  1. Make sure you guys translate tweets that aren’t in English, please.
  2. That’s a hell of a lot less than the 80m we’ve heard about. We’d essentially be paying ~£30m for Koundé after getting the Zouma money. Great business if it comes off.
  3. And just when I visit this thread and read this reply Fabrizio tweets that it could be off completely. Probably due to Zouma’s insane wage demands.
  4. Everything is in a holding pattern until Zouma is sorted. West Ham are probably trying to do other deals first (like maybe getting Lingard back) and if all else fails they’ll buy Zouma near the deadline.
  5. I honestly couldn’t picture this lazy, old version of Ronaldo in the PL. And he doesn’t fit the profile of a City signing at all, really. Messi made sense because of the Pep connection and he’s still essentially the same player he has been. Ronaldo has completely changed his game the older he has got.
  6. Pep must be absolutely livid. And the City ownership even more so. They’d have surely gone hard for Messi again if they weren’t preoccupied with chasing Kane and now they’ll get neither.
  7. Florentino was so scared shitless and desperate to form the Super League because he said “football can’t survive in its current state” or something. And now they’re going to spend an outrageous amount for Mbappe and maybe also Haaland next year.
  8. Funny thing is we’ll probably end up drawing Atleti again like we always seem to. So if we sign Saul he’ll have a point to prove.
  9. Hopefully TT and our Spanish lads have been in his ear to convince him. Because if it’s about playing time ONLY and talk between the agent and our board I’m not sure he’d choose us over United whose team he walks straight into.
  10. I’ve noticed that Liverpool fans are back to being ultra arrogant now their players are all back fit. They act like they’re the greatest club side ever.
  11. Who are some other midfield names that could be a short term loan possibility?
  12. They’re essentially the same player. Saul undoubtedly is better when he gets a sniff in front of goal but in general play they are extremely similar.
  13. Dealing with Atleti won’t be a problem at all. Convincing the player might be trickier. At United he’d be competing with shit players like Fred, Matic, and McTominay so would easily displace all of those. Here he might find game time more difficult to come by. If we pull it off it’s a very sensible deal, though.
  14. RLC and Barkley have no further at Chelsea. Who cares if it “sends a bad message” to them? I doubt either of them are under any delusions that they can break into this team. They surely know they’re heading back out on loan. If not Saul, a loan move for some midfielder is smart.
  15. Spanish media now saying Saul is closer to United than us. So hopefully the club have other smart options they can go after. Just not sure they want to make a huge outlay on a midfielder this summer since Rice will be the #1 target next year. That’s why a loan for Saul made a lot of sense.
  16. Hopefully he waits for us next summer and doesn’t get his head turned by United who are going to be after a DM as well.
  17. Yeah, that was clumsy as hell but a bit harsh IMO. Not at all reckless or intentional.
  18. Honestly, fair play to Moyes. He became a meme in recent years but he’s got this West Ham side extremely well coached. And they actually play some very tidy football to boot.
  19. My only real views on Saul Niguez come from a couple of years ago when he was awesome. I remember people talking about him as an £80m+ player when he was linked with United a while ago. But reading around a few places and it seems he’s been really far away from that player he was for a bit? As long as he’s someone that Tuchel himself has specifically asked for that’s great. He’s clearly highly talented.
  20. Koundé would be Azpi’s long term replacement. He is still great to have in the squad but his pace and athleticism has been waning in recent years. Koundé is picture perfect for that RCB spot. Pretty clear that TT very much rates AC and he will likely be the long term CB who plays in the middle once Thiago Silva moves on. So a back 3 for the next few years of Koundé, AC, and Rüdiger. Has everything you’d want.
  21. Damn. Really wouldn’t want to see Adama at a club I absolutely despise like Spuds. Son on one flank and Adama on the other is very scary on counter attacks. They keep Kane and they’ll have a side capable of pushing for 4th.
  22. They’ll likely continue to use him unless/until a move is sorted. Sevilla probably sees a pretty weak La Liga and fancies a go.
  23. One dude says we’re in direct talks with Sevilla, another dude says there has been no contact. Who to believe?
  24. And just think, that was Lukaku not anywhere near his sharpest and a Lukaku who has only trained with his new teammates for a week. It’s scary how good we could look when he’s in mid season form.
  25. Jorginho has been subpar today. His forward passing has been way off.
