What did I just say about RLC… fucking hell.
-
Knew when Kante picked up that knock against United he’d be out once again. Everton will probably want a very fast, high energy start so I hope RLC is switched on. If not this could be rough for us in midfield today.
-
Kind of a perfect storm of factors working against us today if we aren’t up for it and don’t perform to our best standard. Everton are in fight for your life mode and desperate for points, Arse are in desperation mode for 3 points to solidify their top 4 hopes ahead of a colossal NLD, and are playing against a West Ham side who will be cautious and probably rest players for their huge Europa League game midweek. So we’ll have a very difficult match whilst Arse will probably have a comfortable one. If we lose and they win the gap is just 3 points with our form being terrible and theirs trending up. We could be dragged back into the fight again. But if we win and they lose or drop points I think 3rd is done and dusted.
-
You just know it…. I won’t even say it.
-
Real Madrid could but they’re going after Mbappe who is much better. And they already have enough attacking mids. Barca I’m not sure about. They’re struggling to pay Dembele’s wages as it is and if he ends up staying I’m not sure they’ll be after Gnabry. Maybe Juve or one of the Milan clubs would try for him. Still, we should at least try.
-
That is a hell of a lot of money, damn. That’s the sort of money you earn if you’re a world class player which, as good as Gnabry is, is not. Not sure any club out there would pay him that other than PSG if they lose Mbappe.
-
Apparently Gnabry and Bayern are far apart on a contract offer. We should be in for him when the sanctions lift, surely? I’ve seen talk of him potentially going back to Arse. If they were to sign Gnabry and Jesus they’d actually have a pretty damn good attack together with the pieces that are already there.

I’m confident that Boehly’s group will be great for us initially. He’ll be very keen to keep us at the top and impress the supporters. The hope of course is that he does that for years to come.
-
Just hope it’s sorted one way or another soon. The quicker we can start negotiating with prospective signings the better. Who knows how many players out there will choose their next destination before we’ve even talked to them if this drags on any longer.
-
So, Boehly vs Ratcliffe it is. If the UK government is involved at all they’ll probably favor the British-led bid I assume. Either way, this is awesome for us. The two best prospective owners battling it out. Neither would run the club like Arse or Spuds. We would see proper ambition.
-
Well, he’s certainly saying the things we want to hear there, huh? Wants to turn us into a proper super club, invest in the squad without caring about profiting, etc. God knows he has insane wealth. He probably vaults himself to the top of the pile in the eyes of those choosing.
-
Not worried about Reece leaving at all. Like Mase, he will play his entire career here.
-
Our players have convinced themselves that it’s done. They’re already dreaming of Dubai, Miami, and LA in the summer. It’s clear as day that they’ve dropped their intensity knowing that they have just enough to draw the rest of these games or nick a win here and there. Must be as frustrating to Tuchel as it is to us fans that no matter how much he talks about still wanting to win, the players are just going through the motions.
-
I like Timo and I like Pulisic. But if we don’t upgrade at least one of them this summer we will continue to experience these sorts of results over and over. We simply cannot put vastly inferior opponents to the sword on a reliable basis because we have ZERO killer instinct in the final third. We need someone who is desperate to score or at least test keepers. Someone super aggressive. Sick to death of seeing us get the ball into box repeatedly and things die.
-
That’s Alonso’s signature spot and his signature finish into the bottom far corner.
-
Must also be said that Kai has a real weakness with his shooting. Just like Jorginho. And it makes no sense in either case. Both such technically gifted players but neither can generate ANY power with their shooting from range. He’d be even more dangerous if he had that skill. Feels like the only shots he has in his locker are ones that travel on the ground or headers. Never letting one rip in the air.
-
This is the exact sort of match we lose typically. Dominate, dominate, dominate, don’t score, then concede a silly goal.
-
Reece is just effortlessly dominating this game.
-
My goodness. We should be 2-3 up now. Whereas all it’ll take is 1 sight of goal and CR7 or Bruno can score and we’ll have blown it.
-
Feels like if we go ahead they’ll be totally demoralized. But of course we’re missing chance after chance to capitalize.
-
Mount finishes that Kante chance with ease. Damnit.
-
That United team is shocking. Their bench even more so. But I said the exact same thing when we played Arse. We can absolutely lose again if we play as mindblowingly dumb as we did then. I’m actually surprised Tuchel didn’t go with Lukaku. If ever there was an opponent for him to show a pulse against it’s these.
-
True. And I be hated watching him since the moment he arrived in Manchester. Was massively overrated during his outlier purple patch. He seemingly scored a penalty every other match and stat padded against shite sides. I remember there were pundits and shows actually trying to discuss who was better between he and De Bruyne last season. They aren’t even remotely close. Bruno is a good player, KdB is an all time great.
-
As was mentioned in this very thread earlier this morning, Fofana literally just signed a long term contract a few weeks ago. He’s going nowhere and even if he hadn’t just signed we should avoid him after that injury. And if we line up next season with Pulisic as a first choice starter we’re in trouble.
-
Said the other day in one of the match threads that it looks like they play a different sport than our team does. Every single player 1-11 in their team is exceptional on the ball. Even Ederson is a better footballer than most of our outfield players. It’s embarrassing just how far ahead of us in every facet as a club City are.
