“Mitigate the impact on fans”….they say as no tickets can be sold, the club shop and hotel cannot operate, contract situations are in limbo, and the very existence of the club is in jeopardy. The UK government is fucking incompetent.
-
I don’t think it’s a coincidence at all by the way that many of the cunts in the government desperately begging for Abramovich to be sanctioned and his assets frozen are Arsenal supporters. Sure, he may have been sanctioned eventually, but I’ll bet anything that these bastards have been lobbying Boris to expedite the process for maximum damage on Chelsea. I mean seriously, why do this now instead of AFTER the sale of the club if their intent wasn’t to destroy the team on the pitch? This is absolutely disgusting and would never in a million years happen to a club here in the States. These journalists, pundits, and even government officials went ballistic about the Super League because it fucked over the fans. Now they delightfully cheer as Chelsea fans are harshly punished for something they had nothing to do with.
-
Guess the only hope now is a swift sale that Roman receives no money from. That way the team can focus more and ensure we finish top 4 so we’re good for next season.
-
So the UK government will destroy an entire club from top to bottom because of 1 man. The tens of millions of supporters, the players, the staff, the coaches. All totally innocent and they get to watch as their club is destroyed.

I was very impressed by him for the first time. Usually I think he’s good but not great but he was awesome today. Still has that typical modern Brazilian tendency to dive constantly, though.
-
Dream scenario now would be Mbappe leaving for RM and PSG getting super embarrassed about it and buying Haaland to replace him, in turn keeping him the hell away from the PL.
-
I’ve been saying this for years. And I think City will be much the same. On the very, very biggest stage they’ll come up small. They’re both so used to having everything go their way that when someone punches them in the mouth they crumble.

ANOTHER SPECTACULAR PSG CHOKE JOB IN THE CL! LOVE IT 😂😂😂
-
We just can’t catch a fucking break with injuries, can we? Fuck sake. Even against a bottom 3 side like Norwich, Reece would’ve been important to have. Hope he’s back by next week. With Arse breathing down our necks we need our best attacking players against all these small team we have coming up.

The Rüdiger negotiations I can agree look terrible. World class CB, leader in the dressing room, one of our most important players. Just give him what he’s worth. But AC in the other hand was right in the verge of signing his new contract months ago. He was apparently totally satisfied to sign. Then his agent probably got in his ear and turned his head. Plus, it’s actually understandable from his perspective to go to Barca where he’ll likely start more than he does here.
-
If he were an integral, super important player for the club I’d agree. But he plays so sporadically that I don’t think it’ll affect the team much. If Rüdiger for example announces during the season that he’s off that could be bad.

Another absolutely HORRENDOUS owner here in America. This guy is probably the worst owner in any American sport.
-
Still don’t see any way Levy will let him go. If Kane would’ve continued to down tools the whole season, maybe. But now he has seen that if he stands firm and refuses to let him leave Kane will eventually start playing well again. Levy will know that Conte would go nuclear if he is sold. It would be just like Inter selling players against his will.

Seeing reports now that Woody Johnson is interested. For the love of God, PLEASE no. He’s a huge Trumper, was given a cushy ambassadorship by Trump when he was President, is a big time funder of far right wing shitheads here in the States, and is just generally seen as an asshole. And to make matters even worse, the NFL team he owns is one of the 2-3 worst run franchises in the league and one that every NFL fan base (including their own) clowns on for being laughably incompetent. They’re the kind of club that’s been a laughing stock for decades. This would be the worst case scenario for us so I hope it never happens.
-
I suppose since Harry Kane looks to be enjoying his football so much again that there’s no chance he’ll leave this summer now. That sucks. Would’ve been nice to see Spuds fall off a cliff for a few years trying to replace him.

Watch this be a typical Tottenham week. Spank Everton here and then get spanked themselves by a United side that are in total disarray at the weekend. As for Everton, I said a couple of weeks ago that this was the wrong job for Frank to jump straight back into management at. It was the sort of job that desperately needed an older, vastly experienced and respected manager to steady things and build over a couple of years. He should’ve gone back to the Championship at an up and coming club, rebuilt his reputation, and then in 2-3 years move back to the PL. Now he is predictably struggling at this terrible Everton side and if things continue like this he’s going to get sacked again and never get a top job in the future.
-
Seems to have gone very quiet after the initial couple of days after the announcement.
-
Ehhh, I disagree. Arteta looked totally clueless earlier this season. The overwhelming consensus amongst their fans was that he should’ve been sacked at numerous points.
-
Just looking at the table after this round of results and it looks stupid seeing Arse so close behind us. We’ve scored loads more goals than they have, we’ve conceded far fewer than they have, and we have a massive goal difference advantage over them. And yet we drew so many games against shit teams we should’ve battered that it’s theoretically possible that they could finish above us this season. I think we are vastly superior as a side than they are but we could end up in a position where they could go above us soon if we slip up just once. I genuinely wouldn’t take a single Arse player in our best, fully fit XI.
-
United are done this season. Dead team. Hope Atleti knock them out of the CL now, too.
-
Arse have a pretty brutal remaining fixture list unlike ourselves. Some big games and games against those fighting for their lives at the bottom. So 3rd should be safe for us.
-
Think Arse will be a lock for the last CL spot after today. Of those chasing 4th they are by far and away the most cohesive and have a huge advantage over United and WH who have Europe to focus on. City should smack a United missing CR7, Varane, Cavani, and Shaw like 5-0 in a couple hours. Annoyingly, I think Arse will be the real deal next season with a couple of proper signings. And with the attraction of CL football finally returning they should easily be able to attract players.
-
Think most of our remaining PL matches against the fodder of the league will be much like Burnley today. Lot of clubs fighting for survival who will make things as annoying as possible for us but if we score first we’ll blow them away. Norwich and Leeds in particular are shocking defensively. Newcastle have been jolted from the dead and have actually been impressive lately so that probably won’t be as easy as it seems. Oh, and btw, looking at the table and considering our remaining fixtures I think we can safely say now that barring an epic collapse we are a shoo-in for top 4. Really only a sudden rampage by both United and Arse would put us in danger. If City beat United tomorrow I think they’re done as a threat to us. But Pep’s City seem to choke quite often against them so I don’t entirely rule them winning out.
