worry much about Azpi and can focus on the attacker instead.
-
Fuck. Knee injuries are no joke. One of our best players this season, too. 😩 I trust Azpi to come in and do well enough, but we will lose a hell of a lot going forward without RJ.
-
Honestly, if it's any one of Thiago Silva, Chilwell, or Mendy we're fucked if it's a long term injury. The drop off in quality in any of their replacements is massive.
-
I really don't get Everton. They aren't actually that good but keep winning. They have no truly top class players but are very well coached by Carlo. As for Arse, much like Man United I hope they stick with Arteta & Ole. Because if they sack either and appoint Poch they'll become serious teams.
-
I didn't think there was any chance Frank would lose his job this season. But if the next 3 matches continue like this where we look clueless then serious questions need to be asked. Dont think he's in any danger at all after these 2 dreadful results but if this continues for another 2-3 then he has to be.
-
Like last season, Chelsea acts as the antidote to struggling PL teams. Everton had been shit, Wolves had struggled to score a single goal leading up to this game and were battered 4-0 by Liverpool. It's just like last season. Whenever a shite team is desperate for a result it's us who obliges. West Ham are in great form and flying relatively speaking. Arse are in relegation form and on the verge of perhaps sacking their manager so you know with 100% certainty they'll turn up against us.
-
Why did we just totally abandon everything that worked extremely well in the first half? Pulisic was wreaking havoc and they could do nothing with him. And then in the second half he had what felt like 3 total touches of the ball. Just a disgrace.
