Arse are getting WAAAY too much joy in that area between the center circle and our defense. There’s a Kante sized hole there. They’re also repeatedly playing long diagonals down Reece’s side and finding Saka or Smith Rowe over and over. A bit concerning. If Kova and Jorginho don’t shape up there Arse can 100% get back into this.
-
That was absolutely absurd from Havertz… 😄😄😄
-
I’m not really sure Arse will play a low black. At least not at the start. Think they’ll come out initially in front of their fans and try to press us and hope for an early goal.
-
Spuds fall ass first into 3 points there. Annoyingly decent start to the season for them.
-
Seriously, that Arse XI is midtable, 10th place quality with everyone they’re missing.
-
Bags of pace in that Arse attack but they’re all basically kids. That team is light years away from ours in terms of quality. Be embarrassing if we lose.
-
Feels like Chilly and Thiago Silva have fallen off the face of the Earth. I’m very, very surprised that Werner isn’t starting. His pace and running against an injury ravaged Arse side felt like a no brainer.
-
Adama misses ANOTHER 1v1 with the keeper. He’s been playing like Messi everywhere else on the pitch but then looks like Torres in front of goal.
-
Never, ever feel confident in Man United dropping points to these small teams no matter how horrendous they’re playing for much of the game. They always come back and win over and over again. They seem to enjoy going behind almost. One 15 minute spell in the second half and they’ll probably win 4-1.
-
Spuds are legit getting dominated by Wolves here. But may still get 3 points because Wolves can’t score.
-
Adama Traore is absolutely destroying Spuds here. Was great last week as well against Leicester other than the horrible 2 sitters he missed. I’d still love him here.
-
Spuds get a pen after barely having a touch in the first 10 minutes. 0-1 😒
-
Even when fully fit this Arse team are shite. If we somehow conspire to lose against them when they’re missing like 5-6 of their best players our team should forfeit their wages for the week. Would be a humiliating result for a team with title ambitions. With our fixture list coming up we absolutely need 3 points here. Our boys need to show us that they’re mentally strong enough to not choke when they’re expected to win.
-
This guy Bissouma looks a top quality player. He’s everywhere and looks quite Kante-like. I know he has been linked to Arse all summer so I hope they don’t get him over the next couple of weeks. He is precisely the sort of player they’ve been missing and would pair well with Partey.
-
Norwich giving a great account of themselves these first two matches…. Mistake sending Billy there after all? His side getting hammered by the majority of the PL will do him little good.
-
There are going to be a whole lot of absolute hammerings of these small clubs this season by the big boys. Hopefully we can now do it like City and Liverpool usually do now that we have Lukaku.
-
All the players’ fault. If you’re a super talented and promising young player who’s at a small/medium sized club you’re an idiot if you sign a massively long contract because then the club has all the power. Kane, Grealish, Rice etc. Their clubs have zero reason to ever sell for anything less than mega money.
-
Norwich are going to go straight back down. Just like last time they were in the league they can’t defend to save their lives.
-
Hope this is finally the season that Burnley are flushed down the toilet. They’re such a pointless club both on the pitch and off. They don’t invest at all in the squad and have been playing basically the same XI for seemingly years now with the same shit tactics. They add nothing to the PL. Hope they go down and allow an ambitious club like Leeds have been to come up and actually try to improve rather than just cling on the the PL prize money. As for Liverpool, I’ve thought for a while now that loads of pundits writing them off was silly. If they can get and keep their defense fit they’ll be back to being a force. They’re genuine title contenders who have 3 forwards who can score 20 goals across all comps.
-
Tbf, Liverpool look back to their best attacking wise. They look pretty sketchy at the back here so far, though. And an opponent who actually have a midfield unlike Burnley would probably get some joy in there as well.
-
None of these players will bring in any money. Getting a couple million in loan fees is surely not what our business is dependent on.
-
Don’t think he’s that sort of player. Think he’s more like Kova.
-
So if Partey, Auba, and Lacazette are all out that’s their best midfielder and only two strikers missing, plus Leno is apparently in shit form and their defense is horrible as well and still getting acquainted with Ben White. They’re likely to have 3 kids leading their attack in Martinelli, Smith-Rowe, and Saka, then? Would be absurd if we lose this. Even if we make a silly mistake and allow them to score there’s no way this rag tag group should be able to stop us scoring ourselves.
-
Can’t imagine us spending another 200m this summer after doing so last season. But if we somehow pulled both of these off we would surely have the best squad in all of Europe.
-
You already know what their tactics will be. They’ll be feeding off the home crowd initially and will press us high (specifically on Jorginho) and try to force us into a mistake that they can capitalize on and go 1-0 up. Then they’ll park the bus and hope we can’t break them down just like last season. This is why we ourselves have to be the aggressor and take the game to them. With all their injuries and and COVID issues they’ll be playing a shocking team full of kids and a shit players who wouldn’t get near our team. There should be no excuses not to win this.
